It seems that most places in the Niagara Falls area have a very slow moving staff. This place is not any different. It takes a while for them to greet you, to take your order, to get your food, and so on and so on. Like I said, since that type of service seems to be pretty normal around that area, I decided to not knock off a star on rating.
This would have been a total five star for them if they didn't get our order wrong on top of the slow service. We specifically ordered the BBQ chicken pizza and when it was placed on our table we questioned if it was the Joe's pizza and not the BBQ. The man who gave us the pizza (who was not our waiter) assured us that it was in fact the BBQ chicken pizza. After a few bites and our mouths feeling spicy, we knew it was really the Joe's pizza. We notified our waiter and they offered to replace the pizza with the original one we ordered but since we were on a time crunch, we declined. They ended up letting us keep the pizza free of charge! It wasn't the best, but it also wasn't terrible. I also ordered the Blue Line drink, which was so good, I came home and bought the ingredients for myself to make! The french onion soup was not that good but my brother did enjoy his burger and fries. I would recommend Joe's, but be warned that your order may take a while! -

I don't have anything to seriously complain about nor do I have anything to rave about either.
Decent food, service was decent too. Booths have TVs in them with some sports game or another on them.
I actually didn't even feel inclined to order a drink here after looking at their drink specials menu. I usually have a hard time picking one but nothing on their menu even enticed me.
The waitress brought the check as soon as she came to clear the plates from our meal without asking if we wanted anything else. I would understand this if it was crowded or about to close but it was neither. -

I spend a lot of time raving about exception service I have gotten and wonderful places I have discovered, so when I give someplace only 1 star, you know I mean it.
On our first night of vacation, after being astounded by the falls, we were looking for someplace where we could sit outside, enjoy the gorgeous weather and have a relaxing dinner. After perusing a few of the local menus we settled on Shoeless Joe's because of their slightly better food selection and their nice patio.
We should have known we were in for a long night when we waited for more than 10 minutes for a hostess to even show up to seat us--and this is after my dad went to find her! When she got to us she pulled a waiter who was running by and asked if he could "take care of this" meaning us, and he told her he was too busy and walked off. There were exactly, and I mean exactly, 5 people in the restaurant not including us. They were not busy.
After we were seated we waited another 10-15 minutes before a waitress came by to take our drink orders. When we finally settled in with our drinks and placed our food order (after she told my husband that they were out of the first THREE things he attempted to order before settling on a burger that they actually had there at the place where they serve food off the menu they give you!!!!) we saw the couple behind us tell our waitress that they were leaving and would not be paying because their food was inedible--then holding up their charred black piece of what I can only assume was supposed to be some type of fish.
Yet and still, this was vacation so we thought--why not? We'll stay and give it a shot! An HOUR passes. By this time we are the only ones left in the place. We ask our waitress when we can expect our food since we are very hungry by this time and she tells us they didn't have any cooks on duty so they are working on it. What?!?
At this point it has gotten cold and the sun has long since set. We ask to move inside if the food is almost ready, and if not we are going to leave. She assures us it is on it's way. Another HOUR passes and finally our food comes. It is mediocre and my aunt doesn't get hers because--get this--they forgot to make it.
Through all of this no one there does anything to make us feel better, assure us, apologize or attempt to rectify the situation. We ask ourselves for a free round or something and she agrees, but then charges us anyway.
This was single handedly the worst dining experience I have ever had. And in such a prime tourist location I expected so much more. So, save yourself the time and stay away from Shoeless Joe's! -

After a stroll down by the waterfall, we decided to head back up the hill to our hotel. It's a short walk down, but incredibly long going back up especially when you are pushing a stroller on one of the hottest weeks of the summer. We get to the top and felt a blast of cold air coming from Shoeless Joe's, never mind the incredible waste of electricity, it sure did get our attention. All we really wanted was a nice place to rest after a long day in the sun and an ice cold drink. The hostess sees us and hands us a 15% off coupon. We were still full from the late breakfast buffet, but we decided to to get some drinks and appetizer. This place was decked out in soccer paraphernalia for the upcoming 2010 World Cup Final, and I loved the especially cute soccer goal urinal accessory. First time ever seeing something like that.
I really shouldn't rate this place just on the drinks and the appetizer but the ambiance really did have appeal. A place I wouldn't mind coming back to. -

My sister and I were walking around Niagara Falls looking for somewhere to have lunch. We happened past the Casino and spotted Shoeless Joe's. We paused to check out the menu outside and the bartender beckoned us inside. The place looked good, plus they had sports on big flat-screens so we were down.
The bartender turned out to be our server too; we took a booth at the back - nice big booths, high backs and a tv right inside.
The menu was pretty standard; lots of burgers. I had a cheeseburger with sweet potato fries and my sis tried the turkey burger.
Burgers were delicious. Molson Canadian on tap... Canadian beer tastes so much better in Canada! Amazing :-)
After we finished our lunch, we moved up to the bar and had a few more brews while watching the Detroit Red Wings win :-) Bartender was really friendly; even had a suggestion for somewhere to go that night.
I'll be back next trip to Niagara :-) -

seating is horrible. very tight fit. servers are average. the food is very good. coleslaw to die for. i had fish and chips. large portion. very fresh and crispy. fries hot and crispy. my friends shared the appetizer sampler. huge amount. 6 people could have ate it. not as pricey as most falls places.

Niagara Falls, ON
Nice atmosphere, great food. Love the bruschetta with balsamic glaze drizzled on. Prices are higher here than other locations but that's the way it is near the Falls. Still, reasonable for the good quality. Easily recommended.
