Review from Lisa Marie M.
Vancouver, BC
Quiet, clean, with beautiful water fountains and lit up trees in the front.
It has 2 towers, a residential tower, on site ATM, and cold beer and wine store.
Located steps away from Robson Street, Granville Street & Davie street. This puts you right in the middle of Downtown Vancouver's entertainment district, perfect for shopping, dining, and nightlife.
Rooms are a good size, beds super comfy.
My only complaint was that the last time I stayed, that the chair in the room looked like it had been used for some wild sex, as it was covered in dry white crusty matter, that suspiciously looked like .....
Anyway, the girl at the front desk offered to change rooms, but I preferred the original one. All in all, great value for the money! -

Vancouver, BC
A pretty underwhelming property, given the location and commanding exterior presence. Rooms--even my King suite--are tiny, so I can't hold out hope that a renovation or refreshing will help much. The bones of the place will always be awkwardly shaped and flanked by narrow hallways. Given the divided towers (I was in the South tower), the hotel quickly looses the feeling of a hotel--the big lobbies, amenities, the bustle of bell hops, restaurants, bars, and sporty types milling about to the fitness centre. I saw none of that, actually.
If you're looking for a Starwood Preferred Guest property in Vancouver, I can't argue with the price--but a savvy shopper can find similar deals at the posher and more centrally located Westin Grand across from the Central Library. -
Review from Monica E.
Here for a conference, so I got the group rate. But, to be honest, I would not have paid the full price. The hotel, yes, is nice and right in the middle of the action: Near the epicenter of downtown and the gay district, surrounded by the full range of restaurants, boasts free music on select nights, has a wine bar and a dining room, a 24-hour cafe, a lap pool and attentive room service.
But there were a couple of glaring concerns. First, every time the shower curtain got wet, there arrived the strong stench that it may have mold on it. Granted, this is likely an isolated event, and when after removing the curtain there has not been a problem. Nonetheless, it was concerning.
Also, the room service prices are quite steep for what you are getting. I much preferred getting out of the hotel anyway, finding more reasonable selections even within one block of the hotel.
And the staff, except the concierge, interestingly, tended to be quite curt.
Then there is the pool. The hotel has a strange configuration. To get to the pool, you have to cross some of the conference rooms, which can be slightly embarrassing as you are getting to and from the pool in your robe or wet suit. And, bummer -- the sauna was out of order (as of 04/15/12), though there is an infrared sauna that you can rent, but for a cost.
But the views are very, very nice.
Free Wi-Fi and free printing services for guest is a tremendous plus!
The bed? Amazingly comfortable!
The grounds are lovely.
And, again, the location is simply perfect. -
Review from Lulu T.
Perfect downtown location. Within walking distance to a number of shops and restaurants.
The rooms are clean and well maintained.
The staff are friendly but at times not very helpful. For example, my friend's room was located in the North tower which can be accessed across the courtyard or through the covered atrium cross walk. During a rainy evening, you would think the front desk staff would direct my friends to the atrium crosswalk, right?! NOPE, they were directed to go outside and walk across the courtyard in the rain! -

Good downtown location, nice rooms, amenities. It's an easy walk to many downtown restaurants and shopping. Good room service

I stay here regularly and actually do complete the customer surveys when they are emailed to me after my stay. I've stopped completing them now since they must never read them because to date they have never contacted me about the service comments or my experiences at their hotel. What is even worse is I'm a Platinum member (SPG) and I guess doesn't mean very much in their organization any more.
in fact this is likely the worst Sheraton Hotel I've every stayed at in many years. I dread having to go to Vancouver only because of where I have to stay. (LOVE the city of Vancouver)
I've had a number of bad experiences and each time advise the staff as I'm checking out and/ or during the stay. They do nothing about it. From the smoke alarms going off as your in the shower (their response is leave the bathroom door open, and they won't go off) ?? to the rooms having weird inconsistencies - no phone by the bed, no desk (where the hell are your suppose to work), to no reading lamp on the night table and even a room, that did not have a night table, to broken hairdryers, broken irons, and glass in the bathroom floor.
The only reason I stay here is I have to - as it is the only hotel in Vancouver our company uses - this certainly doesn't help with the frustration of the stay.
The only good part of the hotel is the services staff at valet and the front desk. Other than that the hotel pretty much sucks.
The restaurant is in the other building and I've only had one meal there and it was a very very over priced (breakfast). I've ordered room services on a couple occasions and the meal was okay and afterwards regretted that I didn't go to a restaurant down the street.
As for their Club Lounge is not comfortable at all - squeaky laminate flooring, bistro tables and chairs and believe me there is no lounging going on in this small room. The whole experience is terrible. -
Review from Steven H.
Stayed here twice in July 2011 on Starwood's cash-and-points deal. This is a really nice hotel, a pleasant surprise even. It is big, yes, but doesn't have that anonymous convention center hotel feel to it. Lots of honey-colored wood everywhere, lots of glass (the rooms all have a literal wall of windows - the city views are amazing).
Check-in was fast, friendly and efficient and the concierges all get an A for effort (if not knowledge of their city).
Their beds are super, super comfortable, maybe even better than Westin's. Bathroom was very clean, although the ceiling paint was peeling a bit, indicating a water leak somewhere. The tower in which I stayed is shaped like an ellipse, so the hallways and rooms have an interesting curve to them. The FREE wi-fi worked very well on all my devices.
The spa is quite modern and soothing. Had a great massage doing the last day of my stay.
Location is very central - you can walk to everything. Just skip the coffee place around the corner, it was dreadful.
A reasonably-priced, modern and pleasant hotel all in all. Definitely recommended! -
Review from Gev M.
Stayed here over Labor Day weekend 2011.
Decently priced hotel in a fantastic downtown Vancouver location! It is walking distance to downtown shopping, Stanley Park, and also to Davie Street bars/clubs (hooray for bright pink bus terminals!) Rooms are comfortable and clean, hotel offers free use of computers in case you cannot access WiFi, staff is helpful (except the short robot front desk lady), and the gym/pool/sauna area is free to enjoy. Some minor cons: pool area gets extremely crowded; multiple building setup is kind of awkward, gym and pool are accessed from outside the physical building, and no "smoking stations" nearby (I know I should quit). Overall, great hotel in a great location. Will be staying here again!
TIP: Search "offers" on the hotel website for deals. This can be done for all Starwood properties. E.g., I stayed 2 nights and received the third night for free! -
Review from Mike L.
Great value for the price we paid. This is definitely a great Starwood property and the coffee shop down in the LL was pretty good.

Review from Sarah O.
This place is over priced and poorly designed. It has a good location.. but come on, so is every other hotel in the heart of downtown. Why people choose to come here escapes me.
There are two towers (North and South) which do not connect, making it inconvenient to travel from one building to another since there are guests rooms in both and the front desk is only in the North tower. Then there is that random residential building situated smack in the middle of the two which makes it all the more ridiculous. It is extremely confusing to get around the whole facility and even the parking lot is a wild goose chase to get into. Also, $40 per night for parking? Are you kidding me? The computer area is extremely hidden up on some random area on the thrid floor and really poorly equipped- no paper, no pens, and had lots of trouble just connecting to the internet. What is that? Isn't this hotel supposed to cater to business men?
Then, walking around the giant (and useless) corridors in search of a washroom, I could not find one. When I finally did, it was locked. REALLY? A hotel with locked bathrooms for their guests to enjoy- just lovely. When I was calling to get connect to my friend in his hotel room, I was put on hold fo 15 minutes (not even exaggerating here) before even getting a hold of the front desk. Never have I experienced something like that, let alone at a 4 star hotel that insists on charging 200-something dollars per night. Sure the rooms were decent and clean but was it anything spectacular? Please. Let's just stop here.
I feel a little embarassed for you Sheraton. -
Review from Ann F.
Despite the bizarre two-tower design, which you can read about in other reviews, the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre was ideal for our two-night stay in Vancouver after a cruise from Alaska. We are big on walking, and despite the fact that it was uphill most of the way and we were carrying a significant amount of luggage, the walk up from the cruise ship port was no problem. We arrived very early and there was not yet a room available, but we were greeted very warmly by the bellhop; he went above and beyond by really trying to get a sense of what type of people we were, what our traveling style is, so that he could give us recommendations off of the traditional tourist path. He even offered to loan us his Lonely Planet guide for the day!
Pros:
-Exceptionally luxurious and comfortable bed
-Unique room layout (due to curved building) with floor to ceiling windows on one whole side of the room.
-Free, fast wi-fi!
-Convenient central location - easy walking distance to Robson, Granville, and the Gaslight District, and, for the fit/young, it's an easy walk to pretty much anywhere within city center Vancouver you would want to go, including Stanley Park.
-Fun modern decor in both lobby and the rooms
-Very clean
-Lovely views of the city
Cons:
-You have to go outside to get into the fitness center/pool/hot tub/sauna. Love that there's a sauna, but it's really inconvenient and awkward to walk there, especially if you're in a robe! Also, the pool was really crowded and loud, because it's utilized by residents and other community members as well as the hotel guests.\
-Boarding pass printer in the lobby was out of order.
-The business center (what Sheraton calls "The Link @ Sheraton" these days) was impossible to find - it's in this strange no-man's land between the two towers, in a place where no one seems to go except the occasional conference attendee. There was no signage, so I had no idea if I was even walking in the right direction. Neither of the two computers were working properly once I got there, and there didn't seem to be a printer.
-Seemed a bit short-staffed at the check-in desk.
Despite the downsides, this hotel was perfect for a short stay in Vancouver as the pros completed outweighed the cons. The exceptionally helpful and friendly staff gave us a wonderful impression of the general friendliness of the city, and the beautiful views, floor-to-ceiling windows, comfortable bedding and modern, clean decor made this hotel feel quite luxurious. They have live music in the lobby a couple nights a week, but we didn't check it out. Other folks we ran into said that it was pretty good.
When leaving, we walked to the City Centre subway station and took the subway to the airport. It could not have been easier! If you don't mind walking to the station with your luggage, I highly recommend taking public transit.Listed in: 36 hours in Vancouver

Review from Maria J.
Before purchasing my room here, I researched reviews. Sheraton ranked pretty bad, so I was headstrong on NOT staying here. I purchased the hotwire rate where you don't know until after you pay. At first I was pissed, but said to myself "everyone has different experiences"!!
The General Manager was nice to enough to change my Hotwire dates to accommodate my new dates to travel. I GREATLY APPRECIATED this!!!!!
Me and my daughter arrived 8/16, we were greated by Nancy. She had no personality or customer service skills to make you feel welcomed. Every detail with, nancy was cut-throat dry, no smiling.. NOTHING!!!! To top off being roasted by, Nancy, she assigned us to a room on the 7th floor, over looking a roof. What the hell is her problem, I thought?? I was tempted to walk back downstairs to request a new room, but figured she will muff our room up with no view... A little later I spotted another gal, so I figured it was now or never. She was very nice, and assigned us to 1955.
The room was a nice size for a standard and the bed was awesome. Usually when you stay @ an hotel in a standard room, they make sure that room is nothing but standard. The bathroom was a decent size...
My only complaints at the hotel is parking. If you're spending $158 per night and up, why the hell do you have to pay $41 for self park and $45 valet? I can only imagine how much dough people pay for the penthouse suites, and then to be nickled and dimed. I almost stayed at Sutton Place, because that hotel offered free parking voucher/food credit...
The gym was nice, except it was NOT a gym. More like a weight room. No treadmill or cardio equipment. The weight rooms were very small.
I'd probably stay here again if Nancy has an attitude adjustment and I didn't have to pay for parking.. These 2 details caused the Sheraton to score a 3 star rating, instead of 4.
The cafe was great. My mocha was one of the best and my bagels also. The bar was a great for a drink after walking around Vancouver all day.. I believe the problem is, Vancouver is not the same as it use to be, parking is an arm and leg, so where does that leave you to park?? At your hotel... I'd say to self-park, the walk is not long.. You walk to the elevator and you're in the lobby... -

5 stars if you take price into consideration, it's value.
I'm no fan of the sheraton's in general, but we were very pleasantly surprised by this one. We treated ourselves to the fairmont for half our trip and rolled the dice for the other half with priceline. When we landed the sheraton I was bummed but when we arrived we were thrilled. A great view, a very comfortable bed, soft sheets, great location.
We were looking to sleep well and be close to everything and they delivered with excellence. If you are looking for a pool, hot tub (which they do have but you have to walk 50ft outside the hotel) or lobby scene, you'll probably be disappointed. -
Review from Adam Q.
This place is fine for big international hotels. Newer, clean, and expensive. We got a great priceline deal (less $100) so it was a good deal but not really my kind of place.
As in most big cities and fancy hotels... parking was expensive. Also location was really central but nothing within a couple of blocks. -
Review from April M.
Stayed here just this past weekend with my boyfriend. We did the stay 2 nights and get the 3rd night free, and it was amazing! This is our second time staying at the Sheraton but in Seattle, and this one did not disappoint at all. We got upgraded to the 19th floor in the North Tower with floor to ceiling windows all throughout the room. Everything was nice, clean, and spacious. The views were to die for and the beds never let you down. I did not want to get out of bed most of the trip. The only reason why I got out of bed was to eat because the food at the hotel was super expensive. Well to be honest everything in Vancouver is expensive but the gas. All in all the service and room were excellent, just be prepared to pay around $45 dollars for parking, but when we got the bill they only charged us $33 a night. Yeah I know a big save....

Review from EM F.
Register for their membership program (for free), and they'll upgrade your room to one with a view. Mine was spectacular.
Truly, these people are gracious, attentive, warm and professional. I was here for the CASE District VIII conference, and we had a blast.
There are two towers. You have to go outside to get to the gym, but the gym is pretty decent.

Firstly, this review is only for a the banqueting department. I attended a two day conference here. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and coffee breaks. The lunches were delicious and the so was the food during the cocktail hour.

Review from Wayne H.
Quality modern hospitality in the heart of metropolitan Vancouver.
I've had the fortune of staying in a SPG room in the north tower; the evening view of the Robson strip is quite stunning.
It's worth noting that there are two front desks in the lobby - both are able to service check-ins but the main counter is the one on the side of the north tower. Entry into the parkade is accessible only via one-way street Hornby.
Their Sheraton Club lounge is probably one of the better ones I've seen among Sheraton properties in North America. There is also an abundance of HP touchscreen computers on the second floor just beyond the breezeways, great for a quick check of email or local maps before heading out.
I particularly appreciate the property's proximity to the retail action along Robson Street and the night life on Granville Street. It's also positioned near major road arteries so that major points of interest as Stanley Park, Gastown, Granville Island and Richmond are easily accessible by car.
At 10,000 SPG points or 4,000 points plus USD 60.00 per night, I'll definitely stay at the Wall Centre again on my next visit ; it's simply a no brainer. -
Review from Phoebe K.
My husband and I have never had been treated so badly in a hotel before. I know the woman at the front counter couldn't solve our problem (no king rooms left and our rate didn't guarantee one), but the way she talked to us was so dismissive and rude it honestly shocked me. I guess they run into this issue a lot, with people booking through Hotwire, but the answer isn't to ignore people's questions and instead keep repeating in a robotic voice, "Credit card please?" Really, it comes down to basic politeness. A word of welcome, a smile, a perfunctory apology, chit chat, an offer of a map or restaurant rec--any of these things would have made it okay. Instead we were coldly sent off to a horrible little room in the South Tower.
I want to at least end on a positive note so I'll say the hotel location was excellent, just a couple blocks from the entertainment district. Next time we'll stay somewhere else, obviously, but nearby. -
Review from Michelle B.
This isn't a hotel - it's a complex! A complicated complex. Multiple towers, elevated walkways, fountains, twinkle lights, a big ol' pool.
All of this is leading you to believe that the room you scored for cheap on Priceline is going to be swanky, right?
Wrong.
It's just a plain old hotel room. It's nice enough but nothing special besides the robe. The robe is special.Listed in: Vancouver Hotels

I stayed at the Sheraton on my second visit to Vancouver. NOT pleased at all. Their service was sub-par and they seemed quite reluctant to help. Furthermore the rooms were small~ my goodness even my own bedroom felt bigger than this place.
I did get a window but whoopi, I only got to see the other building. Everything that they had said on the website and over the phone didnt match up to what the reality of things were. And for some odd reason they didnt store my credit card on file so I got a loud knocking on my door at 7am telling me to sign this form and go downstairs to register my credit card. wtf?!
The only thing I can I liked about the place was that its downtown and that the beds were comfortable. Wont be seeing me here anymore ugh~ -

Vancouver, BC
My man's Xmas party last year was held here at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre Hotel and while at the time I thought they had done a decent job of entertaining over 500 people, after having a year to think about it, I have to say the job was less than stellar.
The conference/event room that the party was held in was positively massive, clearly it would have held much over 500 hundred party-goers. Good to know should you be holding the largest wedding in history anytime soon, or a major charity event. The sheer size of the room turned out to be a detriment when the entertainment took to the stage. A couple of comedians performing an improv routine could nearly not be heard because the acoustics of the space were not suited for such a show. It was a disappointment because they were actually pretty funny but it was very apparent that no one in the back of the room (the majority of the people) could hear a thing.
Everyone knows that the food is the most important part of any shindig and while the choices were many, the overall memorability and uniqueness of the cuisine was lacking. Plus (or, minus), the food became cold quite quickly, a major no-no when it comes to buffet food. The one bar was located outside of the main ballroom, forcing a separated area between the two spots and making it difficult to get a drink. As a venue, A-OK, as a hotel, I have heard better things....but not by much. -
Review from Brian L.
Definitely a 4 star hotel. Nice building, really nice staff (was stopped by a housekeeper asking me if everything was ok - this was 5 minutes after I just got into my room), comfortable linens/towels. The room was pretty big, plenty of elbow room. If you needed to shove 4 people in here you could quite easily (they just wouldn't have room to sleep on the bed, well, you could). I Pricelined it, so it made the cost more bearable. The tax on parking...NOT COOL (30%!). Otherwise, I'd stay here again.
One thing...the water didn't get really hot here...Maybe it was just my room? -
Review from Lisa N.
Grade: B-
The best part about Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre is its location. The hotel itself doesn't have anything that sets it apart from others. It is just situated in a very convenient location: walking distance to Robson St and Gastown for shopping/eating, driving distance to Stanley Park Chinatown and Richmond.
We were able to check in early (around 1pm), stayed in the North tower, double Queen. The room did not have any views, was small, was directly in front of the elevators, room and linens were clean, beds were comfy but everything was very plain. The staff were very nice and helpful, giving us recommendations of places to go. We felt safe walking around in this area, but we still paid close attention to our surroundings.
Sheraton gave us a nice military/government discount (from $221US/night to $169US/night). Definitely not a hotel I would pick for a romantic trip to Vancouver, but a nice place to stay if I just wanted a convenient, safe place that is centrally located. The hotel is more of a meeting place than a romantic or family getaway. But since we planned to explore the city and just needed a place to stay at night, we felt it was a good choice.
Overall, the hotel charges were pretty high (about $500US for two nights, after internet, parking and taxes). The levy tax on parking is ridiculous! Approximately 12% + 21% on $30 parking (thus approx. $41/day). The front desk guy said the extra tax was due to the Olympics.
We decided to go green (they had a sign in the room that if you chose to forgo housekeeping services that they would offer you $5 or 500 starwood points upon check-out); however, when we checked out, I didn't realize we had to bring the card with us. We were running late and didn't want to miss our ferry, so I didn't bother going back up to grab it. I would have given the hotel 4 stars had I had not left with this experience as my last. Not a big deal but still annoying.
Overall, the Sheraton is a reliable choice. Nothing stands out but it is centrally located. Loved that we could walk to the shops, restaurants, and movies. -
Review from Jason W.
Got lucky and booked this place on Hotwire. Perfect location to be within walking distance to many great restaurants, as well as the shopping on Robson. Concierge was also very helpful in giving us directions to the Sea to Sky highway and tricks to get around town quickly.

Vancouver, BC
Okay, mostly I'm a fan of the elevators. These could be the most efficient in the city, yet they're not so fast you get motion sickness from just traveling 10 floors.
I've experienced the Sheraton in a conference-type situation. There are quite a number of neat things: the mirrors that have a weather forecast on them, there's the gorgeous tiled courtyard, and... hmm -- did my list really end that quickly?
The staff here provide courteous service and the food is creative, although not superb. My salad I had one night arrived with some gungy lettuce mixed in with the greens although the dressing was nice. The grilled panini was not as good as the one I had more recently down the street at Wicked Café (and for half the price). The south-of-downtown location adds to the appeal with nice gardens in front and plenty of nearby restaurants. -

I stayed here for a conference and it was really the perfect venue. The ballrooms and conference rooms are a very generous size that allows for lots of people comfortably. And when the sliding doors are opened of the ballroom and the crowds spill into the lobby, it really feels like a grand experience.
The rooms are also pretty large. They mistakenly gave us a suite and sent the other 2 people that we were supposed to be sharing the room with to the actual 2 queen bed room. It was fantastic - there was 2 of us and a 2 bedroom suite type room! Loved it! -

The Sheraton Wall Centre is one of Vancouver's more renowned spots. As a venue, it is very versatile. It can hold conferences, events, weddings and meetings easily.
I attended a wedding reception here last year and they did a wonderful job. The ballroom was opulent without being gaudy. The staff was polite and did all they could do to make that day as wonderful and as stress-free possible. -
Review from Nathan N.
Friendly Staff, Pool, Great location, and comfortable beds. Can you ask for anything else? Oh, and the coolest thing, they have a mirror near the elevator that tells you what the weather is like outside.
The rooms are nice. Great beds, great views. The only bad part was the constant Ambulances arriving at the Hospital across the street. If you're a light sleeper, I'd suggest one on the other side of the Burrard Street. Now the parking was also tricky. If you didn't get a space on the top level, you'd have to go deep, down, down, down. It was a spiral maze and a crazy one at that. A lot of the spots were reserved, which is annoying. Not really sure what to say about that.
Didn't eat there, as the food seemed expensive, but plenty of close places nearby. Friendly staff and great rates from what I hear. I'll consider it next time I visit Vancouver. -
Review from Richard D.
Vancouver, BC
Many rooms of this hotel have awesome views of the mountains and skyline. Make sure you inquire about the view when you book a room.
It's centrally located on Burrard St., so you can easily walk north to Davie St., popular in the gay community, or south Robson St., a retail hub.
The Burrard St. skytrain isn't that far away, either.
You can get good Internet rates on the hotel Web site. I would say it's moderate if you can snag a decent rate online or through travel web sites. Otherwise, it can be pricey. -
Review from Gladys M.
My rating is actually an almost 4-star to be exact.
Our room was on the fifth floor and can definitely hear the noise from the street with the window closed. But I still love the room as the bed was really comfortable and very clean. We stayed for 7 nights for over $200/night. The room service was great. We were traveling with a baby and we get extra towels without having to request it. I left my diamond ring in the room and forgot about it and it's still there when I came back. (But don't try it!) So a quick run down of what the good and bad.
Good:
. The bed was very comfortable
. Our room was quite spacious and decor updated
. Our room service was great
. Hotel location is very convenient for work and shopping
. Love the long 20 feet windows even though the view was not great.
. The towels were clean and have no funky smell (I have super sensitive sense of smell)
. The A/C works quickly and quietly with the digital control panel
. The shower pressure was adequate
. Only hotel guests have card access to the elevators and assigned floor
. Have separate bin for recyclable items
. A few free Starbucks coffee packs and Tazo tea bags available in the room
Bad:
. Can hear the noise from the street in the morning
. No free internet access!!!! They charge $10.95 for 24-hour ethernet access. I used the free Wi-Fi access from Blenz Coffee downstairs.
. Parking was $25.00 a day and they mistakenly charged us for valet parking multiple times but removed them as we pointed it out.
. Old fashioned tube TV with hardly working remote control
. The bath robe was thin and overall disappointing
. No slippers
. No lining for trash cans (it might be a Vancouver thing as you have to pay for plastic bags ($0.05) at some grocery stores)
. No shower cap or shaver or tooth brush
. No free newspapers at the door in the morning
. Hotel breakfast was expensive and not great. -
Review from Kris A.
It was okay, nothing exciting. You had to walk all over the place and parking was totally inconvenient. The pool area was a disaster...only one teeny hot tub was working and the sauna was broken and it was kind of gross and dirty. Our room was decent, though again, not what I'd call nice, but we had a GREAT view. It was very small and cramped. There was a little bit of mildew action in the cracks in the shower - unappetizing but oh well. It is a very convenient location and we got our room for a decently low price for a Saturday. Service was non-existent.
Oh, we ordered drinks and cheesecake at the hotel bar late at night after going out, and the cheesecake was GROSS. Totally disgusting. I don't even know how one goes about ruining cheesecake. -
Review from Jennifer B.
I'm stunned by so many poor reviews! I stayed at this hotel in July and i was so thrilled with the hotel! We stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time!!
We checked in and were upgraded due to my friends Starwood points to the 33rd floor. Our room had an amazing view of Downtown Vancouver in the North Tower. The room was clean, a little on the small side but it was workable for the two of us. Plus, we weren't spending too much time in the room besides sleeping. The bathroom had wonderful mirrors that didn't fog up when you showered and near the elevators there were mirrors that had the weather forecast. Anytime we asked for help it was given gladly by the front desk, bell staff or housekeeping. Room service was quick and the food was really good. They also offered late night room service which came in handy. There's a Starbucks in the second lobby that is really convenient.
The hotel is in a lovely location; across the street is a beautiful church and the bus stops right there. We took the bus to the UBC which was a really nice ride. The sky train is about a 10 min walk as well as Robson St for shopping and Granville St for night life. Also a quick drive to Stanley Park. The bell staff or front desk staff was really good about giving directions and suggesting places to visit.
There are 2 reasons i didn't give the hotel 5 stars: first, the parking rate is really steep. I live close to San Francisco so i know parking is expensive but almost $60 a night is crazy. We were able to park our car in Metro town at a hotel we stayed at before going to the Sheraton for $8 a night. Well worth the 20 min skytrain ride to save over $160! They also charge for use of the fitness center... My friend wanted to work out one morning and walked all the way to the center (its in the other tower near the top i think) got there and found out you have to pay. She was pretty disappointed. We ended up using the pool instead.
Other than those two things this was one of the best hotels I've been to! -

I went to Vancouver with my mother to celebrate her birthday and could not have been more pleased with my stay here.
Amazing view, great staff, impeccably clean and spacious guestrooms/bathrooms, and beds that feel like you are sleeping on a cloud. I literally looked into how I could purchase that exact bed because I have never had better sleep in my life.
The location was great as well... a few blocks from Robson Street, quiet surroundings, easy walk to Granville Island ferry and just about everywhere else in Central Downtown Vancouver. And ahhhh yes, just steps from my beloved Japadog?!
The free Wi-Fi was a pleasant surprise, I only wish it had been available in the rooms instead of just the lobby.
The tower we stayed in (North Tower) had a gorgeous view of the mountains, water, and beautiful scenery of Vancouver.
I will without a doubt be returning. -

This is not a Sheraton; it is a Days Inn. Well, at least the beds are comfortable... We ordered room service and waited 40 minutes for a salad and fries. The valet cost more than I have ever paid anywhere and there was a dent in the car that was not there when we dropped it off. The staff seemed moderately friendly, but this is not a hotel I would recommend to anyone for any reason. Stay at the Westin Bayshore instead.

This hotel was a bit of a disappointment. When we checked in, the receptionist noted that we booked through Hotwire. Perhaps that is why she banished us to the South Tower, sending us to slosh our luggage through the rain without the offer of a porter. The room had a faint cigarette smell, the bathroom sink was cracked and the rattan chairs were worn. On the plus side the bed linens were wonderful and the bed was excellent. Overall we had a much better experience at the Pan Pacific. Even though it was booked through Priceline for less money they gave us a wonderful upgraded room with a fabulous view of the water. And their porter took our baggage to the cruise ship terminal.

My boyfriend and I can always rely on this Sheraton when we're visiting Vancouver for its great location, reasonable prices, and great rooms. When you're staying here, I would recommend staying at the newer tower--North Tower because the rooms are bigger (although less staff but if you need staff you can just take a quick walk to South).

Here is another reason I love being a member of SPG, all the wonderful hotel deals including this one. With partial points, one night only amounted to $60. This was my first time in Vancouver, thankfully the hotel was easy to find and on street parking was free over the weekend. The location is close to shops, cafes and movie theaters, definitely had a business/family feel but that didn't bother us much. The tower and conference complex is more complicated than a hamster cage but we made the most of the Starbucks in the lobby and spa downstairs. Loved the pool, loved the gym, loved the free upgrades.

Clean hotel, modern look, friendly staff..
I loved the location, less than a 5 min walk to Davie Street, Granville, Robson, etc.
I really cant think of anything bad to say about this hotel...
