Review from Misti Y.
If it's not on Hotwire, we don't book it, so we ended up at this Sheraton on a Hotwire steal! When we pulled up, the lobby promised good things to come as it was clearly recently renovated, modern and clean.
Check in staff was beyond friendly and allowed us to check in early to all three of our rooms. Whenever I am allowed to check in early without any attitude, I am instantly a fan. The rooms are modern thanks to the recent update. As for the TV situation, they have Showtime plus a fairly decent selection of cable stations.
The super bonus: Complimentary breakfast buffet, and it's not continental! Hot eggs, sausage, bacon, french toast, potatoes- a full spread. The on-property restaurant offers fairly decent fare for lunch and dinner, but beware of the lurking men. I received a, "Hey Sweetheart..." twice while trying to enjoy my turkey burger in solitude.
The downsides: No free WiFi, and the elevators are slower than molasses. There was a frat formal staying on property, and they created a mild ruckus, but didn't truly affect the overall quality of my stay.
Overall, for the price and given the friendly staff, early check in and free full breakfast spread, it's a keeper. -

Ok, I am seriously confused about this hotel. The service and employees are fine, but the rooms and the decor of the entire hotel was horrible. It sits along the highway and I don't know about you... But hotels along the highway scream charge-by-the-hour motel to me. Only reason I stayed here is becauce it was a preferred hotel on my clients' list and was convenient to our meeting facility.
This Sheraton tried way too hard ... Or maybe not hard enough to get in touch with technology. Elevators are activated by key card, which most new hotels are doing now, but the system is old and very slow... So slow that the ancient elevator doors closed before the system recognized my card.
The rooms are ok but extremely small, especially the bathrooms. When opened, the bathroom door was only 2-3 inches from the toilet.
What really bothered me was when I found the hotel services book (see picture). When I first saw it, I thought housekeeping didn't do a good job and left someone's old pamphlet in the room. After flipping through the pages, I realized it was the hotel services book. Is the hotel that cheap that they couldn't afford to hire a professional printer to get the job done?
Oh and what is up with the ventilation system? My AC, though it worked, was so loud that it seemed like I was sleeping under subway tracks.
Recommended... to stay away. -

Seems to be a consultant heavy hotel.
Have only stayed in the executive suites, so not sure what the regular rooms are like. The executive suite has a living room w/ a large screen TV w/ a couch that turns into a pull out bed. The bedroom is attached via a closeable door, and the bedroom had 2 double beds. Not sure if this is the only layout. The bedroom is very spacious w/ a 2nd large screen and the bathroom is fairly spacious.
Lounge food is average or below, I wasn't too impressed.
Self parking lot entrance is kind of a pain to get to especially if you're on the wrong side of the street, but this isn't the hotel's fault, given all the one way streets in Dallas downtown. -

I'm perplexed with all of the poor reviews of this hotel? Wifey and I checked in, using my Starwood points, of course. Edgar was our Guest Services Rep, and was expeditious and friendly during our check-in. In fact, I had a minor problem with the wifi, and he was very polite, and rectified the issue immediately. When I go into my next business venture, Edgar is the type of guy I would want working for me.
Now after checking into our room, I was definitely satisfied with the decor, and overall comfort. I contemplated heading to the pool, as it was still a balmy 101 degrees at 9:00 P.M., but wifey wasn't feeling comfy with exposing her post pregnancy bod to the general public. I didn't argue with her:) So, the lobby bar was the next best option...
When we arrived in the bar, with ipad in hand (free wifi), we thought we'd unwind with a few glasses of wine, and peruse the internet for new homes. When the bartender came out to the cheap seats, my high maintenance wifey asked for a wine list. The bartender joked, and responded that he was the wine list. He began to recite all of the wines they offered by the glass. Impressive! Two hours later, I must say that he was one of the best bartenders I've ever had. He was funny, quick, and once again, and employee that I would want on my staff. I wish that I remembered his name. Damn wine!
When checking out, an employee, who I believe was a Manager, wanted to make sure we were satisfied with our stay. Yes, indeed!
Friendly employees, good enough hotel decor, a bar that has reasonably priced drinks, and an overall good location. I'll return! -

This is an awesome hotel, mainly because of the amazing indoor/outdoor pool and jacuzzi that they have. Half of the pool is indoors and half of the pool is outdoors. The indoor portion and the outdoor portion are connected by a tunnel that you can swim through. The pool is heated too - we went swimming at midnight and it wasn't even cold. Not deep though and no diving board - it's perfect to learn how to swim!
The rooms are very clean and comfy. Great service and good room temperature control. The only thing is that they don't have any fans in the bathrooms so it gets pretty hot after a shower.
Rates are super cheap though! My boyfriend found this deal online where you get 40% off and we only paid $65 per night for 4 nights! -

I expected more. Much more. Trying to save a dime, I booked the Sheraton through the Starwood Preferred Guest site. In hind sight, I should have spent the couple extra bucks across the street at the Westin.
The location is great. Easy enough on and off JBJ/Tollroad with free parking....so lets start there. I was surprised by the cars in the lot. Not what I would expect and a little beat up. Could this be an indication of things to come? Yep.
Checking in was easy but others at the front desk were in bad pool attire arguing about money. Please put some cloths on in public. The girls were young and having a problem paying for something. I was more interested in getting my key and moving on.
My king on 14, the Preferred Guessed floor, was large, clean and just fine for me or a small group of partiers (keep reading) but there was no safe. I had a friend crash over rather than driving one night and was charged $10 for the roll away. Should have been gratis at this level. That goes for WiFi too. Hilton gives it to me for free and so does Westin but Sheraton sticks it to me.
Thursday night was quiet but Friday and Saturday was non stop party zone. Both night the young and the drunk filled the bar, elevators and rooms with noise going well past 2AM. It was annoying for me but they seemed to have a great time. For the age and inappropriate behavior going on here, this traveler will sleep elsewhere. I can only hope it's better during the week.
If you're between 18 and 25, book here and play. If you're a creepy old man and like to play with the 18-25 yo's, book here. But if you're looking for a good night sleep in a peaceful, easy feel'n hotel, spend a few more bucks to weed out the party people. Whichever you are, you can thank me later. -

I am on a business trip and been staying here for 2 weeks... And I would not recommend it to anyone go to the W across the street for the price they charge it's so not worth it. Second day here got stuck in the elevator for 15 minutes .. They said sorry for the inconvenience but it's fixed now next day 3 other people got stuck. After that's we had a storm and power went out to the whole block for an hour and then it came back for everyone but the Sheraton, their circuits got over loaded ... We sat in the lobby with no air conditioning from 2pm to 12am at which point they got the generators running and just the lights were on in the hotel no AC at 5:15am we hot power again.
Then I sleep for 2 hours get up to go take a shower and long and behold no hot water.... Lol
The management is rude here the house keeping staff does not clean properly.
Sheraton hotels should really look at who they are franchising out to. The owners here are out to save money and will sacrifice your comfort for it ... Your better off going somewhere else. -

The rooms were very clean and the beds were so very comfortable! The entire staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. This hotel is also very close to the Galleria mall which is about a 5 minute walk. It is right on the freeway so getting to downtown is a straight shot on the freeway which takes about 10-15 minutes (depending on traffic of course).
Overall: I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Dallas area. -

OMG - I thought the St. Louis Sheraton was the worst I'd ever been to - but this won wins the "Worst Sheraton" title hands-down!!
We checked in around midnight and had an important meeting the next morning.
It took us 45 mnts to check-in because they only had one staff member! Their restaurant/room service was closed because their kitchen stuff wasn't working at all. They canceled breakfast services as well.
We asked for wake-up calls, and they forgot!
Their toilet flush didn't work properly!!
Their bath just didn't drain the shower water!!!
They had absolutely no hot water available all morning and just when I was almost done with the shower, there was a sudden bout of very hot burning water and I couldn't find anything but ice-cold or hot-hot water now.
They said they had some breakfast food available in the club lounge (we're SPG Platinum) and all they had was a week-too-late stale stinky muffins! Ehhh
So we thought this was the end of our ordeal when we checked out of the hotel at 9am. An hour later, I started getting skin flare-ups. Especially on my face. And I hadn't used any new products, so the only explanation can be the DIRTY towels!!!! Eeeeeksss!!!
The only one thing was that the one or two staff members they hired seemed polite and not defensive or rude, which doesn't do much in a situation like this, but at least they didn't not care... -

It would've been 5 stars but they don't have microwaves. When you're on a family vacation you have to eat out every day and a refrigerator is great so the food doesn't spoil but you can't eat leftovers because they have no microwaves.
That said, the staff was 'TOP NOTCH'!!! They were very professional, attentive to all our needs and easy to approach. Always sending a smile your way. We stayed here 4 days and were very happy.
The restaurant was very good too. Food was always hot and freshly cooked. The Chef's signature steak (I think that's what it was called) was super yummy. a little fat but it was so good I couldn't even get the nerve to complain. The mashed potatoes were some of the best I've tasted and the atmosphere was very elegant and inviting.
The other bad review was a couple of years ago. I think Shradha A. should check them out again as it is a very nice hotel now, if not back then. -

I'm a huge fan of staying with the Starwood properties! Mostly because you know what to expect. This stay was no different! We had a very friendly check in, there was no waiting and the front desk clerk even introduced the properties facilties to us. We called guest service after we checked in which was around 3pm but no one answered, but no worries because the next time we called they took care of everything. The room was clean and they had a nice flat screen TV. I was just disappointed that they had so many sport channels. Also I wish their bathroom was a little bigger, but otherwise it was clean and everything was working properly.

The Sheraton North recently hosted a conference for Professional School Psychologists. I arrived early as I know traffic getting to this particular area at 8am can be hellish! Upon arrival, I was pleasantly greeted at the door and directed toward the room where the conference would be held. I was completely starving when I arrived and hoped there would be complimentary breakfast for us! Hooray Sheraton for workin it out! They had an entire table full of bagels (plain, blueberry, and some multi-grain version), danishes, and other sinfully sweet breakfast pastries. I personally hate eating untoasted bagels with cream cheese, so I was delighted to see that they had even set up a toasting station for us! To accompany our early morning carb-fest there was another table stocked with semi-fresh bananas and apples, fruit juices, and starbucks coffee!!!! Everything was fantastic...so much so that I even wrapped up one of the danishes in a napkin to take home with me....hehehe.
When lunch came around, we were informed that the hotel buffet was being offered to us at a discount rate due to the size of our group. Perfect! The buffet was fantastic! There was a huge salad bar with tons of fresh veggies to choose from, fresh fruit, cold salad (chicken, tuna, etc), and soups to start off your meal. There were three entree selections to choose from (one beef, one chicken, and one fish) and they all looked really good. I chose the baked tilapia since it was the healthiest option. My only complaint was that it was slightly overcooked; however, the flavors were fantastic. Sides included rice pilaf, fresh steamed veggies, and something else I cannot remember. The best part of all were the deserts! They had a warm bread pudding which is probably one of the best I have ever had. There were also slices of pecan, key lime, and banana cream pie!!! I tried the key lime and it was tear jerkingly tart, but oh so good!
Under normal circumstances, I do not think I would eat here seeing as the normal buffet price is $15. However, with our group discount, taxes, tip...it came out to about $12 per person!!!! If you don't know the area and happen to be staying at this hotel, definitely check it out. -
