It is good to see another food truck in the QC.  The pink truck making stops around town to offer cupcakes is a welcome addition to the scene.  I do not know how they will work out - generally street food is a bit on the greasy side - but it is definitely an interesting idea, and I hope they do well.

As to their offerings: A half-dozen(ish) cupcake flavors, boxed up nicely in a plastic container for you to take with you.  Ours did not make it far, so we likely contributed to global warming or some other non-green, environmentally unfriendly beast out there as we threw out the plastic just a few steps from the truck.

Hey, we had to try out the cupcakes to see what we had, right?  Back off.  The actual treats were also a touch on the small side, but that makes them good for those on the go.  Too much larger and you would not be able to eat them while walking without getting them all over yourself.

I was excited to try these because everyone went on and on about the famous cupcake truck..... hmmmm, I was extremely disappointed. Sorry, but the presentation isn't the best, the flavors I tried were all disappointing and the frosting was awful. I had the strawberry which tasted like Hersey's strawberry liquid...the flavor tasted like fake-strawberries, I would have preferred a natural strawberry taste. The chocolate....the cake was ok I guess but the frosting was probably the worst of all.
The banana cupcake was good, but once again, I had to scrape off the frosting because it was so bad. The red velvet was also very disappointing.

What is this you say? Delicious cupcakes by way of a cute pink truck? Yes, please! I first met Owner Emma Merisier at one of her special "stops" during an event at a local boutique. She was bubbly, personable and ready to sell some cupcakes. She did not have to twist my arm--her lemon cupcake was delish! I have not tried her other treats but would be willing to give other items a go.

Meet the Business Owner: 'Emma M.

In 2002, I decided to follow my passion for baking and enrolled in a cake decorating class at a local craft store. Upon completion of the first class, I realized cake decorating was a nice compliment to my already delicious cakes. I began making cakes for family and friends using bits and pieces of what I learned from the class, along with my own creative ideas. Before I knew it, I was signing up for the next two courses offered at the craft store.

My "A-ha" moment was when a friend said, "Your cakes are delicious enough to get paid to do this." I started experimenting with different recipes and cake designs in my home kitchen. In 2006, I started working at a local bakery where I'm still perfecting my craft every weekend.
