SoftMoc is definitely my go-to place for shoes. I love their website-and-store policy. If it's listed as "In-store" on the site, it's guaranteed to be in store. I always scope out the enormous 50%-off sales on the site, run to the nearest store and snatch them up. And it's not all Converses and Havaianas either. They carry genuinely attractive boots, booties and flats here from brands like Nine West and Kenneth Cole. Plus the sales. Oh, the sales! You'll see the prices fluctuate from time to time and it's all a matter of guessing if they'll get any cheaper in a few weeks or if you should grab them now.
Now more about this location itself. I'm giving it five stars, even though I didn't end up buying anything today.
The salesgirl was so pleasant and nice. I explained my entire dilemma to her -- the shoe I was looking for, the occasion it was for. She strongly suggested that I look elsewhere because the shoes they were carrying at the moment didn't fit the bill. She even suggested some places (GetOutside).
No worries about pushy salespeople trying to reach their minimums per hour here. Just friendly, chatty customer service.
The area is great too. I can run like 5 errands in the area at once. -

Soft Moc is a bright shoe store for girls, boys and children. The store itself is well organized and clean. They carry plenty of brands such as Clarks, Uggs, Crocs, Converse, Skechers, and Nine West to name a few. They also have their own Soft Moc shoes and shoe care products. The staff always has answers to my questions and their very kind and helpful too.
The store is not that big and doesn't carry a wide selection of shoes which I don't like. Although this store carries my size for every shoe they have, I don't find their shoes to be that tempting. However, I really like the selection of UGG boots that they have. Also, they carry the Ugg shoe care kit which I found very difficult to find anywhere else. The Soft Moc shoe care products are great- their leather conditioner has transformed my old and dull leather boots into amazingly shiny new looking boots. Other conditioners I've used just made my boots look greasy.
Overall, Soft Moc is an okay shoe store. Just don't expect too much.Listed in: Yonge & Eglinton, What Girls Love

I'm really liking SoftMoc these days, especially during my search for the perfect winter boot. When I hear the store name, I think comfy warm slippers. I think the shoes they sell fit: comfy, practical and these days quite trendy. Its unfortunate that most SoftMocs in malls are overlooked as "old people" shoes (that's how I used to see it anyway).
If you actually go take a peek, they are becoming quite trendy, with so many different styles (as per Monica B.'s review).
I came here to buy me a pair of durable, comfy, but not ugly winterboots. They were having a crazy sale (January) and I scored Kamik's for $69.95. They had Sorel's here as well.
I chose to come to THIS store because when looking online I saw that most of the boots styles were available here. When I arrived, it was huge, brightly lit and full of shoes. It's bigger than your average shoe store, and bigger than the average Softmoc by a long shot.
So much selection, and the one staff that worked there Friday night was really friendly.
I would definitely come back to take a look the next time I'm out for a comfy shoe.
They also have a very user friendly website with even better discounts at times. Be sure to sign up for their loyalty card, and collect points!
