If you're looking for cards or writing stuff this place is great! They have a wild selection of very sexy cards including fetish scenes.

I decided to check this store out on the way to Zulu Records, which I hadn't been in a long time. I remember going to this store back in the day and it was the most awesome kitch store, however, they seemed to be leaning more toward greeting cards. There are some cool kitch stuff, however, was internally disappointed in the change.  If I need that awesome unique greeting card, I will go back, even though lately I've been making my own or crafters markets for cards.

I walked for 25 minutes from my apartment near Alma and Broadway to buy a single card at Signed, Sealed, Delivered on 4th Avenue this morning. I returned home, a smile on my face, and proclaimed to my roommate (with an inordinate amount of pride) "I found the perfect card for my grandma's birthday!". He responded by explaining that grandmas like everything and anything sent by grandchildren, and that *his* grandma would be happy if he sent her a take-out menu, let alone the perfect birthday card.

After chuckling over this sad reality, I quickly realised that I patronize Sign, Sealed, Delivered every time I send a card. I will go out of the way to visit this store, in order to avoid purchasing an average card at a book or drug store. Unlike Mercedes G, I find that the store's crude card selection is unnecessarily comprehensive. There are two things that really set Signed, Sealed, Delivered apart from other card/stationary shops.

First, the section of the store closest to the door always contains cards for the appropriate occasion (e.g. Mother's Day, Easter, Sexual and Reproductive Health Awareness Day...that's February 12th for those of you who do not have it marked on the calendar). Second, the store has such a diverse and large selection that you are always able to find something that meets most, if not all, of your needs. From hand-made-paper cards to photographic cards to furry cards, this is definitely the place to go on the West Side.

It has occurred to me that I gravitate towards any store that contains within it, paper and writing instruments of any kind. Be it my passion for the written word or an excuse to peruse the dirty yet hilarious card section. Whichever, Signed, Sealed, Delivered garners my attentions with a phenomenal selection of cards for EVERY occasion, should you be one of those people that likes to give cards for no reason just the same as you do for a GOOD reason....yes, that's me. Besides the plethora of cards, SSD has beautiful Museum of Modern Art ornaments, wrapping paper, including a wrapping station where someone qualified will make your gift look purdy, journals, guest books, notebooks, cute toys, scrapbooks, helium balloons, photo albums, photo frames, handmade paper, tissue paper in a zillion colours and HIGH-lariously offensive magnets! Offensive knickknacks are fab, almost as great as 'for no good reason' cards!

4th Avenue is heavily populated with adorableness, and this little shop is no exception.  As you would guess by the name, Signed Sealed and Delivered is all about finding charming paper, cards and other such products that you can put in the mail (for those of you who still actually do that.)  They carry an attractive selection of cards, paper and envelopes, wrapping paper and ribbon along with such things as rubber stamps to make your old-fashioned letters picture perfect.
