my reg stop for greek food.

my bf and i came with two other couples and each couple had an entertainment coupon (buy an entree, get an entree for $13 off). the waitress said that only two coupons could be used per table but she was proactive to ask her boss if we could be an exception. in the end, we were able to use three coupons, saving us a good chunk of money. i always order the lamb shoulder dinner. my bf had the grilled calamari, which was quite tasty, and i highly recommend if you are craving for a healthier version of calamari.

good food, great service, what more can i ask?

Decent lunch and dinner in North Burnaby.  Generous portions.

Dinner menu offers a few more interesting entrees than the lunch menu.

My favourite is the kalamari, no the lamb shoulder, wait... it's the souvlaki, no the dolmathes.....

Augh!  I can't decide and this place forces some serious decisions.  Unless you bring friends and sample from each others plates.

I enjoyed an iced tea and shared a lovely dining experience with my friend Alma. She tried the appetizer calamari (fried not grilled) while I chose Lamb slovaky. Choosing skewers of choice, spiced lamp over a grisly leg, I found the portions more than ample without the outrageous prices and the shared calamari almost better than my slightly dry lamb (which I couldnt fault with it being skewers vs a leg or something).
So with a full belly and plenty of leftovers I highly recommend this fine place.

When someone mentions Greek cuisine, this is one of those restaurants that comes to mind. I have been coming for years, all due to the help of the Entertainment book. The place has, from what one of the servers said, been around for 15 years, and has always had good food.

The service has always been very personable, and true, as it is a family run business. The food is the star of the show, everything from their roast lamb, their baked chicken (this thing keeps me coming back), and the mousaka (if I am spelling this right) is done right. Nothing over sized, but a plenty in portion, and on the menu, variety.

The place is cozy, with some newer furniture from the chairs, to the candles on the table, but it does have that family classic feel, like sitting at the table, noticing that the candle lit at our table was being held by a classic Cambpell's soup mug from way back in my time was a nice touch.

The prices are reasonable, the setting is nice with your friends or your date, the service is great, and the food is top notch, this place has my stamp of approval!

Based on a friend's recommendation, I tried this place out. Upon stepping inside, the layout and decor reminded me of Stepho's.

I had their regular Gyro (which I always mispronounce) which came with greek salad, rice, and other stuff I can't remember. The Gyro was sizeable and was a mix of beef and lamb and had a ton of taziki sauce (a bit too much), but It was satisfying.

Based on food alone I would have given it 3 stars as it is decent Greek food, but not spectacularly unique. I give it 4 stars as they have probably some of the best (and most attractive) servers I've had in ages. One recommended that I try Loukoumades (Greek Honey Balls). But according to her no one makes them in town, except at the Greek Festival on W 4th.

Well I was disappointed. I had an entertainment coupon and then came and read the reviews. So I took a risk. It's all about one's perception, right?

The food was bland. I had the lamb shoulder. And while it was fork tender, I could have made it better myself. As for the rice, blah. The potatoes? Eh they were alright, but I'm not going to call them fantastic.  My love had the moussaka and it was pretty bland as well. When I have to put lots of salt on my food, I know it's going to be a bad meal.

It's like if you put gold coated shit on a plate, what's underneath? It's still shit. Okay, I've always wanted to use that one.

The avgolomeno soup was alright, but once again.. All food I could have cooked better at home. Don't know where the garlic was either?

The service? It was okay. She was heavily pregnant, so obviously a bit slow. There was only 3 people in the whole restaurant and it took a while just to get water.

I guess I was doubly disappointed since I've been craving greek food for weeks.

To quote Charlie Brown, wah wah wah.. wah wah.

Nice Greek place everyone should try. Portions are quite big; I've eaten there at least a dozen times and have to bring home half my order after every visit. It's a fun and friendly atmosphere with efficient service.

You can get even more value for your dollar if you use Entertainment coupons (they are often in there!).

I love this place because they serve Skordalia, which for whatever reason, is SO hard to find at greek places.  it is SOOO garlicky good...make sure everyone in your party indulges...otherwise, you will be the only one reeking of garlic for hours afterwards!!

The restaurant is quaint and I've never been disappointed.  They have a few of vegetarian options, so that lets me mix things up.

Good Greek food, but fairly overpriced.  The food was the greasy, yummy Greek goodness that I expect from a place, but not the heaping portions like Stepho's or Taki's downtown.  It was decent all around, but I felt that it lacked bang for buck.

This is a pretty typical place for Greek.  Food portions are large, garlicky and drowning in oil; can't beat it.  The potatoes I found to be some of the best I've had, they are my favorite part of going for Greek.  Family run, nice and cozy inside.

This place has good food. It's not the best, but I like it. I love that the food is extra garlicky. It's great for those days you just want to have the taste of garlic linger in your mouth so you're left remembering a good dinner for the next few hours. :-D And I'm so not being sarcastic!

    Typical Greek!
    Waitress's very cute!!
The person who hires them should recommend a non fragrance environment.....the perfume each of them was wearing was nice but over powering and ruined my experience we couldn't get away from the fragrance....it was like they all bathed in their favorite frangrance....
    Really put us both off!
