If you've never experienced all that is Spencer Gifts, the best way for me to describe it is as the Adult 'SanFrancisco' Store. You feel me?
Picture a store in the mall, with black lights beckoning you. You walk inside and there is everything from blow-up dolls, to lava lamps, to street signs, to PG greeting cards, to sex toys, to costumes, and the list goes on and on.
I've never been big on 'junk'. I say that lightly because I don't mean to offend. But seriously, having moved 5 times in the last 9 months, the LAST thing I need is to be worried about where I left my vampire fangs, or where my Beer Pong has wandered off to. But there really is something inviting about this store. Even if you're not a novelty item collector, you can still find the appeal in wanting to 'just have a look'.
Being a minimalist, the only things I've actually purchased from here are greeting cards and wigs...yeah, don't ask.
It's one of my favourite mall stores to have a look around in, even if I don't often leave with a bag. It's an experience and I enjoy perusing the sexessories, the room decorations and the body jewelry.
What's that they say? "Look But Don't Touch", that's often my motto in this store ;)
