The best Shoppers Drug Mart that I have ever shopped at. There are bigger ones, busier ones but this particular Shoppers Drug Marts has a great vibe going on.
Great selection, great customer service reps and cool Queen Street design, with a lofty 2nd floor, where the pharmacy and post office are.
I often see regulars hanging out by the post office or pharmacy just chilling and mingling with other regulars Staff members, most of which live in the community, often say hello acknowledging customers by their first names.
Locals that need essentials rely on this shoppers for a quick in and out experience as the store is easy to shop and well laid out.
Nice and relaxed shopping experience. A big box store with a real community feel to it. -

Worst store ever. The shelves are always messy, and empty! This location has serious issues keeping up with supply & demand, especially on sale items.
Employees are scarce, and when you do see one, they look perpetually confused.
Long, very slow moving checkout line. Good thing they have a large selection of celeb gossip mags to flip through, while you wait in line for 15 minutes. So frustrating!!! I avoid this location, when I can. -

This is one of the best Shoppers around. Since their 2nd floor addition and complete renovation, this location has EVERYTHING. Like really. Tons of groceries, tons of soda, and all the cosmetics and diapers you can handle.
Good pharmacy as well...very friendly and helpful. (also love that you can preorder your prescriptions for pickup online at any Shoppers).
This is my go-to place for cheap food...well, cheaper than Kitchen Table, that is. -

Want to see what your neighbourhood is really all about? Go to the drug store. That would be the acid test for the type of people that surround you. For example, the Shoppers Drug Mart near me (http://www.yelp.ca/biz...) is typically filled with new mothers, young trendies, and the usual pretty people. How I made the cut is beyond me. The other Shoppers that I go to, this one, is mere blocks away and has a way different story to tell.
Down in the grimier area of not-quite-Queen-West-but-not-Parkdale-either, it's surrounded by the Goth clubs, slice pizza places, and can have people around it that are best described as "colourful". When you peruse the aisles of this Shoppers, they're pretty much prepared for everything. This is an old-school Shoppers without the niceties of the large cosmetics area greeting you, but there is much more to be found. The aisles are narrow and shelves are packed, making the most of the space that they have available.
It's clean enough considering the neighbourhood, but the big draw for me is the post office at the back corner of the store. The folks that provide the mail service are behind one of the smallest such counters I've ever seen and despite any line ups that occur, they never get flustered and deal with everyone efficiently and kindly. And to be fair, they've had to deal with their fair share of colourful people. -

They even sell jewelry!
This place is excellent for anything you need late at night when every other convenience-type store has closed.
Extra star awarded for having every conceivable flavour of chips/crisps.
