Why go here when there is such good Chinese food in this city. Lucky star next door is better. They do have cheap lunch specials with rather large portions but you get what you pay for quality wise. Be careful not to leave your credit card bill on the table it has your full credit card number exposed.

Where to start. There's been a longtime suspicion in the Kerrisdale/Dunbar area about the safety and cleanliness of the food at Simon's Kitchen. One day I decided to dine in and see for myself. The service was polite and immediate, which I liked. I ordered the lunch special, but stated I was vegetarian and would that be a problem? I was assured not.
When my stir-fry came, there was (grey looking) chicken on it. I politely sent it back and was impressed with how quickly she came back with my "new" order. Nope! She'd simply plucked the chicken out of the 1st order. Very haphazardly as I found several pieces nestled under the overcooked, dry rice. Needless to say, I shan't be returning to dear old Simon's anytime soon.Listed in: stay away
