Come after 7:30 or before! Sashimi was very fresh. Had the chicken teriyaki sashimi bento box which was good. Strange salty sauce on the rice? Overall not bad nice atmosphere.

Awful food and service.
I have been in the restaurant and not been impressed, and I have ordered take out and not been impressed.
Both times the seaweed was soggy and stringy, the rice was mushy and too sweet and overall there was too much rice on the rolls. The tempura shrimp was soggy and old. Disgusting. One plus: the wild salmon sashimi was fresh. But both times it was poorly cut and I ended up chewing salmon bones.
When I ordered take out, I ended up phoning the restaurant to mention that the quality was poor. The person who took my call told me to call back in a few hours so I could speak to the Manager. I waited and called back. No Manager. She said to call back in another hour. So I waited again and called back. The store was closed.
Talk about a complete disregard for quality of food and customer service. I don't understand how they are still in business. -

Just a heads up: This place is Chinese. Unfortunately, I didn't know that before I stepped in.
Prices are pretty cheap. I got the chirashi and the bf got the tempura bento. The rice in his bento was covered in some kind of creamy and tart sauce. Very unusual -- I had never seen anything like it. The breading on the tempura was a little thick. My chirashi had fresh fish (except for the hamachi, which was so-so) and it also came with some kind of baby octopus. Isn't that Chinese.. or Korean? I don't think it's Japanese.
Something else that was weird was the waitress asking us how much change we wanted back. I found that kind of rude.
No "thank you" when we left either. -

You could not get better food than we had today in a very comfortable surrounding but the service was too slow to support any wish to return. Life is just too short to see it wasted while waiting for food no matter how good. While we were waitng at least two customers gave up and left so we are not the only ones who will not return.

Raw Oysters and Gyoza; you cannot go wrong.
A nice, clean restaurant with good service and tasty Japanese food. Swung by Shiki Sushi for lunch last week and sat down to a meal that totally hit the spot. I only had 30 minutes for lunch and the staff was very accommodating and served my lunch quickly, but did not sacrifice service or quality.
Good restaurant and I would come back for sure. -

Pro: Very nice room. Adequate sushi, good tempura. One of the waitresses was quite cute and the prices were surprisingly good for Victoria.
Con: Hey, how about bringing us our bloody bill? Like today ok? Oh, how about processing our credit card payment correctly? You know how the CC machine times out if you don't complete the transaction? Yeah, don't let that happen in front of me! FFS! Learn how to get your customers out of your restaurant when they want to leave. -

Had two very disappointing experiences in a row now, in one instance having to wait over an extra hour past the promised time for our takeout order. We showed up 10 minutes past when our fairly large order was supposed to be ready and we were asked to "go somewhere and have a coffee". We did, took our time, came back, sat and waited inside for another 40+ minutes. No freebies, no big sorrys, no snacks while we sat there eternally. awful.

Not that long ago, my friend and I ventured downtown for a feast of sushi, only to find Shiki was gone and in it's place a totally different genre of food was set to open. Totally upset, but on Sunday when the same friend and I were cruising kiddie corner from it's former locale we found Shiki has relocated. The new premises is bright, open and ultra modern. Aside from the scent of newly painted decor our meal was outstanding. The menu has changed a little, but they still have my favorite, the Green Dragon Roll.

I love Shiki Sushi, my friend and I always go here and it's good food and not very expensive, also the service is usually very good. The place is kind of outdated looking and a little bit old, but it's still clean.

Food was not of very high quality. My date's sashimi was frozen in the middle. I had the beef teriyaki bento box. The beef was overcooked and chewy. There was steak sauce on the rice which was nice, but it was very salty. The bento box does not come with tempura or roles. Had some roles on the side, and they were good. But overall, for the quality of the food, the meal was overpriced.
