While the businesses along this section of Granville Street may be taking a hit due to the endless Canada Line construction plaguing much of the city right now, I imagine that much of the business coming into the Shoe Warehouse is from people like me who need a break from the pain of walking turtle-like amongst a veritable sea of people in a small corridor. Plus, I like shoes!
You can find good deals on men's, women's and children's footwear here in every style imaginable. The selection of responsible (ie: not dressy or with heels) and sneakers is massive and you can find sale prices on name brands that you won't find elsewhere. If you are looking for uber-trendy styles in prices you can swallow, this is also a great shop to head into. The stock changes constantly which is both good and bad, seeing as there is also a constant mess of boxes that you have to dodge when walking through here.
There might not be much room but if you're in need of something basic and/or reasonably priced, the Shoe Warehouse is a good option. -

*sigh....this is where shoes go to die....when no other store can sell them...and no consumer really wants them...they go to Shoe Warehouse....and die a slow painful death...
I stopped in the other day just to see what they had to offer...these day I'm economically conscious and I though maybe they might have some good cheap deals....well...I got the cheap part right....yuck....they have shoes I haven't seen for like 12 years ago when I worked in an Aldo...I didn't even know they sold huge wedge shoes for men any more....now unfortunately I do know...and I can't get the image out of my mind...
I was never even greeted by any staff...I don't think I even saw any...I am pretty sure they were hiding so as to not be seen working around such hideous footwear...it gives me the willys just thinking about being there....Listed in: Just Skip It

This location of the Warehouse chain is narrow, cramped and busy. Which makes shopping for shoes stressful with a lot of "excuse me's," and "pardon me's," required to run the gauntlet from the front to back of the shop as you squeeze past other bargain hunters.
And due to the busy nature, the shop gets quickly picked-over and those with average foot sizes (7-9) might find that all the "cute" picks are only available in bookend sizes. I must say, I find the Rinaldi brand they carry to be quite comfortable, but the styles Rinaldi makes are pretty hit-and-miss.
And men should note that the selection over size 10 or 11 is pretty much non-existent. -

There's a frequent deal here at the Shoe Warehouse -- $60 for two pairs. Sure, it seems like a great deal at the time, but that's only until your synthetic leather shoes give you the world's worst blisters and the sling back breaks within two weeks.
Then (and I'm telling you from experience) you just feel like a dolt who wasted $60 on two horrid pairs of shoes that'll you'll be putting in the bin to give to charity within a month.
The selection here is less than fantastic. After finding a pair of shoes I liked I had to try really hard to find a nice second pair. Shopping isn't suppose to be difficult -- and especially not shoe shopping!
While the price is good here, the value is terrible.
