I need to add an update to my review because they have changed the way they operate since my first visit...
It's now a self serve and the price is calculated by weight! You can mix the flavours of yogurt (may I HIGHLY suggest the pina colada and vanilla bean flavous, avoid the chocolate it tastes a little... wrong) and add as many of each topping as you want.
LOVE the renos, LOVE the new format! Also they've done a great job with social media.

Oh my gosh this place oozes ultra fun & kewl! My first visit & you can fill your cup as full or little with the scrumptious frozen yogurt. Now just a hint/tip/word of warning...whatever you fill it with, yogurt, toppings etc, your cup will be weighed and the price is determined that way ;0).

You grab a cup, then pick your frozen yogurt flavor & swirl away. You can even combine the flavors into one. You also have a choice of filling your cup on the bottom with diced nuts or I think they were gumballs.

You then take your cup over to the topping bar. So many things to choose from, fresh fruit like pineapple, heck even gummy worms!! Truly so much fun, honestly! I felt like a kid again!

The staff was very helpful & knowledgeable. Letting me know that they also are very environmentally friendly. Another neat concept in the store, is they also function as a partial art gallery. Works are displayed on the wall above the main door & are also for sale. The decor is really bright, fresh & fun. You can even sit in the neat globe space-aged type chairs. I found it to be very clean as well.

Yelp has a check-in of $2 off - the staff hadn't heard of it, but I showed them the deal on my phone & they gave it to me no problem.

I'd say this is a definite must try joint. Fun for all ages, delicious, not as fattening as one of my other fave dessert places in that area. I guarantee a great time!

Came here twice already on our visit to Calgary.  Wife was on the hunt for a Pink Berry-type place.

Located in a fairly trendy area, surrounded by coffee shops and boutiques, a nice place to stroll around.

As for the yoghurt, it was more of a sorbet than your typical froyo, more icy than creamy.  Flavor is fantastic though, the sharpness of the yoghurt can be tasted and was really refreshing.

4 stars because of the Yelp check-in $2 off deal.

I was really disappointed.   I was looking forward to trying the yummy looking treat.  Only to get a flavorless icy concoction.  The concept was good but the end product really missed the mark.

I liked that it was self serve, where you could pick any and all of the 6 flavors (btw - the green tea flavor was really bad), then you move to the dry toppings (nice assortment), and finally all the fresh fruit toppings (strawberries, mangos, kiwi..all the good ones are there).  Finally you pay by the weight.  Clearly the owner was smart by offering you only one cup size - giant !   This way you would definitely fill with more goodies than less.

Bright, colourful and cheerful are words I would use to describe this establishment.

Their menu is very limited: only frozen yogurt and yogurt smoothies, but it's very delicious and, in my opinion, more tasty than what you can get at Yogen Fruz and at around the same price points.

They have three flavours of frozen yogurt:  Regular, Acai, and Green Tea, and you can add fresh fruit as toppings.

The chairs and tables are sized to allow for conversations with friends, and there are a couple of couches there as well.  They have a big screen TV with cable TV that they use to play movies on, and an Xbox connected to it as well.

It's a place I wish had existed when I used to go to University, because it seems like it would be the perfect place to study or slack off with my friends.

Will definitely go back whenever I'm in the area.

I'm on a permanent quest to satisfy my eternal Pinkberry craving, so I was pretty stoked to try Spoon Me.

Firstly the store is cute - funky little chairs and tables, plus some big couches to sit on. I loved that! I liked that you could sit and relax for a little while. I wasn't crazy about all the stickers on the wall - it seemed a little bit busy to me but not super off putting or anything!

The girl working there wasn't really friendly or unfriendly - not remarkable customer service but typical counter service.

The sizes confused me a bit so I just went with the middle size which was really quite big! I had the original flavour and topped with blueberries, raspberries, yogurt chips and Captain Crunch. YUM! A huge, huge, huge plus was how fresh and tasty the fruit looked. It all looked like it'd just been picked - mmm!

The yogurt itself was definitely more icy than creamy, like Kaeleigh said. I wasn't crazy about it, really. Once I was done with most of my toppings I left the rest of the yogurt.

Overall it was quite tasty and I enjoyed it enough - I'd like to try their smoothies next time I think!

I bet you didn't know that this is the only - got that? - the ONLY location of Spoon Me in all of Canada. Of all the cities in our country, Spoon Me graces Calgary, Alberta with its presence, and I for one am eternally grateful.

Spoon Me is a frozen yogurt franchise in the States and what I love most about it is its threefold mission. Spoon Me believes that we all should care for the body we live in, the people we live with and the earth we live on, and they accomplish this by doing the following:

#1 - Spoon Me is a green company in that everything customers use in Spoon Me stores is biodegradable - including the spoons which are made of cornstarch.

#2 - Spoon Me frozen yogurt is made from natural ingredients and comes in at only 83 calories per serving, is fat free and contains no table sugar or artificial sweeteners.

#3 - Instead of accepting tips, Spoon Me stores accept donations to a new local charity each month with it's 'Keep The Change' charity program.

With all this aside, and my God it's A LOT, Spoon Me serves DELICIOUS frozen yogurt, has sensational customer service, and is located perfectly right in the heart of Kensington.

    So allow me to summarize:
Spoon me is good to the environment, good to our community, good to our bodies, tastes great, has exceptional service and it's only location in ALL of Canada is right here in our city.

So I'm assuming you're on your way? Yeah, thought so.

If you're going to put a fancy yogourt shop in an affluent part of the city why not sell a quality product?

Now take this review with a grain of salt.  There were many people there that day who probably had a good experience.  I just happened not to be one of them.

Two things stand out about my experience:  My ingredients weren't mixed in; just dumped on top.  The yogourt was a thin and undelicious (now a word!) and in the hot weather it separated when it melted and left a watery substance in the bottom of the cup.  And not a small amount.  I'm not overly picky but this grossed me out a bit.

Yogen Fruz is better and cheaper.

It's too bad this place isn't self-serve but their froyo was actually really good! I'm not really a fan of tarty flavours so I was glad it wasn't as tarty as the ones I've tried before. What I love about this froyo place in particular is their SUPER fresh fruits!  I like that their blueberries are not sour, frozen or dried up, and that their mango slices are not hard nor sour. They have cute seating areas and the price was pretty reasonable too, that's always a bonus!
