That there is a very nice ballroom dance location, close to downtown St. Catharines, is a fairly well kept secret. This dance studio specializes in American style ballroom dance (Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot, Rumba, Cha Cha, Bolero, Swing & Mambo). The folks here are great. The desk is often staffed by Michelle, who is also one of the instructors. She is very friendly and approachable as is the studio owner Mathew Psarakis. The studio has a nice large hardwood floor, and nice high ceilings. There is a small parking lot in behind, and there is also free parking along the street. As an out-of-towner, from New York, I've come to the studio only on a ad-hoc basis when in town, and as such I haven't participated in any of their group classes or parties, so I can't comment on them. I have gone to the studio to get some practice in with Michelle and Kristina both of whom I found to be very accommodating especially for a difficult case like me (a fellow from a foreign studio with different nomenclature and steps). The one thing that I think could be improved upon are the hours of operation. While they are open every weekday, they currently are completely closed on weekends. Hopefully that's something that will change as demand for their fine services continues to build.
