Review from Loubna B.
I need to remember that whenever I ask if I can get the cheeseburger rare and room service says "I'll check with the kitchen" then takes the rest of my order...it means the burger will come out well-done. Every time.
Rooms are modern and the shampoo and conditioner are top-notch. If you live on the road, you'll find the mall attached to the hotel very convenient. -
Review from Dee B.
When you're paying $169 (Canadian, or about $143 US) a night, you have certain expectations. That the furniture in your room won't be scratched and beat up, that the elevators will work, that you might have free internet access, that you won't have people from the street asking you for money in the hotel lobby. Unfortunately, all of these expectations were unmet. And I just love being kicked when you're already down -- on Canada Day (when pretty much everything in town is closed), we had breakfast in the hotel restaurant. I certainly didn't expect anything cheap or fabulous, but I also did not expect to be gauged $4 for a cup of tea.
If you're looking for a place to stay in Hamilton, I'd recommend the Staybridge Suites (just around the corner). I was in one of their rooms - some lucky friends of mine stayed there - and they were huge and gorgeous. -
Review from Scott C.
Probably one of the better hotels in town. Got a decent rate for their club level, which included concierge (bfast) access.
Clean and modern room. Friendly staff. Room service was a bit expensive, but I'm not use to Canadian hotels... Good cable channel selection. Pretty good bed with nice pillow and comforter.
The gym was small, but adequate: treadmill, elliptical, bike, weight machine.
