I have been a member at this gym since 2009. I have to say that it's changed throughout the years. They offer a variety of gym equipment. It's always been clean. I always seem to bump into the cleaning people when I go during the mornings. I pay a very reasonable price for this gym compared to other bigger gyms.
Yes it doesn't include a shower. I have no issues with that since I don't like to shower outside anyways. The bigger gyms I have been to does have a shower but it's filthy.
It's open 24/7 so you can drop in and work out whenever you want, it will work according to your schedule not the regular gym hour(s).
All in all, reasonable price, has most equipment. -

I have been a member at this gym since 2010, I find that compared to other gyms the service and variety offered can only be deemed average. where this gym shines is the ease of use and lower fees.
This location has some amenities such as lockers and weight scales, but does lack on showers and an adequate sized changing area.
When looking for a gym if you aren't too picky and are looking strictly for a place to exercise, this gym is great. If you can not do without the higher end extras which more expensive gyms and university gyms offer than maybe you should look for an alternative. -

When I first joined this gym a few months ago, I was criticized by my peers for joining a gym without shower facilities, a pool, or recreational courts. Truth be told, I joined this gym for one reason, to come here work out and go straight home, and not to be bombarded by friends at the local Goodlife or Extreme. The comp ad of Snap is the hours of operation, its 24/7 - 365 days a year. The only time you won't find anyone in there is during a Tsunami.
At my Major Mackenzie/Leslie location, I don't ever have to wait for a machine or worry about the gym being crowded. Snap boasts proprietary machines and a very helpful staff. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an "in and out" type of gym facility. Big-ups to Snap Fitness, hit them up for a free week.

My buddy Devan referred me to this gym last March, and since then I've been converted. Prior to then I had held membership at Good Life, Premiere Fitness and Extreme Fitness. My favourite part of my workout was the post workout sauna time.
Snap doesn't have a sauna. In fact they don't even have showers. I was truly surprised to find out that some smaller locations don't even have locker rooms! Okay that may have been a one-off as all other locations I've been to have had a locker room. My point is that Snap is a no frills gym and I'm not missing the sauna or showers one bit.
At one point I was in there 5-6 days a week. These days time is tight so its more like 3 times a week. Which location? Richmond Hill, Markham and Vaughn. I visit all of them - though right now my primary location is in Richmond Hill. There's a new one opening in the near future in Markham too, 3.5 minutes from my house. Needless to say I'm stoked. A plus with Snap membership is you can visit any location, anytime. The 24/7 x 365 days is a HUGE benefit for me. My schedule is frantic on most days and so my workouts are usually at odd times. I used to work around my gym's hours, and now my gym's hours work around me. Like I said, HUGE benefit for me. Believe it or not, I've been in at 4am and there were still people there.
The machines are all brand new and vary by location, but overall I'm impressed. Much better than what I had seen at Premiere and Extreme. Not to mention there are no pre-authorized scams taking place with Snap - which was always a notorious downside of gym memberships that many of us have experienced.
Would I return? You can count on it. At least 3 times a week, at any hour of the day or night.
