This is the place where you can find so many lovely dresses that you will have difficulty trying everything on. I tried on more than 10, and loved 4 of them (that is a great turnout, considering most of time you can hardly find one piece).
I ended up buying 2 piece because they are simply irresistible.
Only downside: dresses are NOT cheap (most of them around $60), but they are definitely much more classy than Forever 21.
Ladies working there are very helpful and friendly, offering honest opinions. -

A friend of mine wanted to check this place out after our lunch date to see if she could grab a dress for a party she was attending. So, with our kids in tow, we went in and were quickly ignored by the staff.
They had some sort of "sale" on which was pretty much limited to 6 items in the whole store, of which it took us 10 minutes to be directed to by the sales girl who was busily eating her lunch on one of the benches (Oh, I'm sorry, was my wanting information on your merchandise interfering with whatever pretentious sushi roll you're trying to enjoy? So sorry).
The other sales girl was no better who was talking loudly in the phone to a friend about someone named "Becky" and how she was completely appalled that this guy was into her and blah blah blah. I know right?
Silly customer, wants to buy clothes that obviously won't fit them so I'll just ignore them completely...
So I let my kid break three of their sunglasses and put them back without them noticing.
Yep. Yep I did. -

I am completely going against the other reviews here, but I have to say that I find this store rather ridiculous. I walk past it frequently on my way doing other errands and every time I walk in, I am never acknowledged and the clothes aren't made for people who weigh more than 105 pounds.
I went in this past Saturday and did one and a half rounds through the entire store while the three sales representatives chatted at the cash about why it is better to live closer to the city-centre because it makes getting home easier when you are inebriated. I would have offered my advice on the subject, but they didn't notice I was in the store.
I even found three items that I wanted to try on, and walking through the store carrying them still didn't make a difference. I was forced to interrupt to ask if someone could help me.
As for the clothes, maybe I am old, but I don't understand why not only everything 1980's has returned, but it is all appearing shrunken (everything was baggy back then) in stores where they charge silly prices. A lot of their tops are sheer (so you have to buy something else to go underneath), tassled (actually, maybe not so bad), cropped and sparkley. Old and crabby I may appear to be, but I just don't see why I should be paying my hard earned money to be ignored and not find anything that looks decent. And why is it called Skirt, if there are barely any there?
I went to Trove right after and had an extremely pleasant and friendly experience. -

New boutique clothing store in the Annex. Very similar to the "Risque" boutique a few doors down. I'm just happy to see more clothing stores opening in the Annex, we certainly were not in need of another sushi joint.
Skirt had a large selection of jewelry that was unique and very reasonably priced. A lot of it looked handmade, but I could be wrong.
Besides jewelry, they had a decent selection of women's clothing. Lots of floral prints, trendy dresses and girly skirts.
The interior was revamped quite nicely and they have proper change rooms in the back.
I'm not 100% sure but I think they are located in the old "Secrets from your Sister" shop that moved further west on Bloor last year.
