I cannot say enough awesome things about this place - both the products and the owners. I first came here in the mid 90s, a tomboy completely new to the world of heels. "Just wear your shoes while you do housework, and you'll get used to them in no time!" was their advice to me. It worked, and I've been coming back to get a pair or two of shoes every year since. (Usually I go to the store with one specific shoe in mind, and bring enough money for a splurge purchase, because I know I cannot resist the call of the heels.... There's always some new design that catches my eye!)
Almost every pair of shoes I've bought has been custom made for my narrow feet. I love that the owners completely understand that stilettos are uncomfortable enough as it is -- no reason to wear ill-fitting shoes and risk injury. It feels like a luxury to have custom made shoes, and the PRICE! So inexpensive!
I also appreciate that their main manufacturer is located in the USA, and the owners are committed to sourcing as many products as possible from the US.
I was all set to write a 5-star review, and then something happened to make me wish I could rate this place 6 stars! The manufacturer recently messed something up in my order, and because I had procrastinated, there wasn't time enough to get a new pair made in time for Halloween. Without going into all the details, let me just say that Gary went above and beyond to deliver wearable shoes for my favorite holiday of the year. It is no joke that they take care of their customers. I absolutely love this place! -

Ladies (and gents who like to dress up like ladies!) I beseech you, I implore you, I beg you, please patronize and support Skyscraper Heels! It's an amazing small business and from what the owner's told me when I was there last month, the economy has hit them pretty hard.
First and foremost, the owners are the nicest people I have ever met. They love to talk to their customers, to find out who they are and what they need. And they certainly love all different types of people with all different sorts of lifestyles (I heard, like another reviewer did, about Greg's alter- ego Amanda). They want you to find the best shoes for you and will help you find one that you can walk in at least semi comfortably.
Another reason you should go here: I'd say between 80-90% of their shoes are made in the good ole US of A, hand crafted in California. This allows them to make custom shoes: half sizes, large sizes, custom colors, etc. This is also why their shoes are a bit more expensive than ones you'll find at Sunny's or another cheap stripper shoe store; most of those shoes are made in China. So you can count on getting sweatshop free shoes! Ethics are always a plus!
They also sell custom corsets. You only live once and life is too short to not splurge on a well made corset that will make you look HOT!
This place is too wonderful to go out of business and let's face it, we ALL need at least one corset and at least one pair of stripper shoes (it's a fact and it's really not up for discussion). So go here and spend a little more money. Here's just a bit of incentive to do good: If you pay cash, they don't charge sales tax! So please, skip the cheapo stripper stores and go to Skyscraper Heels before it's too late! -

I love this store. If you have a shoe fetish.....DO NOT SHOP HERE! You will have a major shoe attack and leave broke. Your feet and wallet will never be the same. Shoes come in every color, every fabric, and every height! If you can't find what you are looking for...guess what...they'll have them custom made for you!!! Ugh! Black heels, clear heels, wedges...the options are endless! I'm not going to even get into the boots! They have everything from size 4 1/2 up to size 16!!! Every time that I visit...I am made to feel at home...Gary is sweet, honest, and also a major shoe fanatic like myself. This is the place to buy super sexy drop dead gorgeous "F*ck me" shoes!
P.S. If you're looking for the original black seamed silk stockings...this is the place to buy them! -

Skyscraper Heels specializes in custom made women's shoes and boots! They create custom designed shoes to the specific taste and request of the buyers. They say they can create from just about any material, heel shape and height. Heels range from 3" to 8" and from sizes 5-17 (W and WW). They also carry ankle, knee and thigh high boots.
I actually went here for a different reason. I needed a corset and I heard this was the place to go. Diane, the owner (I think), explained about corset training and was very helpful. I had a fitting and ended up buying a pair of black patent leather stilettos too. Note that corset fitting are by appointment only.
They also carry a verity of full fashioned '50s style back seam hosiery, Cuban heel hosiery, garter belts, girdles, and waist cinchers. I was happy with my purchase and my husband had a very difficult time walking out of the store.
So, stop by or call (866) SKY-HEELS or (773) 477-8495. Either Diane or Gary will be happy to discuss your needs and make sure you walk out looking like a million bucks. They are open Monday from 11:00am - 5:00pm, Tuesday - Saturday from 11:00am - 8:00pm but closed on Sundays. -

Owner Gary Page is the High Priest of high-heels and sells oodles of custom-made shoes from some of the last shoe manufacturers still located in the US. You can also bring in fabric of your own and Gary will have the shoes made to order.
At Gary's prompting and because I couldn't say 'no' to such a nice fella', I tried on a pair of 3 3/4" open-toed mules, and I must say they were pretty darned comfortable! And that's coming from a gal who lives in sneakers, flip-flops, and Danskos! Apartenly it's all in the engineering!Listed in: Chicago Style

Need some custom shoes? Ones that sport your love for the Cubs or the White Sox? Dancing shoes? Street-walking shoes? Rainbow platforms? A corset fitted to you? Marabou slippers? Rhinestoned heels? Glittery, leopard platforms? Stripper heels? Ridiculous heels that are high as...dare-I-say...SKYSCRAPERS? You have found the place.
I stopped in here once, just to look around. I met Gary, who was VERY helpful. I was pleased to hear his "alter-ego" is the same name as me - Amanda!
They have tons of shoes in stock and can custom-make some heels for you. If you're an exotic dancer, this place is a MUST when you are in need of some new shoes. They carry a few popular brands, like Pleaser.
When I need some new heels (And what girl doesn't?!) I will make a trip on over here. -

Went in today for a corset fitting. This is a real treat for myself and I love it. Wore it home cause I dont want to take it off, my waist and hips look too good! : )
Diane was very helpful, we tried on several sizes. She educated me on how to put it on, take it off, and just how tight to get it so its snug but I dont pass out. Also bought a white feather boa. They have tons of gorgeous shoes.
Corset fitting is by appointment only but really worth it. -

The shoes here are amazing. I love everything they have, plus the fact that I can custom order American made shoes if I wanted to. I mean I wanna be a stripper to have a better excuse to buy more.
I also love that they sell real Voller's corsets and not that fake lingerie store crap. I love corset training, and it's great to have a shop in the city to instantly buy corsets.
Everyone there is so friendly too.

I love shoes, and I have always wanted to live out a stripper fantasy, but finding boots and thigh hi-s that fit my calves are hard. They have everything here and are willing to give you some time to look.
You can find everything wild to a similiar pair from Pretty Woman - you know those white ones. -

My name is Kristin and I am a stripper heels addict. This place is my downfall, my drug of choice.
I bought a pair of custom made, Chicago cubs heels that I have received about a bazillion compliments and questions on. They're made with Cubs fabric, and have a clear heel w/ the same fabric stuffed in them. I'm not kidding, every time I wear them during the summer, people of all creeds stop me on the street begging to know where I purchased them.
If you love high heels, then Gary is the man to see. -

but, FUNKY SHOES help better than any meds I know !!!
Platform MaryJanes, super high Boots, and of course Fetish shoes are a must. This store is well stocked with good quality items.
PLEASE LADIES AND GENTS, poor quality Fetish shoes= a trip to the hospital. Invest in your Fetish!!! Plus, for all beginner corset people, please learn the proper way to lace one up. Here they teach, go and have fun !!! Next stop....THE DUNGEON !!! -

This place was worth every bit of the hype surrounding it. My friend and I showed up on a Monday and it was closed but the owner was inside and opened up for us. He took his time with us and tried on many different sizes and styles until the perfect one was chosen. Perfect is the right word too. They are to die for!!! I love love love this place!

I feel a little funny about writing a review for this place, but was in there not too long ago with a young lady looking for a particular style of shoe. She was taken care of like a princess and the information the owner provided was amazing. The gentleman working there was like the encyclopedia/master of stripper heels. He knows everything about them and has suppliers who'll make almost anything for you custom. Worth a visit. And guys, take a girl there for a fun trip. If you can stand being in a women's (and tv/ts) shoe store for a half hour or more, your lady will thank you for it. They sell corsets and stockings there too, guys, so the punishment is not too bad.

If I could give this store 10 stars, I would.
A friend of mine and I went there yesterday looking for corsets. We had previously been shopping at a larger, more well-known store on Belmont (that will remain nameless....) where the girl working there had scoffed at even pulling a corset down from a high-up rack so that she and I could try it on. We got no help, snotty attitude and the feeling that we were putting this girl out by even walking into the store. So on our way out I asked her if she knew of any other shops that sold corsets nearby. She said "no" flatly, but then handed me the hot pink card for Skyscraper Heels...... and thank GOD she did.
My friend and I walked into the shop to find three ladies trying on shoes and howling with laugher. The store is quite small, so we felt a bit intimidated going in with five people already in the small space. But we braved the close quarters and couldn't tear our eyes away from the beautiful corsets on forms above the register. These were AMAZING compared to the crap we'd seen over at the other shop and we asked if we could try some on.
The shop owner was nothing short of incredible, tying us into corset after corset as we shopped and weighed the merits of one style over another. He saw that I was having a really hard time choosing between two styles and actually went into his stockroom to dig around for a corset that blended the two styles perfectly and which ended up being the perfect garment for me.
Gary will order you a corset according to your size, style, color and fabric specifications. And let me tell you ladies, these are SERIOUS corsets. They have steel boning, paneled construction with hook-and-eye closures in the front and lace-up backs. Gary is an expert getting you into and out of the garments and even taught me how to properly handle it to be sure that I'm not bending the metal or tying myself in knots.
I was happy to pay whatever markup there may have been on the garment for the amazing service we got at this store, but when I got home and I found my corset online I found that (with the euro to dollar conversion) the price was almost exactly the same. DO NOT BUY A CORSET ONLINE. Go to this shop, talk to Gary, and get yourself acquainted with the garment before you buy. Support this local business and have an amazing time in the process!
