I just moved to Vancouver from California and thought it would be difficult to find (and trust) a new massage therapist.  I was wrong!!!  She's fantastic!  I think I can go try that Grouse Grind everybody talks about.

I have had several massage therapists in my day and Sonya Scheer is the best. Her knowledge of the human body is remarkable which always continues to impress me. I showed up on her table with a mess of problems from a major surgery years ago and was not able to provide her with many details as to what muscles were missing and restricted. Sonya was able to tell me at the end of my first appointment what muscles I still had and explained to me in detail why certain movements were difficult or impossible. I have been to countless doctors over the years and Sonya was the first to spend time with me explaining in detail what I had been through. Her techniques are not only deeply relaxing but theraputic with lasting results.

Sonya has been my massage therapist for over a year. She provides the best massage I have ever had. She's helped me through several injuries and it has been very effective. Sonya has a vast medical knowledge of muscles and she is very helpful in explaining what is going on with your body.

I had been to several places for a massage in Vancouver and knew I had found the best one after a session with Sonya. She is very intuitive and gives your body exactly what it needs. She is quite knowledgable and is highly effective in helping the body heal.  If you have any aches or pains and want to feel amazing- go see Sonya!

I have had really valuable sessions with Sonya while going through some whip lash issues.  There was one day where I was crying in so much pain and got in to see her for much needed relief.  She takes the time to understand my situation, ask the right questions then explain in detail what my issues are.  Then she takes the time to recommend stretches and tips to help me in my recovery.  I love that I can go to her online booking system and at any time see if she is available, and book an appointment right away.  I've also tried her online videos on stretches!

A passion for Massage Therapy was developed while Sonya received treatment for her own injuries as a ballet student and performer. 20 years of ballet training has given her a deep understanding of the importance of proper stretching and muscle strengthening. Having to manage chronic injuries during this time has also provided her with insights and empathy to injury, chronic pain and the specific demands required on the athletic body.
