The chicken tacos were absolutely awesome, best tacos we've ever had!  Even for my wife who I call a safe eater.

The only reason i didn't give them a 5 star is because I believe 5 star needs to be the absolute best food possible.

The Bugolgi was very good, i ordered it med-rare not thinking i like medium.  my fault.

The roast corn tea was actually quite good.

The staff is very friendly, as is the cook who came out to talk to us.

This is my go to restaurant in downtown Kelowna for a consistent good and (relatively) healthy lunch.  The b-bop is great... and the spicey beef soup (when they have it) is my favourite part of the meal.

Good service, and the owner almost always comes out to check on each of the tables.  Sometimes when they're trying out new dishes they'll bring out a sample for the table too.

I haven't tried the other Korean restaurants in town... and might not, solely because I can just keep going to Soban and not get tired of the food.

Bindaetteok (Korean Mung Bean Pancakes), Kalbi Tacos, Kimbap (Korean 'Sushi' Rolls), Kimchi and Bean Sprout Salad.
Mmmm.   Lunch was  a mini trip to Korea..... or at least a trip to Koreatown in  L.A.
I enjoy the variety of dishes here and the professional service.  It isn't slow- You won't run into the 'disappearing server' here or feel overwhelmed by too frequent table checking.    (The much despised expression "How is your meal tasting?")

Save room for a Korean dessert- Yakshik  or Sugongkwa.  (Sticky rice desserts.)

I grew up on Korean food.  My mom made kimchee all the time, bulgogi and whatnot.  This restaurant is actually better than my mom's great cooking.  I mean it is really really good.  And if you are unsure about what to order - tonight I had the "sampler" which would be a great introduction to Korean food.  The short ribs are about the best thing anywhere.  Variety is amazing and even though you'll stick to your favorites, this is a place to experiment.  You gotta try this place, and if you do, you'll be back again and again.

We went to Kelowna for a friend's wedding and the first evening we were on our own for dinner.  So hubby looked around Yelp and saw the solid reviews for this place so we convinced our friends who'd driven over from Van to join us.
We got in and the place was well maintained.  Modern decor with big booths lining the place.  We snagged a booth and got down to the business of ordering.  I ordered the bibimbap and hubby ordered the sampler.  We had some Korean newbies who went on the waitresses recommendations.  All of us walked away happy.
I didn't think I was that hungry but when hubby asked for a bite of my food I realized that I'd finished it.  Same thing happened when I asked for a bite of his (all's fair).
Then as we were sitting there finishing up our beers, the owner/chef came out to see if we'd enjoyed our meal and just check on us.  He asked us if we were from Kelowna and when we told him we were in town for a wedding, he offered to show us where it was on a map.  He proceeded to sit down with us for about 10 minutes chatting and pointing out places on the map for us.  He was sooooo nice!!  I would recommend this place not only for the food but for the amazing service and if you're read my reviews, you know service is just as important if not more so to me.  So if you're in Kelowna run over there!!

Unusually good food. Best Korean food in the Okanagan, perhaps in the province. Try the LA inspired tacos. Flavours are very good. Not a typical restaurant. The owners are young and hip to food trends. Brown rice and vegetarian options.

This is an unappreciated downtown restaurant. Its always quiet in here. Excellent food. Try everything. You'll be pleasantly surprised. Ive had most of the dishes and found them a pleasant change from the usual sushi or Canadian Chinese dishes found in Kelowna.

Modern space, spare but comfortable.   The food was tasty but came to the table room temperature.  Small menu but a good intro to Korean food in Kelowna.  Chef was very nice and toured the tables for intros and comments.  We will definitely be back.
