Excellet green onion cakes and hot&sour soup! This is the best I've had in Alberta. Every time I'm in Edmonton, I go to Spice Kitchen to satisfy my craving. I also like their shanghainese fried noodles with pork (you can ask for the handmade noodles that they make fresh onsite). Some times I'm crazy enough to even get the hot&sour soup for take-out so that I can take some back down to Calgary.

I can't vouch for the other dishes because I order the same items every time. And they are consistent time after time, at least on these items.

My family passed by this restaurant a couple times so we decided to go here for some dim sum.

On the inside, the place was small and packed since it was on a Sunday morning and we waited a little before sitting down. Their prices are reasonable though they didn't had a large variety of dishes as with other places I've been too. The food came out ok although my pork bun was cold in the inside (probably because they didn't heated it up enough) and the shrimp dumplings were very soft and soggy.

One thing I didn't like was that the manager and waitress keep coming to our table as we were eating, insisting us to try out their other dishes. If we wanted to order that dish, we would've done it at the start.

I'll probably won't come back unless my relatives or friends want to go but even then I would recommend them to go somewhere else.

Go to Spice Kitchen. It sits on a strange little corner on University Ave, easy to miss. but a treasure!
I cant account for anything recently, but this was one of the first places I ate at when moving to Edmonton. Soft spot, maybe, but I remember the food as being fantastic. Like the previous review, the green onion cakes and hot and sour soup are awesome. I remember their hot pots to be great also. Like most Asian food, everything is best shared. Bring some friends and check it out.
