Finally got the chance to try out this restaurant last evening. Very convenient location: close to Aberdeen Canada Line station. The interior design wasn't fancy: just casual.
Only some of the items on the menu were spicy. We ordered the Spinach Tea Tree Mushroom Noodle in Sauce and the Grandma style tofu. Very tasty and not oily at all. My friend and I really liked them.
A dessert was included.
No problem with the service. -

If you're looking for some real Asian / Chinese traditional vegetarian food, this is for sure the place to try.
They have arguably the best "Zai" (Chinese word for Vegetarian) in town, the chef himself had spent over 10 years learning how to make the most authentic and historical "Zai" from Chinese temples and restaurants.
I tried the Vegetarian curry fishball, raddish cake, spring roll and most of all, the Vegetarian Sashimi dish. It blown my mind to hear how Chef came up with the most creative way to make Sashimi the vegetarian style. His creativity is crazy, and I'm not surprised as he won the best vegetarian restaurant award in 2011.
My wife and I were very satisfied and we had a great conversation with the chef.
We're going back for sure. -

As most have already said, the spice is a lie.
That aside, really great place - feels like having lunch at a Chinese friend's house. I went with some buddies and we were treated very nicely-We ordered some friend noodle things, a rice dish and some faux chicken thing - none of which I know the names of since all the talking was done between my friends and our waitress (it was all in Chinese).
The food was pretty good - it reminded me a bit of Bo Kong/Whole Vegetarian but with a more home cooked feel. -

Came here with a vegetarian friend to try out some dishes. We had fried rice with seaweed and basil and tofu rolls and black fungus salad.
The food was a decent 3 out of 5. I have to remind myself that when I order from these places to ask for less salt or no sugar. Sometimes to ad flavour some dishes can get overly salty.
The service was slow but that's just how they are. You have to keep asking and they'll reply with a smile. The lady there was a bit forgetful and for some reason, it added to the charm.

To be honest I was a bit skeptical, but I must say I was quite happy.
The place looks like it is run by a mom + pop type deal. Really friendly service. The interior decor was VERY clean and well maintained.
They do a very good job of cooking the bean curds and whatnot to simulate meat. After the first 2 dishes, I forgot I was eating vegetarian.
There was a TV playing Buddhist Karaoke songs. It does add a nice touch, and the songs aren't tacky or cheesy at all. It adds to the temple-like atmosphere.
Dinner for the group came to $9/person after tax and tip. Wow!
The biggest group the restaurant can accommodate is about 8 people. After that, you'll have to bring together 2 big round tables, which is honestly not the best setup. -

Came here about a month ago, and was very pleased. Even the carnivorous BF was impressed. Shared three dishes: Mock BBQ pork, pan fried curry rice noodles, and deep fried bean curd wrapped basil. All were excellently prepared.
Service is a little slow with only 2 staff on the floor during a weekend lunch rush. However, they make up for it for being attentive and very friendly.
Was wary to try the vegetarian salmon sashimi, but after a very passable mock bbq pork, its convinced me to go for it. -

Vegetarian options in Richmond are a little limited, so I was happy to find this little gem.
The food is tasty and quite reasonably priced. I usually stick with the lunch specials. They're a great deal for 7-8 bux. Soup, rice and your dish.
The name is a bit misleading. It's really not spicy at all!
Oh, and, they're closed on Wednesdays. So, don't go on Wednesdays. Repeatedly. Like I did. -

I came here once with my friends ages ago and loved it. Recently I was in the area so I decided to pop in. Turns out they close for a few hours between lunch and dinner service. I arrived at 2:30. They close from 3-5. The lady seated me anyhow and then I realized they take cash only. (needless to say I was a pain in the butt) They were nice enough to take my order and let me run into the near by mall to get cash. The staff was very kind to me and didn't rush me or turn me away because I came late and had no cash on me. The service was great! I ordered the spring rolls, an eggplant and tofu dish (on the front of the menu and I don't know what it was actually called) and a rice noodle and fake shrimp dish. The lady told me it would be to much for one but I planned on making this meal stretch out into a couple! It came to $30 and I had it for dinner that night plus lunch the next day (and my boyfriend had some for dinner to!) I recommend this restaurant to vegetarians and non vegetarians alike.

The spicy part is a lie. I can forgive that though, because my tofu and eggplant was amazing! We were in the richmond area and found this little place. Often Chinese vegetarian places are too faux meat heavy or nearly impossible for myself, who cannot have gluten. Spicy Vegetarian cuisine was neither of these. Our waitress was amazing. She was great with my allergy and made recommendations about which dishes would be good. The chef made my dish special to make sure it did not have any wheat or gluten at all. My husband had Singapore noodles, which was a very generous portion. The waitress even told us what part of his dish had wheat, just in case I wanted to try it. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and things filled up quick! It seems a bit of a two-man show, with one cook and one server. We didn't get everything we asked for (an order of turnip cakes and some chili oil) and service slowed down quite a bit as the place filled up, but we were perfectly content so it didn't really matter in the end. Also good to note, it is cash only, but behind it, near the sky train station, is an HSBC in a mall where you can get cash.
