I was there for a few hours one day as my dad had a biz meeting in the early hours one morning and had a great breakfast and keep eating as much as I want

    The good:
-BBQ is a rarity in London so any BBQ is an improvement
-A cool assortment of sauces based on regions of the U.S., my favourites are Texas and Detroit Rock City
-Daily specials that increase value, including any pint (even kronenbourg, stella) for $3.50 on Thursdays
-Great brownie + ice cream dessert with a bit of bacon on it (though the bacon could be better utilized)

    The bad:
-They try to do a lot, besides the basics of pulled pork, beef brisket, ribs, etc, they also have fried gator, catfish, meatloaf, and fried chicken (to name a few) and the problem with that is that the restaurant feels like a jack of all trades and master of none. The pulled pork is a bit dry and underseasoned, the gator was extremely salty, the jambalaya was mediocre, the cornbread is hit or miss (dry at times), and the brisket was average.

    Overall impression:
-A decent place, nothing spectacular that will blow you away and depending on what you order (I'd avoid the cajun items), nothing too disappointing.

Good BBQ was always hard to find in London. Non-existent, actually. This place makes a good effort. A friend & I went in Sept 2010 and ordered the BBQ for 2 with a starter of pulled pork nachos and a pitcher of sangria. Oh, and a side of mac & cheese. We were in it to win it. It was a monstrous plate of food. I was very excited to try everything as BBQ eatin' is a rare thing for this yelper. First problem - cold mac. Got a replacement quick enough, but it didn't fix the greasy bland taste of the dish. Second issue was they don't sauce the pulled pork! That's a little weird. Instead, you're given a choice of 4 sauces on the table for all your meat. That works good for the ribs, but to me pulled pork needs to be cooked and smothered in sauce. I'm not a huge rib fan, so my opinion of those (eh..seemed too tough) should be taken with a side of sauce. The rest of the meal (fried chicken, corn muffins, coleslaw, potato wedges) was alright.

Atmosphere is rustic bar. Tables are spread out with a nice upper loft type area. But another issue we had was being seated under a ceiling fan under a light source. Think flickering strobe light. We thought we were being interrogated! Our waitress was apologetic but didn't offer to move us and perhaps we should've insisted. Live music started up near the end of our meal  and while it was good (and muffled by us being upstairs), I was bothered by having to shout at my friend. I am very annoyed by live music in restaurants, apparently.

With a generously packed Styrofoam container, we left stuffed but only mildly satisfied with this BBQ joint.
