Splitsville is one of my favorite places to go have a brew, savor their delicious food and play a game or two of bowling.

This venue has the perfect combination of everything!  It's atmosphere creates for the perfect environment to enjoys laughs with a bite and an adult beverage on hand.

The food is excellent!  Can't say anything bad about the food because the kitchen is up to par and everything that is on the menu is above par for food at a bowling alley.  Have yet to have a bad experience...

The beer selection is nicely varied along with daily specials of food and drinks.

It is a fun place. Definitely a higher end bowling alley, and most of the food is quite good. The sushi is definitely above average, and the full bar adds an element of adult fun. The sliders were gross, frozen & so bad tasting that even my 5 year old wouldn't eat! But the rest was great! Yummy chive dipping sauce for French Fries! And try asking for Ponzu sauce with your sushi instead of plain soy.

Splitsville is not for the feint of wallet! It was $65 to take 2 small kids for 2 games of bowling. Yow! And don't over-estimate kids' attention spans. The nice thing is that each player can individually opt to have the bumpers up to avoid gutter balls.

I find Sunset Place to be one of my lesser favorite places to either park or hang out, but once inside the warm & cozy Splitsville, you wouldn't know you were in the teen thug paradise that is Sunset Place.

The one other bummer is that it can get quite busy with very long waits. They take reservations, but only for 2-3 days in advance.

    Meh.

That is the perfect way for me to describe this place. It is bit too trendy, pricey, and "cluby" for me.

For a bowling ally, go to Bird Bowl. The lanes here are too short, and it is super expensive to bowl. I think I take my bowling game much more seriously then the other people here. I also dislike the dress code after 9 p.m. My husband is a shorts and flip flop guy, so no after movie drinks for us some nights or even late night bowling.

For a bar. I don't know how I feel about it. The food is okay. I did have a decent sushi roll one time, but the fried food is nothing special. The drinks are expensive and small. The only decent beer on tap is Shipyard Old Thumper ESB, and the rest is just crappy shit beer you can find anywhere else. You think for a place that charges so much for everything, they could at least afford to put a decent draft list on. They would make more money!

The atmosphere, again is meh. My husband told me there are TVs in the men's room. I don't remember anything like that in the women's room. The bathroom attendant is weird. I feel super uncomfortable tipping someone who hands me a paper towel, which I can get myself. I also feel bad if I don't tip them. Their office is in a bathroom. It is a hard way to make a living. The service is sparse and not super friendly.

This is just not my kinda of place. I think it is a cool idea, I just would have gone a different route, you know real bowling, real beer, good food, and make it affordable.

A group of us came for the Tuesday Happy Hour bowling special - $2 games, $2 shoes, and $3 beer/wine/cocktails/sliders.  We came at 6 pm and had an hour wait for our lanes, which was fine with us since we could take advantage of the cheap drinks.  This was a great deal, and we had a blast.

However, service at this place leaves a lot to be desired.  Our waitress was the least friendly waitress I've ever had.  Not once did she smile.  When she IDed us, my husband tossed his card across the table to her, and her shocking response was a catty "Was that really necessary?"  This was completely unacceptable.  I unfortunately did not get the waitress' name, but she has long hair and identifying features of a piercing in her upper lip, a rhinestone belly button dangle, and a tattoo on her forearm.  She seemed very unhappy to be working at Splitsville - perhaps she would be happier in other employment.

This may not be entirely her fault - an 18% included tip doesn't provide any incentive to employees to provide good customer service.  We'll be back again, and I'd love the opportunity to update this review after a positive service experience.

High end bowling alley, first impression was great upon walking in. The lady behind the shoe counter was extremely nice, the music playing was great but that is where the evening took a down turn. The service was terrible and extremely slow . For a Friday night the place was pretty empty which was fine by us. When we finished our first two prepaid games we wanted to purchase additional games and we were told we would have to be put on the waiting list.  Sounds dumb but that is how it went. We received extra terrible service, we were tagged with 18% percent gratuity and the manager was rude when we told him that the server was slow.
First and last time we will visit that place, I will stick to good old Bird bowl

I would recommend this place. It's located upstairs at sunset place.  Check ID at the door since its also a bar/restaurant. The place is big, clean, clean bathrooms and everything looks new. Their food are good and fast service. If you don't want to play bowling and just a get together with your friends that would work!. They also play good music. They also make good drinks so the bartender knows how to make them!

I would give this place 3 stars for the food and 4 stars for the bowling. Since this place has been around for a few years now a bit of the hype has worn off. Unlike other bowling places in Miami (*cough*Strike*cough*) This place has not deteriorated with age. For a Friday night it wasn't packed and we were able to get a table as soon as we walked in (about 8pm-ish). The food is good. Not great, but good. The only down side is that I believe it is a bit over priced. Our waiter was funny and courteous. He even added our names to the waiting list for a bowling lane while we ate. The wait was only about 30 minutes which was perfect, as they called us for our lane as we were paying for our meal. Splitsville still looks clean and new. Not worn like Strike is getting. Our group of four had a BLAST playing two games. And at about $20 per person for two games including shoes it wasn't a bad deal. It was a great night out with my nearest and dearest. I'm so glad Splitsville still looks as great as it does and I know I will be visiting again soon.

How much of a fat@$$ am I?? I went to a bowling alley just for food.

Splitsville is a bowling alley AND a dinner lounge. I've heard good things about the food so I thought I'd give it a try (well that and I had a $35 Groupon that was to expire the next day). Anyways, I ventured out to Sunset Place to give the place a shot. First off, if you want to save a few bucks, park on the street or in the South Miami parking garage (connected to Ra Sushi) and walk a block over. As soon as we walked in, we thought it looked pretty nice for a bowling alley! The dinner lounge was pretty legit. There are TV's everywhere (AND TV's in the bathrooms right above the urinals...Awesome).

We wanted to have a try at many different items so we opted with the Shanghai Shrimp, Volcano Roll, and some regular French fries to go along with it. For dessert, we got the Brownie a la mode and the Guava Sushi (sounded interesting enough). The Shanghai Shrimp was a nice portion of flash fried shrimp with this spicy sauce (similar to Sweet Thai Chili sauce), but it wasn't spicy for me. It comes on a bed of lettuce as well. It tasted great and had a nice sweet flavor behind it. The Volcano Roll was decent enough. It is essentially a Shrimp Tempura roll with lump crab meat on top. The lump crab smelled fishy and I thought the roll would have been better without it. I thought the fries were going to be nothing noteworthy, but they come out hot, crisp, and served with this incredible chive cream sauce.

Then, on came dessert. The Brownie A la Mode was a HUGE chocolate brownie with Vanilla ice cream on top and drizzled with chocolate syrup. The brownie was crunchy on the outside, but it was very moist on the inside. The guava sushi was decent. It was guava and cream cheese rolled up in sweet rice, topped with crunchy chips and drizzled with strawberry sauce. I thought it sounded good and for some reason imagined a pastelito sushi. The guava sushi was....ok. It wasn't as good as I had hoped and the sweet rice didn't fit well with the whole mix of it all.

Overall, the place was good. The prices are a bit steep, but the ambiance is great. Everything looks so nice and clean. You might think the bowling would be a distraction, but it really isn't. If I didn't see bowling decoratives everywhere, I would have thought that I was in a normal restaurant. If you're looking for something to do, try getting a lane at Splitsville and grabbing some food afterwards.

Been here a few times and have enjoyed it every time. It is extremely pricey, but it certainly is a nice atmosphere and something out of the ordinary for Miami. They have several bars in the place and they are all well stocked with plenty of TVs to watch just in case you have to wait for a lane.

The food here is good as well. I recommend the fries as an appetizer as the sauce that they come with is excellent. The Filet Sliders are the best thing on the menu in my opinion. I would not order the sushi at all, however. I've seen them prepare it and it comes in sealed bags and the "sushi chefs" just literally cut the rolls as they walk them out from the back of house.

This is certainly a place that I would recommend to people, but be prepared to wait unless you have a reservation in advance. Another note: the place is 21 and over after 8pm and they have a dress code. They also have half price games during the week as well so that's worth taking advantage of.

I think splitsville is a great addition to sunset place they have a great atmosphere to have a good time even if your not bowling. I suggest going during happy hour they serve half off appetizers and drink specials. Their food is very good they have from sushi to burgers pastas and steaks all very fresh. The service even when it is somewhat crowded is attentive, the bowling lanes are a tad skinny compared to standard lanes but still plenty of fun for the whole family overall.

Very much fun, great sliders & full bar. It's a bit pricey but ok cuz it has a great location being inside Sunset Place. They tend to have a red pin among the white ones, if you get a strike you get a free game. If you think you can knock 'em all down call an attendant BEFORE you bowl so they can witness your earned free game. Otherwise, depending staff, it can be upsetting.

This place caught me off guard. I brought a lady friend here and I just thought it was going to be a place like Strike in dolphin mall. I was wrong it's bigger and the atmosphere is almost more of a restaurant/lounge feel, that just happens to be a bowling arena. Not sure what there happy hour is but I ordered 4 beers and 2 sushi plates and everything came to under $30. I was like "heck ya!!". Oh and they serve their draft beers in a frosty pimp cup! Will most def come here again.

If your looking for a great bowling experience this is NOT the place.
Bird bowl or Strike Miami in Dolphin Mall are a better choices for this fun sport.

If the goal for the night it to eat, drink, and be merry- NOT bowling much- then by all means stop by Splitsville. They have a large selection in drinks and sometimes special. Pricey on some drinks.

There is a lot of space for a birthday party or party in general outing. Service is quick with drinks. Service for bowling lags a bit unless you bugging them upon the issue. There is billiards to play as well.

2 stars for bowling experience. 3.5-4 star on somewhat pricey group party experience.

A while back I bought a Groupon for Splitsville so one Saturday night we decided to try it out.  We planned on getting some snacks, a few drinks and getting our bowling on.

When checking in at the front desk the woman asked us if we wanted one game or two. As in, you couldn't play more than two games.

The wait was about an hour and a half for the lane so I gave the woman my cell number (great idea) and walked across the way to read some magazines and get an expresso at Barnes and Noble. It is so easy to kill time there!

A lane finally opened up and I was very unhappy to find that there was a large pole that actually protruded into part of the lane. We are not professionals so didn't bother to get back on the wait for a different lane but we probably should have because it was really frustrating and kept getting in the way!  I noticed a couple of other lanes had the same problem.

We played our two games and then decided to order a little sushi since we had not wanted to be eating with dirty bowling hands. We were informed that we needed to move elsewhere if we wanted food, and that we would have to get back on the wait if we wanted to play any more rounds because people were waiting and we had only paid for 2.

We we really annoyed by this and truthfully it ruined our evening. We were so annoyed that we decided to just leave hungry and get some sushi from RA.

Because of the hiccup, we hadn't spent enough money to use our Groupon so now we need to go back again before it expires. I guess if you're going for the bowling, it's better to go on a week night for HH drink specials and cheaper games.

Oh, and make sure to ask for an UNobstructed lane.

Eh... I have been here several times whenever the bowling itch hits me and I do not want to be overrun by children. I am a horrible bowler so the itch does not come often.

This place is ok if you want to grab a bite to eat, have a drink and chit chat. The food is tasty - I love their honey wheat crust on the pizza, just excellent. The drinks are good and the staff is friendly. I especially love the over 21 past 8pm - SCORE! I am a foodie so yes, the quality and ease of the food does lure me! I will come back over and over for their sushi, pizza and drinks.

Although when it comes to bowling? The place is limited. there is more space for the bars, lounge area and food area than for bowling. The lanes are crowded. If you bring more than 4 people, you will be spilling over onto the other side of the booth.

Also - the wait is long because it is usually pretty full on the weekends.

It is an OK place if you come early enough and just want to get out and do something a bit different then lounge at a bar or a club. If you bring a larger group it may be more fun - that way you can occupy both sides of the booth.

Be prepared to wait at least an hour though and make sure to pay for as many games as you think you want to play right away because after they are up, there is a waiting list and you can no longer add.

    Happy Bowling!

I usually find myself here right before catching a movie next door. There are plenty of seats at the bar and they have some creative drink items served in an over-sized glass (score!)  The place is spacious and they ID after 8pm, so it keeps the amount of kiddies to a minimum.

I came here for a friends birthday on a Saturday night.  This place got the 5 stars for the simple fact on how it's designed... I love love love that it's divided into 2 lanes and each lane gets their own little table.  We had a huge group, so we reserved the two lanes.  It was perfect, we had our own personal waiter and he was always coming around.  He was quick to bring back our drinks :) Always a plus!!!

    Some Tips:

    1. It can get a bit expensive (w/drinks & games), but they have great deals during the week days.
    2. The shoes are quite cute and don't smell...Perfect if you are a little OCD.
    3. At night, they only allow 21 and over.
    4. If you go in a big group, pay for one game at first.  We made the mistake of paying for 2 games and we had about 6 people.   Well it took way too long and by the 2nd game, my attention was done.
    5. Customer service was excellent, so great place to go with friends.
    6. If you want to do something fun with friends or have a competitive nature... This is a good place to go :)

    Happy Bowling!!!

I have been to Splitsville a couple of times and every time i leave i can wait to go back the next time.
To start the have great sliders (they are by far the biggest sliders I have ever seen). The last time I went I had the goat cheese AL forno appetizer and it was delish.
They play pretty good music, but the best thing about Splitsville has to be the huge frozen cups they give their draft beers in. I am a huge fan, and vow to be a loyal customer as long as they keep up the frozen huge cups. Every time I've gone service has been good, but our waitress the last time i went ( last night) her name was Brandi was AWESOME and such a sweet heart.
I love this place, i recommend to any one who wants a relaxing night with some good drink and good music.

$3 for a game of bowling and $2 to rent shoes.
Even though their site and their windows say they close at 2am, they actually close at midnight during weekdays. I went with a group around 11pm and they only allowed us to play one game due to the time. Then they separated our group into two different lanes so we can bowl quick and get out even quicker.

Nonetheless , if you love beer, they serve Miller light in a 18oz pimp cup for only $3.50.

Nice place to gather with friends, drink, eat and have fun!  It gets crowded during the week.. plus having a HEAT game it does put more people on the bar, eyes over the TV... for the Miami Heat!  We started sitting at the bar and later on moved to a table..

Happy Hour is around 5-7pm, drinks are very good!!  One would think that the food is not their forte, but hey they do try their best at it!  We ordered some fries (were super yummi with spinach dip), rolls (believe it or not, they were good!!), and some cookies.  Try those cookies next time you visit, they are soooo good, taken from the oven to your table - two flavors, chocolate chip and macademia.

No bowling, but we had a good time!!  Service was friendly and prompt.

I never thought that I would move to Miami and take up bowling... but this place is so awesome that it has inspired me to do so. Food is decent - some things are definitely better than others though. Recommend the ahi poke, the glazed shrimp, and french fries... the pizza is a bit greasy, and the sushi is just okay. The desserts are ridiculously good though.
But other than that, it's a nice clean bowling alley that makes you feel like you're in the dream portion of The Big Lebowski, not the creepy, slightly skeezy, real bowling alley. Now if they could only get the children's birthday parties to calm down and stop running on the lanes...

I never have a bad time whenever I go to Splitsville.  They bf and I always go on a Tuesday because they used to have the $2 Tuesdays ($2 games and shoes.) Now I think they changed it to $3 but it's every weeknight, not just Tuesdays anymore. Either way it is still a good deal for such a clean, upscale bowling alley.  Tuesdays at Splitsville have consistently been getting busier (good for them, bad for us), but even last week when they quoted a 20 minute wait I still got a call on my cell about 5 minutes later that our lane was ready. Let me make it clear that if you want to know what happens at Splitsville on a night other than a Tuesday, I can't help you.

Now, the food.  One-topping pizzas are $5 after 9 pm and they are yummy!!  I tend to keep in mind that this is a bowling alley, and maybe I even cut them a little slack, but the pizza is crisp and tasty.  It's not the typical gummy dough, plastic cheese that you might expect from one.  I also thoroughly enjoy the sushi at Splitsville.  It is expensive but when I consider that the bowling is so cheap, I let it slide and order it anyway. I always get the Cucumber Kani Su.  It is consistent and refreshing. I have tried a number of other rolls and they never disappoint.

Drinks are on special on Tuesdays (I want to say half off?) and they also have a good 'in the biz' discount.

The only thing I have not liked at Splitsville was the brownie.  They did not fool me by calling it a brownie.  It did not look like a brownie and it did not taste like a brownie.  It was chocolate cake, and a weak one at that.  I dont get dessert there anymore. But this just leaves the opportunity to have dessert elsewhere, or a chocolate martini perhaps?

Good Lord I'm a terrible bowler- I can't make a strike if my life depended on it- But I'll always have my dignity....and I don't go down without a fight!

I do think it's a bit pricey (for bowling), plus shoes, plus the time allotted, plus if you decide to order drinks or food, the tab pushes higher as the hour passes-

But it's fun! My recommendation is to go on a night when they have specials. The music is upbeat, it's a great atmosphere to meet up with friends, there's people excited about making a strike (or gutter balls, ie, me) and it's very spacious. The food is tasty- nice variety. The sushi is OK, but I'd go for sliders anyways, especially in a bowling alley. The drinks are big- if you're in a group I'd say go for a Fish Bowl if you can handle it and share amongst friends- sharing is caring :D

We didn't finish our game in time, so it froze mid-frame. They explained what happened and later on allowed us to finish (I lost, but hey- )

What I like is that it's got shorter lanes, increasing your chances of striking and I guess it makes the game faster, so there's a lot of action. I'll keep working on my form, because there's a rematch coming, and this time I'm sure to make at least a spare, or maybe I'll shoot to keep it out of the gutter!

I'll be back for a fun evening out!

    I have a love/hate relationship with Splitsville.

I love that it is in my neighborhood and so close to me. I love that it is something different and fun to do on an evening when bored. I love that it has a cool, funky design. I love the layout of the place and some of the music they play. I love the food, especially the Thai Shrimp Quesadillas and the Bubba Shrimp sushi roll. I love that kids aren't allowed after a certain time. I love that they offer specials like $2 bowling Tuesday to Thursdays after 9pm and $5 pizza Tuesdays and $5 sushi Thursday evenings.

But I don't always love the staff. Sometimes its very inconsistent. Sometimes they let you take an extra pizza to go, sometimes they don't. Sometimes they are mega-rude at the hostess counter where you pay before, giving lots of attitude where none is necessary. And sometimes they screw up your lanes and give you one already taken. Or sometimes you wait an entire game before a waitress/waiter even shows up to take your order. And sometimes you get there and they tell you there is an hour wait when half the lanes are empty as you walk around.

But like I said before, $2 bowling - you can't really complain... even though I just did.

Today I did a mitzvah and  saved a good friend from a 5 hour layover at MIA while travelling from Lima to Paris and got to check out Splitsville in the process.

So I did the obligatory MIA airport drive through pick up and shot over to South Miami...about 15 minutes away.   We ate lunch somewhere else (broad wink to those who know me) and then with about an hour and half to spare before Sara had to check in again to MIA hell, we decided to walk up the street and check out Splitsville.

There WAS a 2 hour wait for a lane but thankfully we had anticipated that and went and booked one before we went to eat.  Saturday afternoon at about 3:30 it was full of families but it didn't have that annoying level of noise or that histronic "chuck e cheese" feel about it.  It was actually quite fun with kids there (because I had one of my own with me LOL).

The place is beautiful. White "Leather" backed banquettes in one bar area with white curtains looked very nice, I could imagine having nice drinks and appetizers there while waiting for a table.  My son appreciated the tv's at the urinals and yes, the ladies bathroom was very very nice with lots and lots of stalls.

I had a peek at the menu and the prices are a little on the steep side but it IS waiter service and the staff are very attentive and friendly..if they continue the way they are going, you won't have to go looking for someone to take your order.  The family in the lane next to us had ordered this absolutely GINORMOUS mojito....I was so jealous...being the designated driver and all that.

Pricewise, its AS expensive as any other bowling alley I've been to.  The only thing was that every other place provides the shoes free - here they rent them for $4.00.    I didn't have socks because I hadn't anticipated what we were going to do for the afternoon, but they sell socks there for $3.99.  The last place I went to they wanted almost $6.00 a pair.

And yes Sabrina....you could almost take the shoes home with you they are that cute.

Swanky, might be the first word that comes to mind when describing this upscale bowling alley.

I went there for their opening night party and was treated to complimentary eats, drinks, and of course bowling.

As soon as our little group walked in we reserved a lane and then broke up and did some laps before all reconvening at one of the plush, white booths at which time we all agreed we were in love with Splitsville. And there is a lot to love.

We sampled sliders ranging from turkey burgers, to chicken sandwiches, and even some sort of breakfast sausage perfect for all of us breakfast fanatics. The sampling plate also included bbq chicken pizza and fresh sushi, mmmmm. As far as desserts the rule was no dessert that night but since our little group included a preggers member we were given VIPP (Very Important Pregnant Person) treatment and allowed to sample the chocolate chip cookies. The cookies were hot, fresh, and fabulous.

Also fab was the bowling service as I received a call on my cell phone when my lane was ready. Our group moseyed on over to collect our rental shoes but found brand spanking new adorable bowling shoes. I'm talking so cute, you wouldn't mind wearing them out. One of the bowling hostesses then collected out shoes in a basket and led us over to our lane, where she handed out shoes and set up our computer.

It's also important to note that more food came out to us when we reached our bowling lane. So food will travel all throughout this adult playground. But you'll definitely want to be the one doing the walking as this place has several bars and a small, but busy dance floor. Of course with tunes courtesy of James McEwan of Automatic Slims fame it's easy to see plenty of people jamming all over the place. That includes an impromptu electric slide in the middle of the bar area,  and people jamming out while bowling. I'm talking head thrown back singing and dancing were everywhere. Yes twinkle toes, you'd like it here.

Splitsville has a fun energy, delicious food, and is a great way to spend some time with friends. I could see many a birthday boy or girl being serenaded here as this place is set up to be fun, fun, and fun. It helps that attention was paid to including having ESPN in the gentlemen's restroom. Yeah there is definitely a lot to see and do at this bowling lounge.

Go on and get your score on roll model.

    OH MY GOD!
Now my night was totally amazing, but it was also totally free. Company was also amazing, of course. I must be said, Yelpers really know how to party!

So, I'm going to talk about the stuff that was cool about this place that had nothing to do with the free part.

The food is really good. We aren't talkin' bowling alley good, we are talkin' restaurant quality good. They have a flippin' Sushi bar inside a bowling alley for goodness sake!
Now, the food is also restaurant prices, but they give you large portions that are meant to be "split" between people. (get the theme?)

This is really only 25% bowling alley, and more like 75% nightclub and bar. There are bars everywhere, including next to the dance floor.

The interior is really snazzy, and the service was wonderful. The bowling balls are all pretty colors; ladies, you can coordinate with your outfit. And they even have little cubby holes for your shoes built into your comfy benches behind your lane.

Definitely going back. Great place to mingle and meet!

I had the absolute pleasure of coming to the Ocean Drive VIP party here on Monday night, before it even opened to the Public.  We had the opportunity to try their snacks, drinks and bowling gratis, which was a *nice* touch for opening night.  This place is just phenomenal!

Very sexy and sophisticated, from the moment you walk in, you almost forget you're at a bowling alley.  The place is spectacularly designed, and the lights, decor, and furniture are very trendy and mod.

The first thing you notice are the several swanky bars strategically placed throughout the alley, ensuring easy access from any lane.  TOTAL Bonus!  There are several areas for just gathering with friends and having a bite, as well as small tables in the bar areas for standing and finishing your drink.

I arrived with a group of friends, and we of course wanted to bowl.  So we reserved our lane and decided to check the place out.  We all kind of split up and went in different directions to explore this brand new center of fun!  On my exploration, I counted a total of 5 bars (or was it 4?), a dance floor, and the fact that there are tvs in the bathrooms.  NICE!

I found the rest of the group and we decided to sit at one of the plush white booths and start sampling the treats they had to offer.  From BBQ Pizza, to California Rolls, and the most amazing Sliders ever (ANY flavor rocks and we tried them ALL!).  We were even treated and made privy to their chocolate chip cookies...  They were so good, it was like a warm chocolate orgasm in your mouth!  NOT KIDDING!  Hot and gooey, Mmm Mmm GOOD!

I will have to admit...  I really wanted to accidentally leave my bowling shoes on and forget my own there, but alas, I took them off and returned them.  They are the cutest things ever!  And it was nice, because I was the first person to put on that particular pair of shoes.  So I broke them in!  :)  The lanes are beautiful and designed well.  There is a table and benches directly behind each lane, and there are cubby holes in the benches to store your shoes.

All in all, this place is just fantastic and fabulous!  This place is great for groups and gatherings.  I would like to plan an event here, or perhaps host my birthday.   As a matter of fact, I think I just made up my mind...  And I can already forsee myself here many a night, drinking, dancing, bowling, and just having a great time!

    One word: FANFRIGGINTABULOUS!!

Went to Splitsville last night after coercing my friends to change dinner plans to bowling/drinks/dinner plans instead. It was a group of 10 and we were celebrating my friend's birthday. (It's 21 and over after 8pm-- which was fantastic)

We all trickled in between 8 and 8:30ish.  We didn't wait much to get a lane, and while we waited, we took advantage of their delicious drinks at the bar. There were people there but it wasn't packed. Drinks were reasonably priced-- and the bartender was really nice and attentive.

The bartender told us that they were doing  a soft opening to make sure they have everything right before advertising and getting slammed. They're going to start running alot of ads in November, so you might want to go before the rest of the city is in on this.

This place completely blows both lucky strike and strike miami out of the water! The service is top-notch. They bring your shoes to the lanes and enter the names on the computer for you. One random employee even walked by and gave me a bowling tip!

As for the cost-- I paid for 2 games ($6/ea) for 2 people plus shoe rental ($4) and tax and it was $34. While at the lane, we ordered Parmesian fries (delicious!!), Chicken Quesadillas (also delicious!!!) and a Volcano Roll (surprisingly delicious!!!), 2 beers and a stoli/redbull & the grand total on that was only $52.----- And as for paying with a group which can be a nightmare- they actually rung us up individually before we started bowling so we didn't have to worry about splitting a bill after we were trashed!-- That was a really good added bonus!!!

I will definitely be back to Splitsville and it will be my new bowling destination of choice. Grab a group of friends and check it out before the crowds get there. GO GO GO!!

I didn't know this and you might not know either but Splitsville is open for lunch on Fridays! That's right, you can either take a lunch break and bowl or enjoy their tasty food.

I went to lunch recently with my friend and we opted for the Magarita Pizza. The staff was very nice and very attentive, and right before my friend and I decided to order a pizza each thinking it was a personal size pizza our waitress stopped us in our tracks explaining it was about 8 slices and fairly big, my friend and I looked at each other and decided to share. Thank you WAITRESS! It was just the perfect size for us and we ate every last bite, thin wheat crust with just the perfect amount of cheese and fresh tomatoes, only thing I could have used was less sauce and a little more basil, but over all it was very tasty.

Last Friday we decided to try the sushi. My friend and I decided on something light, the Cucumber Kani Su -- It's a cucumber peel wrapped around crab and I'm not sure what else with a light sauce to die for, so fresh and refreshing, that I think I'll go back for more. Very Delish :) We also had a small Seaweed salad that was also very Delish! Thank you Laz for an exceptional experience. (Sushi Chef)
And our waitress was very sweet and on top of things.

Great lunch with great people! Thank you Splitsville!

I would have probably 4 starred Splitsville... had I gotten the chance to actually bowl. I tried calling the place to make a reservation knowing that I might have to wait for a lane but the automated answering thing didn't give me the option for one. Around 7:30 I walked and put down my name on the list and gave them my cell. They told me the wait was two hours for a lane. That's good. My date and I weren't meeting till 9:30 anyway.

Unfortunately I didn't get the call for the lane till close to 11... by then neither I nor my date wanted to bowl.

What we did do was go to the bar where they had some unique drinks that you could pick off the menu. I had the Georgia Mojito which was excellent while my date had some chocolate martini concoction that she said very good. Expect to pay up the ass with the drinks though. I think both were $13 each. But you're really paying for the atmosphere and the bar wasn't packed. We were waited excellently by the friendly bartender. The music was great so it got us into the mood to go dancing at Martini Bar downstairs.

So in conclusion.. you can bowl.. just go on an offnight. Great drinks but you'll pay an arm and a leg for them. And have a backup plan ready if you can't bowl right away. What was also nice is that there is NO COVER unlike the snobbish Strikes at Dolphin.

Alright, imagine if you will Maria's review of Splitsville but only a bit funnier and not so grammatically correct. Add in some "Booo this ..." and " GOAT that ..." and you pretty much got my review to a T.

I will have to check this place out when I actually have to pay for stuff to give you an honest review but aesthetically it is wonderful. The staff is really friendly and the TV's above the urinals are great after you break the seal.

I guess the days of Big Lebowski-style bowling alleys are over. I don't think the Dude would fit in, in Splitsville. New-style bowling is as upscale as it gets - with cocktails, gourmet food and the nicest bathrooms I've ever seen. The only thing that hasn't gotten an upgrade, unfortunately, are the shoes.

I'd only walked through Splitsville before to pick up the male half of our crew. But last night, we headed out for $2 bowling and half priced sushi - very appealing to my aching wallet.

The place is LOUD - much more like a nightclub than a bowling alley, but I guess that's what they're going for. They have pool tables, to boot.

We sat, and our server promptly helped us choose from the half-off ($5) rolls on the menu. Frankly, it's a great deal, and the rolls were HUGE & surprisingly delicious - especially since I'm somewhat of a sushi snob. I was also totally tempted by the rest of the menu, which was impressively large.

I had one well drink - $7 seems a little steep (maybe I've been spending too much time at Wetlab?), but it went down smooth. I asked about drink specials, and was told they didn't start till 9 ($5 well drinks).

Then, we moved to the alley, and started our game. Yeah, it's embarassing when you roll three gutter balls in a row, but I'm not the competitive type. :)

The place loses one star because I asked our new server (we got a new one when we moved to the lanes) if there were any drink specials (this was after 9) and he said no. I assumed he was right, but was later told by my companions that he was wrong. Fail!

We paid for two games and only played one, so they gave us a coupon for a free game, which is a nice compromise. All in all, I could get used to upscale bowling - especially when $2 games and half priced sushi are involved. :)

This is a mix of a bowling alley and a club. It only has fourteen lanes, but the 6 bars and the flat screen tvs set to ESPN everywhere (and yes I mean everywhere) more than makes up for the wait. Good food, hot staff (had to be said, a lot of pretty ladies working here) and great music... somewhere I am sure I will be visiting again.

Can't be sure about the cash yet, everything last night was free, but judging by the location, service, and style I would suggest hitting the ATM before showing up (oh yeah they have an ATM...so scratch that).

Woohoo, what a nice place. Why, have I never come here. We only had about thirty five minutes before our movie so we ran in, sat at the bar and was looking around in awe. We sat at the Sushi bar and the guys were so cool and the sushi looked so good.

Our lovely waitress came over and we told her we did not have much time so can we just get one order of sliders and fries. She was so sweet, grabbed the manager as he walked past and asked him if he could put a rush on our order. The manager was like of course, not a problem, we will take care of it. Very nice, friendly guy, who was working very hard making sure every guest was taken care of.

As promised our food came out in six minutes flat. Sliders (Cheeseburger) were good, the fries, oh my those fries were delish! With a side of chive dipping sauce. Heck, I think all I ate were the fries and two bites out of the sliders. LOL Seriously, those things could be very dangerous, crinkled cut, with great seasoning on them.

Our waitress came over to check on us, gave us our check and we were on our way. She thanked us and said come back in after the movie. She was a doll. From the bar, the food, the service, the management, the cleanliness, the alley's, oh it was cool in there. On my list to come back and chill with some good food and drinks and possibly bowl one night.
Yes, at night after eight preferably. There was way to many screaming, lunatic youngsters in there for me. And of course the parents all let them run around acting like total animals.  Our waitress told us they are not allowed after eight pm. SCORE!!!

Really liked the vibe with the music as well. Can not wait to go back.

So we didn't make it out to Splitsville on opening night like our yelp royalty (the likes of Maria A.), but it didn't disappoint two days later on a non-busy Thursday evening. It's obvious this place has not been discovered yet and everyone should take advantage of it before it gets packed.

It's got a bit of a 50's theme going. They had plenty of employees there and they were extra friendly. It almost seemed odd to me how nice and helpful everyone was. It even looked like they were having a good time right along with us.

Here's a tip--request a corner lane. A- You'll be right by the bar area and B-your server will canvas the area all the time. The drinks were great. Their menu includes "bowls" of drinks...I believe the bartendar said it was 64 oz. Didn't seem intimidating, but didn't want to look like a tourist. There's always next time. The menu had a full array of cuisines. We managed to eat american, japanese, and mexican all in one sitting. Fries and sushi...mmm.

The vibe was great and the music was perfect to get my game on. No turkey for me last night, but how could I with all of the great food and drinks--Bowling was just a bonus.
