This is the best authentic Mexican food in London. I haven't lived in London for awhile, so I'm not sure if there's anything new, but as of last year Si Senor was still tops. I would compare it to good Mexican in San Jose and believe me, that's saying something.
I lurve me the queso fundido and the camarones al diablo. The husband and I used to walk down on a hot summer night, sit on the patio, have a pitcher of sangria, some apps, and the deep fried ice cream. Those were good nights.
The staff is super accommodating for larger parties. I celebrated my birthday there one year and they didn't make me wear a stupid hat, but they did offer free tequila. After the tequila, who knows, I might have put on a stupid hat.
Thinking of Si Senor makes me a tad homesick... then I think of snow and it goes away. -

So we were looking for some good mexican food in London and came across this little place. I liked the patio for outdoor seating with a white picket fence around it. Should be good in summer! Anyway, since it was October and friggin' cold, we were seated inside. There's a small bar with some seating near it for those who need a quick bite (lunch crowd I suppose). There is also another larger seating area inside for the dinner crowd.
The food was pretty good. We tried a couple of their appetizers - chicken quesadilla and veg tostada. Both were really good. I also tried their Chicken Taquitos, which was good too. The ambience was really nice, the music typical mexican =P The hostess Maria was pretty cute as well. I'd go back again just to meet her if nothing else, she is a sweetheart :o) -

I'm not sure if the rumours of Si Senor's demise are true, but I'll always remember the times I had here. This is a quaint, cozy place to have some delightful Latin cuisine. The prices are quite reasonable and the staff is very polite and helpful. A great place to take the lady out on a first date.

It's difficult to understand why this place isn't much busier. The prices are reasonable, there are Tequila flights, the food is of much higher quality than other Mexican restaurants in London (I'm talking to you, Under the Volcano and you, El Ranchito) and the service is great. They will even suffer through their customers' miserable attempts at practicing Spanish. Any dish with their housemade longanisa sausage is tasty. The tacos are all small, so four or five per person provide the ideal opportunity to try different flavours. The focus is on Puerto Vallartan cuisine, so dishes that are ubiquitous at other Mexican restaurants may be missing from the menu, but that only means that new taste sensations await you. A warm, casual decor never fails to create sunny spirits, no matter the weather outside.
