I visited the North Vancouver location and was lucky enough to enjoy a full body massage, facial, pedicure and manicure. All of the staff were excellent, super friendly and I really enjoyed the atmosphere.

I went on a Friday afternoon and while it seemed a bit busy it was not too bad. My only irk was the lounge area which really isn't large enough to accommodate all patrons when really busy and it's a tad awkward with men and women in their robes waiting on their next treatment.  I also thought the pedicure room/areas could feel a bit more private vs a sheet separating the other rooms.

Every service that was provided was excellent and the staff were really great. I really enjoyed it and the lunch was perfect.

I just have to give this spa my honest opinion.Corporate.

Beautiful looks...all the right words in all the right places. You walk out feeling like a number. The therapists are overworked & underpaid and it's obvious.

When I booked a facial I was told that my appointment is booked for 10am.  So I got there at 10 but when the treatment started the lady told me that my time has started 15 minutes age, because it has started at 10!  When I told the manager that if that's the case you should have told me on the phone to be here earlier to get ready, she just said:"oh yes, we do, maybe they forgot to tell!".  That was it!  Useless manager with a fake smile...So I paid a $$$ price for a very mediocre facial (not one of those that you feel your skin has come alive after it) and my teatment was 15 minutes shorter than what I paid for becuase the front desk forgot to tell me that when they book me for 10, it means on the bed by10!!!!  I will never go back there again.(Pan Pacific location).

When I go to a spa, I usually like to combine two services to make my time more worthwhile. This time I had a body wrap and RMT massage. The body wrap was just OK (not worth it).  The massage was good, the RMT was one of the most experienced ones there. However, for some reason I feel like an object on the table?!  I had a strange feeling that I was there to be fixed, just like other women... Standard service, 3-star because this spa lacks personal touch. Eucalyptus cold towels and hot stream rooms are very nice. Very well stocked changing room and shower room.  The grout lines (in showers/ steam room) need cleaning badly, they're dirty and moldy.... Very good business there, many women sat in the lounge on a Monday afternoon waiting to be 'treated' :) I would prefer the North Vancouver one.

OMG!!!!  I am in LOVE!  I received some gift cards for my birthday and bridal shower (they were a couple of weeks apart) for the spa and I was super excited to go as I have never been to a spa before.

I went in for the exclusive manicure so that my nails would be nice a pretty for the wedding photos.  Since I wasn't showing my feet I didn't get the pedicure but next time I will.

Since I had never been there before I got a wee lost when I went in as it's in the basement of the Pan Pacific Hotel.  Right by the Cruise ship entrance.  When I got there I was greeted by the friendly people at the front desk.  It's so beautifully set up and I was in heaven the moment I walked in.

When I booked the appointment they advised me that as a spa guest I could use any of the facilities and also could use the hotel's pool.  I decided to forgo the pool but I did use the steam room and I loved it.  This place is so elegant I wanted to move in.

The bathroom has water with cucumbers or lemons, which I had to drink.  I am a huge fan of cucumber water.  This is also where the steam room is.  I was able to get a few minutes in the steam room to myself and used the cold eucalyptus clothes on my face.  They are so good if you have a cold and I definitely need to start doing that at home.  It was so very relaxing.

After 10 or so minutes I went out to the lounge area to partake in their signature drink which I need to make at home.  It was Rooibos tea sweetened with apple juice and mint.  It was superb and since I grow my own mint it's easy for me to make.

It got kind of comical at the time of my appointment as it turned out that there were 3 Catherine's there for spa treatments at the same time.  Nothing like getting mixed up.

I wish I could remember the lady who did my nails but unfortunately in my wedding fog I have forgotten but what I can tell you is that she was awesome.  We talked about everything and never once felt uncomfortable.  She also brought me a wine to enjoy while I was getting my nails done.  It was a nice little touch for me.

When it was done I went back to the lounge and sat for about half an hour with another Rooibos tea.  I had a few of these because they were so darned good!  I should also mention that there are dried cranberries, dried bananas and almonds to eat as you lounge.

Now what makes it only a 4 star review is the toilet paper.  Yes, the toilet paper.  It's horrible.  My lady parts like softness and the toilet paper here does not fit the bill.  One would think with the prices here they could afford better.

I will be saving up in the future to buy the Costco gift cards so I can go again.  Wedding's break the bank so it might take a bit lol.

I have been to many spa's but this has been the best experience yet. Not only do you get a deal by going to Costco and buying the gift cards, but I also asked for a Registered Massage Therapist and am able to write off my massage through my extended medical.

K did my massage and she was wonderful. I didn't ask for anyone in particular but will definitely ask for her again next time. The room was very calming, simple, and she was very professional and hardly talked. I had severe neck pain and I left with only mild pain. She asked a few questions before hand to understand my situation and what I'd like out of my massage and then got right to it.

I stayed afterwards. There is a sauna and a steam room which I didn't use but it looked nice. I did use the showers and there was a blow-dryer and curling iron for me to use as well. There were shavers, shaving cream, deodorant, feminine pads, shampoo/conditioner/body-wash, and many other things you might need.

The lounge is huge and beautiful. Lots of magazines and places to sit. The waterfall is stunning. I was able to help myself to nuts and fruit, and about 20 different teas, 3 different coffees, water (lemons and cucumbers) and wine.

The staff are really professional and the place is clean and quiet.

I suggest taking the elevator down from the convention level because when you get to spa's floor it's noticeably across the hall. I took the stairs and got slightly lost, but that could just be me :)

One word. Heaven. Excellent service, staff are extremely attentive and professional. A beautiful spa, very nice common room...sip on wine and enjoy dried fruit and nuts while you relax in a comfy robe on leather couches before and after your treatment. Prices are not cheap, but you won't ever feel like it's money wasted!

Really relaxing spa! I usually come about an hour or so early because, since you're a guest of the spa you're allowed to use the pool! It has an amazing view especially if you come at night! In the spring/summer, you have the option to have the seasonal scent of massage oil and smells wonderful! I dance a lot and my muscles get really stiff and sore so I usually get Richard for my massages (sports massage)(since ladies aren't usually strong enough for me...). They have a nice steam room in the changing room and while you're waiting, there's a sitting place where you can have a variety of teas and coffee (I think, I usually don't drink much coffee so I wouldn't know) and dried fruits and nuts! Really love this place and I'll always come back!

I visit Spa Utopia quite often for therapeutic massage.  Apart from once having my personal items stolen, I give Spa Utopia 5 stars for service but subtract 2 stars for the most glitchy, frustratingly slow online booking system EVER; it's like their server is an old Atari.  The only thing slower is dealing with the desk girls via telephone - it's that painful.  By the time I get my bloody booking sorted, my massage has become a necessity!

Spa Utopia is the ultimate spa in Vancouver.

From the moment you arrive to the time you leave, there is this feeling of serenity.  I visit this spa about 7-8 times a year and the front desk staff here are very organized.  I never had any problems even if I tried to think of something.

Services I have had include the massages, spray tan and facials.  All are 5/5 and I never hesitate to tell my out of town friends about this place.  Most people in Vancouver know about Spa Utopia already.

If you decide to get a massage or facial, you can access the change rooms afterwards which include lockers, steam room, showers with high quality products and any other toiletries needed to get ready.  The steam room with eucalyptus is a nice touch.  I recall having a sore throat one day and I spent 30 mins in the steam room.  It felt like heaven on my throat.

Spa Utopia as a chain is always lovely.  This location is great to go to during the day, when you aren't fighting with everyone for the steam room.  There is something lovely about having the steam room and sauna to yourself - make sure you go early!  Our nail technicians were good (mine was Carmen) and went out of their way to make us feel at home.  We were even able to get a room to ourselves (for my girlfriend and I) to get pedicures in a separate room at the same time.

I still love the North Van location more though - the relaxation area is a bit more spacious and the steam room definitely is larger there.

Leave all the stresses and burdens of life at the front door, Spa Utopia is the place for ultra relaxation!!

I have been to the Vancouver Spa Utopia many, many times, and I love the spa more and more each time I go. I am quite the massage connoisseur, so I am always trying out the different massages that Spa Utopia offers.

One of my favourite benefits to going to this spa is the fact that you can arrive early or stay late, or both, and enjoy all the extra features of the spa. The ultra relaxation lounge with complimentary snacks and drinks, the Eucalyptus steam room,  sauna, and the endless amounts of complimentary toiletries in the change room.  They always call you by name, and will make sure your experience is thoroughly enjoyed!

Spa Utopia is one of the best spa's in Vancouver, and I highly recommend going to this spa if you are looking to treat yourself. If you do end up choosing this spa, take advantage of the extra features Spa Utopia has to offer (see above) and go early/stay late.

(note: If you go for a manicure/pedicure, do not use the steam room after, it will wreck your manicure/pedicure)

    Best spa ever!!

This spa beats all other Vancouver spas hands down.   The second you walk onto their property, you are in that place where you know you will be pampered, treated right and forget that a real world exists outside those doors! I easily spend atleast 3-4 hours there when I just book a 90 minute massage...

The only thing is that I usually go on the weekdays to beat the weekend busyness that can happen there.. where there are more people than usual, where bridal parties may be happening and nonetheless.. not as relaxing as it should be.. so my tip would be to go on a weekday during the day! (easier to book into as well)

It's a given that you have to book ahead of time. Don't expect to get into an RMT, and with your friends a few days prior. This spa trip needs to be planned out well with the girls atleast 3 weeks ahead.  Plus, doing this - it gives you and the girls something to look forward to!

The last time I went.. (a couple months ago) I was a little hesitant cause of the construction outside Canada Place.. but Spa Utopia is a little underground and they must be soundproof.

My fave package is the Royal Utopia Massage which includes a face massage, hot stones, a full body massage and a foot wrap.  Prior and post you are welcome to their steam room and sauna and to use their showers. Don't forget to enter the steam room with the cool euclalyptus towels provided!  In between you can relax in the lounge in your robe and have their rooibos tea with fruits and little snacks..

I would highly recommend this spa with the given conditions highly!

By far (so far in my short life) this spa has the key to my heart.

Every single time I come to this spa everything is absolutely perfect.

I adore the layout, atmosphere, the amazing organic spa-made tea, all the refreshments (including nuts, fruits, etc)... OMG I just love this place. Pricey but who cares when you're in heaven? Live now.

The masseuse's follow the same routine every time and it's amazing. They really take care of you like you are a big brick of gold.

Don't forget: Arrive at least 30 minutes prior so you can eat, drink, read magazines and relax in the lounge. I like to arrive 45 minutes early, lol.

    Love.

The spa is great! Not complaints there.
Came in several times and had nails done, massage, facial, waxing, all great!

But only beef with this place is their cosmetics return policy. I purchased a Jane Iredale concealer there 2-3 months back and the packaging broke. Having paid 34CAD+tax, I can't get any product out. I called them this morning asking what they can do for me, granted I had no receipt. The receptionist asked for my last name and couldn't find the record of purchase in their system. I told her that I wasn't asked for my last name when I was buying the products, so naturally they wouldn't have it. Basically, they couldn't do anything. Because of this, I am never going back. I would like to know if I spend my money buying exclusive products, I would get exclusive customer service. No luck here.

I'm in love with Spa Utopia.  It is definitely one of a kind.  It is pricey, so I only go there a few times in a year... or as many times as my coverage allows.

They record everything and no detail is missed.  Even if I haven't been there for a few months, when I go back they always ask me follow up questions.  The spa includes a steam room and a sauna which is complimentary to use.  A relaxing sitting area where you can read magazines, gossip with girlfriends while chomping on nuts, fruits and sipping on wine and juice.  Perhaps one of my favorite things is their changing area.  I love using all the different products, lotions etc.. even the ones I usually don't use.  A touch up make up session is also included when you leave.

Make sure to book your appointment before July 1st.. because HST will add 7% additional to the cost :(

I always ask for Richard.  He's the best!

So I seem to perfectly time my spa appointments when it's grey and rainy outside in vancouver...what better way to spend a few hours tucked away in this oasis!

I recommend arriving 15 - 30 min. ahead of your appointment.
    a) if it's your first time, you need to fill out a client info card (health, allergies, standard information), then you'll be shown around the change room facilities and your locker.

Change into a robe and enjoy a little steam room/sauna session (upstairs in changeroom - most people don't even know) and your massage therapist/esthetician will come looking for you when they're ready!

or else, just head out to the lounge/rest area, pour some rooibos tea with apple juice sweetened champagne glasses and lounge in large comfy sofas!  and there's a nice assortment of dried fruits/fresh fruits and mixed nuts, a definate treat after a relaxing massage.

the staff here are highly professional and service is fantastic!
as for the locations, i love the pan pacific the best because of its sauna facility and it's larger sitting room. (all 3 have eucalyptus steam rooms)

    n. Van has a nice view of the Burrard inlet

langley - similar to n. van except no view, of course; hmm..i have a feeling there was some renos done, but it's got bigger lockers, i think..it's been a while since i've been there.

in regards to value for service, i'd like to think it's worth it here compared to other spa facilities in vancouver.  For a few dollars more, you really get a retreat experience (and not some clinical feeling) and you end up spending more than just the hour service because of the steam/sauna rooms which is the best after a massage!

I had the Luminous Glow facial today with Dawn and I cannot say enough of how wonderful the whole experience was.

I was greeted immediately and led comfortabley into the change/steam/sauna/waiting area very professionaly.  I came early enough to enjoy some time in the steam room and then enjoyed a beverage and fruit in the waiting area where I chatted with another woman waiting for her treatment.  Typical Enya-ish music but it was very enjoyable in a (er. slightly tacky design) very open space that was calm.

My esthetician Dawn was very professional, very personable and took every care to make sure I was comfortable at all times.  I don't go to the spa often but I loved the treatment room with the very adjustable table for optimum comfort and all the lovely smelling treatments.  Dawn had amazing hands that massaged at just the right pressure and she never made me feel like I had to chit chat or not.  I highly recommend her in particular for facial treatment.

After I enjoyed the luxury of taking all the time I needed enjoying snacks or the steam or sauna room and had a makeup touchup after that was actually a bit odd.  The lady (forget her name) said she wouldn't do mascara for hygeine reasons.. but I wonder what happens if people actually go there for makeup application?

Other than that a delightful experience and if my budget allowed I'd be there once a month.

Bought some gift certificates at Costco and gave $250 to my boyfriend.  Took over a year for him to use them, so happily they do not appear to have an expiry date.

He went for the 50-min facial, 50-min manicure, and 50-min pedicure.  He came out glowing!!!  Had a fabulous time.  Enjoyed the wine ;-) and felt very relaxed.

He would like to go again... and again... and again. =D

Great spa for the ammenities, but not for the quality of services offered...

I just wish Vancouver would just have an all in one spa, that delivers on service as well as having all the amenities. I've been able to find ones that have incredible service, but lacked the high class amenities that Utopia has.

Had a facial, and it was nothing special. I had facials (general one) in other countries and in the States, but I think they really missed the quality expected for such a high end place.

I have extremely sensitive skin & thought they were going to use the answers that was completed before the facial, but they didn't. I broke out in red blotches when they used a cream that was not suitable for my skin. Later she used a more mild cream after seeing the reaction.

I thought I was getting a 'custom' facial and ended up with the exactly the same one as my friend-which was a 'rejuvenation' facial. They used the same cream & procedures.

For skipping the crucial step of understanding my skin type and asking basic questions like in my previous experiences, I was not impressed with the quality of service delivered.

    Disappointing in quality...

I've been coming here for years but recently have had a couple of bad experiences. It seems that the staff have begun to make a habit of rescheduling your appointments without notifying you. Twice in a row I've showed up for massages which have been mysteriously "moved". I hadn't been given a call or anything.  Despite the profuse apologies, nothing was done and I had wasted yet another Saturday morning. So if you want to come here, make sure YOU call the day before to confirm.  I will not be coming back.

Today I had a day of pampering, and what better way than to treat yourself to a full body massage. What is even better is getting a gift certificate and not having to pay for that massage.

Spa Utopia was one of the best experiences I have ever had when it came to pampering. They really make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in.

As soon as you walk in you feel the calming sensation of the running water and the serene sounds of the nature music. They show you where to get changed, they also provide you with a locker to lock up your belongings and give you fluffy white robes and towels. I was very impressed. They had complimentary water jugs in the washrooms with lemon and cucumber. Dried fruits and nuts and fresh fruit you could munch on. Assorted teas and coffees. You really feel like you are the queen of Sheeba while you are there.

I would highly suggest to anyone to get the Spa Utopia Royal Massage. You get a full body massage, and a hot stone massage as well. I would also suggest that you have Kevin as your therapist. He really works your kinks out of your muscles.

I enjoyed a few services here...

    1. A customized facial - this was great because I went in asking for a specific kind of facial, but the esthetian used her experience and knowledge to let me know that what I was asking for was not good for my skin - so she customized a facial for me and I'm not going to lie, I walked outta that spa radiating and glowing!! It was great...

    2. A hair cut and color - My dead locks were revived by my "master stylist" (it costs about $10 more to get a master stylist)... I got chopped off and transformed and was barely recognizable when I left the salon. I was like I was on one of those makeover shows!!

    Absolutely fabulous!

Absolutely sub par massage for the price we paid. Maybe I've been spoiled by my regular massage therapist at home but I was expecting a good thorough rub down of my back, shoulders and neck (as this was the name of the therapy we booked). Instead, I felt like my 4 year old niece was rubbing me down. There was no rhyme or reason to the massage, and the therapist did not dig into the knots I know are there. Instead, she told me after the massage: "You hold a lot of tension in your neck". Ok, then why didn't you get in there and work on it?? I was (and still am) pretty annoyed we paid so much for the massage. Spend your money elsewhere.

I really enjoy this spa.  The thing is, I usually drive up to Vancouver when I decide to visit..so after a three-ish hour drive (more like 2.25, but hey, who's counting?), the best way to start off your stint in the city is with a massage.  But who wants to go into a massage after they're all gross from sitting down driving for hours?  This is why I like this place--they offer a super clean locker room with showers (fully stocked with skincare products), so that you can freshen up before moving into your spa treat of choice.  It's so nice to have this option.  The massage therapists are also very good at their work, and you can opt to have a light meal in a serene little dining area afterwards as well.  Pricing is comparable to that of spa services in the states, and parking is underground (under the Pan Pacific Hotel).

i was so lucky to have rec'd a gift card from a client to this place...
i was SO overdue for a spa day...

i got booked in for a design for U facial...
i got there a little early since i heard there was a steam room and sauna to use....
sat in the steam room for about 10 mins...
i need to get me one of these in my house..seriously...any stress you may have had will literally evaporate from your pores as you sit there in a towel and breath in that steam... if i didn't have to be in an appt in less than 15 mins, i would've stayed in there.
got out there and took a quick shower to clean myself up.
it felt like i was in a daze as i floated into the lounge area to help myself to some water and fresh fruits.
i settled into a big comfy couch and soon Melize magically appeared before me to say she was ready for me.
she guided me down many twists and turns to our room...the place is HUGE! the whole place makes you feel like you have stepped outta  normal life and into another wavelength...of UTOPIA... =)

Melize was fantastic...she adjusted my table until it was just right, explained to me what she felt was best for my skin after a careful analysis...and while i was resting under cool eye covers and my mask, she massaged my footsies...Bliss Bliss Blisssss....

my skin was GLOWING afterwards... and i floated back into the lounge where i enjoyed a flute glass of their signature rooibis tea and some more fresh fruit and nuts.  i settled back into the big comfy couch and read a magazine before i finally got ready to leave.

i got a little bit of a makeup touch up on my way out.  unfortunately, the lady who did it wasn't the most pleasant.... she was rather on the dry side.  but Melize's services was so darn good, i barely even noticed.

i really really hope my friends will give me a g.cert. from here...like, on my bday?? ;)

Spa Utopia is trying very hard to give the most relaxing experience possible.  They generally succeed, but it is important to give some thought to when you are visiting (weekend vs weekday), because they can get packed.  It is not so relaxing to be crawling over fellow spa-goers to reach your locker.  That said, the sauna and steam facilities are lovely, and my deep tissue massage from an RMT was *excellent.*  Some of my fellow sardines in the locker room said that the North Van and Langley locations have all of the poshness and pampering, but with more space.  I'll need to give that a try.

Had a relaxing facial only to be gouged $16.50 for 2 hours and 10 minutes of parking. It's disappointing they don't validate anymore.

I usually go during weekday mornings (i.e., max 3 to 4 people in there with me the whole time there), so I may have different experience as some of you.  I find it very tranquil when I got changed and into the waiting area.

They provide different kinds of herbal tea, coffee, juice, fruits, nuts and lots of magazines for you to enjoy.

I've had different facials and massages there and I have enjoyed it very much.

They usually offer a makeup touchup for you at the end of your stay for free.

2 months before my wedding I had a makeup trial with an independent makeup artist. She informed me that my skin was very dry and needed serious attention to exfoliation and hydration. I went into Spa Utopia for a series of 3 facials, and they worked miracles on me. My esthetician Janet even phoned me between sessions to make sure I was cleansing and moisturizing. I have never experienced an equivalent level of customer service and professionalism in any other spa in Vancouver.

I have become a spa expert, this is the best spa l've been to, the north van location as well as the pan pacific, extraordinary beyond relaxation experience.
