Review from Zain K.
I believe this hotel was recently renovated, with the result that it is an excellent place to stay. I chose it because I got a really good rate from Priceline (under 40% of the posted walk-in rate), and because it was close to the Skytrain station for easy access to downtown Vancouver.
Pros: Very nice rooms, excellent fitness center, availability of internet terminals in lobby, and location near public transit and numerous Asian food options.
Cons: Charges for internet ($10/day) and parking ($16/day). -

3.5 stars. Could have been 4 stars except I was turned off by the ridiculous parking fee (see last paragraph), as mentioned by other reviewers.
Attended a conference here and have to say was impressed with the quality of the rooms and the catering staff. The conference rooms were well equipped with AV, well heated, modern and bright. Staff were friendly in directing patrons to various locations around the the hotel. Catering staff had iced water and glasses at each table, and the tea and coffee service was generous, complete with Starbucks coffee and Tazo teas and plenty of fruit as well as breakfast pastry choices. The bagged lunch had a decent sandwich, tasty pasta salad as well as a fruit and a cookie.
The only issue was with the $16 per day parking - which is pretty ridiculous as there is no readily available street parking for more than 2 hours at a time around downtown Richmond. Since the organizer would have paid a tidy sum in renting the hotel facilities, it would make sense to at least give conference attendees a partially discounted rate. -

on my next trip, i would not hesitate to stay here. I has a wonderful experience. the computers in the lobby were very helpful specially cause they have a printer on site. I was able to check in to the airport early and print my passes. The concierge was very helpful he gave us recommendations and they were all great. big roomy room, the bathroom is also very comfortable.
iT sucks you have to pay for wifi in the room. so i bummed it in the lobby to check my emails. -

The hotel was very nice and the staff was super friendly and helpful. They did a wonderful job of the reception for my brother-in-law's wedding.
However, their add-ons and incidentals to the room charge are RIDICULOUS. $10/day for internet. $17/day for parking. $4.50 for horrible Nestle bottled water. Not to mention their available cable stations were extremely limited, not even the full "basic" (up to channel 57 locally) which every other hotel I've ever stayed at has had.
We got an awesome room rate as part of a block of rooms for our wedding party but if we had had to pay their regular rate of plus parking and everything else we probably would have rated the hotel lower. -

came here for a dinner meeting.. venue is decent enough.. food wasn't very good however.. we had a sit down menu..
the rolls were cold and a bit stale
soup was OK but just lukewarm
the entree was a salmon and chicken combo.. both overcooked and dry
the cheesecake for dessert was decent however and was gobbled up
the table wine was 120 from chile.. both a sauvignon blanc and a merlot.. loved the white more -

3.5 stars.
This is a review of the meeting facilities only.
The hotel was renovated in 2009 so the hotel is very clean and bright. Great location near the airport. It's 1-2 blocks to Richmond Centre for shopping and to some of the best Chinese food anywhere! Also close to the hospital for anyone who may be staying there to visit someone - about a block away.
This is a good hotel for a meeting and I prefer this to the nearby Delta and Marriott. (There is also a Hilton and Hyatt nearby but I have not been there yet so no comments). Lots of parking on site and close access to transit. Food is OK and typical of most hotels. My only comment is that the menu is quite limited for groups - we were not allowed to have options; it had to be a set menu for the group. On the plus side, there's Starbucks on site in case you don't like your food :)
Service is average to above average and meeting spaces are nice.
From what I can tell from the lobby update, the rooms renos should make this quite a nice place to stay. Would be happy to come here again. -

This hotel is worth of staying. The room is spacious and clean and you can tell they have standard in keeping the area outmost for customers. I bid under http://priceline.com and got the room under $75/night. You can't go wrong with finding this type of hotel elsewhere.
The staffs are friendly and they have nice pool, lounge, and internet access at the lobby.
The bad part is the costly parking. it cost $18/day and you can't really find street parking around so it leave you no choice in paying.
Otherwise, it is very convenient to everywhere in Richmond and airport. There are lots of chinese restaurants and shops nearby. Driving distance would just be 5 minutes from the hotel. -

Good value for SPG cash + points reservations. I stayed in a deluxe king on 4 and was surprised by the noise--both from cars driving by outside as well as the heat/AC unit in the room. At the same rate I'd stay at the Westin Wall Centre instead, but this Sheraton is clean, comfy and close to YVR and is a good choice in the airport-area Starwood properties. If I didn't have a data plan on my phone I'd be more annoyed by the lack of free wifi in the rooms (apparently it's complimentary in the lobby).

Nice hotel. Convenient to most of Richmond and the airport. Parking can be a major pain if the weather is bad; it is self parking out in the lot. The restaurant, Harold's, has good food at reasonable prices and a couple of TVs to catch the game on.
