Now I am sure you have all sorts of reasons why tanning is bad for you and blah blah blah, which I understand and which is why doing anything in excess is not good for you, but living in Vancouver during the darker months tends to make people go a little rage-y (I.E: moi!) and a small dose of vitamin D does people more good than harm. I actually have a skin condition that only benefits from uvb (the healthy kind) exposure, believe it or not, so tanning is therapy for me too. In small doses!
Moving on from my rant, if you are going to tan, Solaire Eclipse near Yaletown is the perfect tanning studio! This is, without question, the nicest tanning salon I have ever been to, and subsequently, the most expensive. There are quite a few options here, from regular lay-down beds, to lay-down and stand-up high powered beds for a quick, get-in, get-out session. The extremely knowledgeable ladies will assist you with anything you may need. Don't worry about forgetting your goggles either, because they provide hospital-sanitized ones with each bed, allowing to avoid those silly stickers that no one likes having near their eyes anyway! -
