Great service from the hello at the door to the goodbye after the (hefty) bill. Great atmosphere, great view, great food, great wine.
The restaurant is on a hill in Queen Elizabeth Park where you can see a great skyline of Vancouver (see my pics for an idea).
Service was over the top friendly. Waitstaff appear to love their job, which makes it a good atmosphere to be in. The little things made me smile, like when the butter said "butter" on it! So cute. Great presentation for food and table.
The food was delicious. The duck main was delicious. The chicken with risotto was pretty good too. The tuna nicoise was ok but the tuna didn't seem as fresh as I'd have liked.
Definitely check it out if you're looking for one of Vancouver's best dining spots and don't mind dropping a bill or two on dinner. I really liked it and it seemed to be pretty good value for money. Everything was great!
4.25 stars.
Decided to start an overdue mother-daughter bonding day with Sunday brunch at Seasons. We had a lovely time chatting outside, taking in the great view while leisurely enjoying our meal and loading up on coffee. Complimentary basket of warm fresh bread to start. Had some difficulty choosing from the menu! Ultimately decided on eggs benny, which were good, and quite filling. Mum had the green eggs and ham frittata- which looked much better on paper than what came on the plate. Other diners seemed to enjoy the stuffed mushrooms and crab cakes though, so we might have to come back for those!
Great service- attentive, and they were cool about us being a bit late for our reservation. Bonus marks for valet parking, which, I'd highly recommend for slow brunches!
It's another restaurant we and many of our friends don't frequent often because it's somewhat out of the way in QE Park and it's seen by many as touristy restaurant for visiting friends and families. We should really give it more credit.
My family had dinner there tonight and had a pleasant evening. Choices on the dinner menu are the usual West Coast suspects (salmon, halibut, sirloin, duck, etc) but our orders were well prepared and presented. I had Duck 2 Ways for dinner. The breast pieces were juicy and the leg confit was also fried just right with crispy skin and tender flesh. Service was attentive but nothing beats the absolutely fantastic view of the city and the North Shore mountains. Ask for a table deep inside the dining room for a view unobstructed by the trees in the park.
We just celebrated our daughter's wedding there.
what incredible staff, service and food.
A total pleasure start to finish!!!!!
What pros... what a view... what memories!
Congrats to everyone there who helped make our special day, perfect!
Sure is purty up here. Queen Elizabeth Park is the "other" Vancouver park (Stanley Park is the deservedly more famous one)... it sits over a hilltop that gives way to spectacular views of the downtown skyline against a mountainous backdrop. Nestled near the top is this higher-end restaurant that appears to cater to big wedding parties and other family-friendly special events. Normally I'm not keen on such places especially since I'm usually not allowed at weddings. Funny how one drunken episode with a pair of Fruit of the Looms flung across the dance floor will get you blacklisted.
Well, Jamie W. and I were up in Vancouver last weekend for his birthday, and to celebrate, we came here based on the enthusiastic Yelping that drove the ranking of this restaurant toward the top of the best eats list. Good job, Vancouverite Yelpers... it's a fine place for a fine meal even if there is a slight Mother's Day, plastic-on-the-furniture tinge to the country club-style ambiance. The beauty of the place is that pretty much everyone in either the patio or the dining room gets a view since they elevate the tables in the middle and even set up the chairs to face outward.
The menu is American bistro relatively unadorned with a slight emphasis on Pacific Northwest specialties. Jamie and I shared two openers that wouldn't have been out of place during the Kennedy administration - the C$12 Stuffed Mushrooms and the C$9.50 Iceberg Lettuce Wedge Salad (see photo). Surprisingly, no detail is shared on what the stuffing is, but I tasted chunks of crab meat, green onion and an almost au gratin cheesiness to them. Good stuff. The wedge was a bit overdressed with the blue cheese and "candied" bacon for my taste.
The entrees were substantial and succulent. Jamie ordered the C$24 Pan-Seared Steelhead Salmon with Maple Butter Sauce and Mashed Potatoes (see photo). Coming with a vegetable relish, it tasted fresh though a bit bland if you're looking for more seasoning. Mine was the C$28 Duck 2 Ways, which consisted of a sliced Hoisin Five-Spice Duck Breast and a Leg Confit, all with a Fig Demi-Glace and a Potato Rostï (see photo). I had the exact same dish in Mendocino at Cafe Beaujolais, and this one was much better with the duck very tender and the demi-glace not overly sweet.
Our meal ended there in the flash of a calorie-capping moment since we decided to defer on the tempting desserts. Yes, it was Jamie's birthday, and we didn't even have cake. We were so enraptured with the view and surroundings that we didn't even miss it. Oh, who am I kidding? We were just feeling guilty for all the Japadogs we've been having.
FOOD - 4 stars...fine local cuisine fit for a celebration
AMBIANCE - 4.5 stars...nice job allowing almost everyone to have a view
SERVICE - 4 stars...quite polite and attentive
TOTAL - 4 stars...if you are looking for a well-prepared meal that takes advantage of a lovely Vancouver vista, this is the one

When I was young, I used to live right next to Queen Elizabeth Park. Also, I used to go to Q.E. Park almost everyday before I attended pre-school. Today, I went to Seasons in the Park at Q.E. Park for the first time ever.
I was extremely impressed by everything at this restaurant. The service was first class at its finest, the view is the best in Vancouver, and the food is very high quality for this type of restaurant. The food can be describe as fresh B.C. West Coast cuisine. I had a B.C. salmon burger and it was the freshest and juiciest tasting salmon I've had at a restaurant. The bun was very fresh too. I went with my Dad and he had a chicken flatbread pizza with red peppers and cheese. I tried some and it tasted very good and fresh. My Dad told me that it tasted like pizza he had when he was travelling in Italy!
The view at this restaurant is best in Vancouver. There isn't a restaurant in Vancouver with a better view anywhere. I sat in the patio area and I was extremely impress with the surroundings. Service was the best I've experienced in all of Canada. I've travelled all over B.C, Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec, and Seasons in the Park has the best service I've experienced at a restaurant. The waiters really treated us very well with many water refills, asked about our food tasted, and provided us with extra servings of bread and butter.
Seasons in the Park sets the benchmark for an excellent restaurant that others restaurants of this type should follow. All in all, this is the one very special restaurant in Vancouver or I should say, in Canada
Update: hours later eating at this restaurant, my Dad and I had upset stomach and diarrhea. I came to the conclusion, that it was probably the pizza my Dad ordered. Someone might have not washed their hands properly while preparing the pizza. My Dad never had any of my salmon burger. I had two pieces of his pizza. Will I ever return to this restaurant? Yes! Will I ever order pizza from Seasons in the Park? No.
I organized our 'team retreat' at Seasons in the Park and was very impressed! We booked the room they have downstairs which had an amazing view. It was perfect for our team of 15.
We ordered the 'continental breakfast' for each member of our team and I thought it was a little chincy. It was $17/pp which included a muffin, coffee, juice and some fruit. The quality was superb but I thought the cost of this was still a little bit high.
The staff were very sensitive to the needs of our meeting as we needed it to be very very confidential. The waiter came exactly at noon to take our orders for lunch. (we decided to order a la carte for lunch).
I ordered the Seafood Linguine Marinara with bacon, salmon, cod, prawn, scallops & parmesan cheese. I followed with Little Brownie Mountain vanilla ice cream, caramel, chocolate sauce, candied almonds and chantilly cream. This meal was worth every penny off the corporate credit card!
I would definitely book another team retreat here again but would probably want to order breakfast a la carte as well.
oh yes, and I also saw the lady with the red hats...
I love Q.E. Park. The restaurant has a great location with city views as well as views of the park itself. Service was friendly and professional. I love the huge, thick slices of brioche french toast they serve at brunch with fresh fruit. I've also tried their paninis which are crisp and delicious. The only time I've been disappointed was when I ordered a corned beef and sweet potato hash (also on the brunch menu), which was too salty and greasy for my taste. Other than that, my experiences here have been great.
Great food, better view and nicest location in Vancouver away from the water. Prices were not unreasonable.
The food here was amazing! The service was amazing! The view was amazing!
This is a great place to go for any special occasion, such as a last dinner out with colleagues you've been working with for a year, or a special date to seal the deal.
I had the mixed greens for starters which was quite nice and well balanced. The only thing I could see enhancing it would be candied pecans or something. It was a tossed spring greens salad with dried cranberries, macedonian feta in a maple vinaigrette.
For mains, I had the Moroccan spiced lamb shank. The meat just fell off the bone and it was so delicately, yet adequately spiced. The vegetables on the side were cooked to perfection.
And for dessert was the burnt lemon tart, which was great. It wasn't overwhelmingly tart and had a great lemon flavour. The peanut butter cheesecake was also very delicious. It was quite creamy, and not too dense.
It was a perfect dinner for a perfect celebration. The view is amazing. The service was perfect. It was always there, but it wasn't noticeable. I'd love to come back here with a more situation.

I love this place! For any special events, I will go to Season's for their really good food. Prices are like any regular fine dining restaurants. But one thing that left my heart melting the last time I was here was their dessert. I really liked their Triple Chocolate Truffle cake - I think that's what it's called at least.
Their brunch is really good too! Crab cakes, stuffed mushrooms, yam wedges and so much more!
Although it is a fine dining restaurant, I don't seem to find it that up scale. But their food for a fine dining restaurant is superb - not like other fine dining restaurants that take your money and give you crappy food!
I love this restaurant because of it's unbeatable ambience. My memories of Seasons are all good and, true to its name, I have dined here in each of the four seasons and always enjoyed the surroundings, whether it be in autumn with fog over the city and the lights glowing softly through the mist, or at Christmas when there are beautiful lights on the trees outside and warm, cozy fires inside, or in spring and summer when the trees and flowers are gloriously in bloom. The food is good - West Coast cuisine with some international touches; the wait staff are discreet and attendant, but not bothersome, and the surroundings are conducive to a genuinely enjoyable dining experience in a lovely setting which highlights the beauty of Vancouver.
When one wants really big brownie points with their significant other I would definitely suggest you to make a night or early evening reservation at this beautiful restaurant!
From the moment that you drive up to the Valet parking the general atmosphere of the Queen Elizabeth Park with envelop you in awe and peacefulness. The staff is courtliest and the interior of the restaurant matches the surrounding park perfectly. For that exquisite view I would suggest getting a table in the Skyline room. The menu is so hard to choose from but surely they would have something that would fit your mood and if you don't know what wine to purchase your server would have a few suggestions to match your meal :)
I lOVE this restaurant! It's one of my favorite places to have dinner and spend quality time with my family.
Located in Queen Elizabeth Park with the backdrop of Vancouver's beautiful downtown skyline, your eyes and mouth are in for a treat!
Their portions are generous and their ingredients are fresh!
I love their rack of lamb! YUM! It's still making my mouth water!
There's a sense of escaping the city coming to dine here...like dining in NYC's Central Park Boathouse.
I couldn't ask for a better place for a restaurant like this to be in.

Gorgeous views. Just breathtaking. Food's pretty good too. Came here for a business dinner and were seated in the skyline room. Thankfully, it was still light out so we could enjoy the view while we waited for everyone to arrive.
We ordered several appetizers, and the Carpaccio was definitely the stand-out of the bunch. I had the mustard-crusted halibut. Beautifully presented. Though the fish was dry, the coarse grained mustard added nice tang and texture that complimented the halibut. Desserts were amazing. The sunburned lemon pie was essentially lemon creme brulee in a crust.
Overall, beautiful view and beautiful food to match. Very memorable.
This restaurant has perhaps the best view in all of Vancouver as it overlooks the city skyline from the highest point of Queen Elizabeth Park.
I ordered the Fresh Queen Charlotte's Dungeness and Risotto Cake which was amazing! The presentation was very creative with all of the green stacked on top and circled with the sauces. Best of all, it tasted great. I wish it was a little bigger but it was well worth it.
My mom had a salmon sandwhich which I had half of and that tasted good too.
i went here for the brunch. the stuffed mushrooms were awesome. everything else was blah. the eggs benedict was whatever.
the music they play in the background does not fit the mood. The setting of the restaurant is classy , however the music they were playing was some upbeat electronic music? and it was way too loud.
If it's good enough for Bill Clinton and Gorbachev to eat here, should be good enough for the rest of us, right?
I think my expectations were high based on the customers who have been there, but for 'west-coast' type of cuisine, I think there are much stronger restos in Vancouver.
The huge selling point here is the amazing location in QE Park. I could just feel the work stress moving away as I drove in the park and walked about the gardens before coming in for dinner tonight. The view of the mountains and downtown edged by flowers is spectacular!
I had a green salad with strawberries, candied almonds with goat cheese to start and a light vinaigrette. This was quite tasty with a nice mixture of tastes and textures and the vinaigrette was excellent. My main was a miso cod with mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes. I thought this was okay - the fish was nicely done and quite soft, but it was lacking flavor. For dessert, I had the chocolate fudge cake - it comes with 2 mini pieces which is perfect for sharing. Also a nice cake, but not especially memorable.
I liked it overall and the ambiance boosts up its rating for sure. But I'm a foodie at heart, and at this price point, I've had better food elsewhere so it's a 4* for me.
started off with valet for $6.. they also have street parking and a lil' parkade at the top of the hill for around $1 for every 2 hours
great view in the restaurant if you get seated in the dining room facing north
tonite started with some nice warm french bread with butter
standard salad with feta cheese and candied almonds.. yumm
entree was a choice between the salmon, seasonal veggies and mashed potatoes.. or the steak.. the steak is always SOLID here.. nice big size and juicy so you can't go wrong.. but tonight i went with the salmon and it was really good.. prepared perfectly.. succulent and a nice degree of flakiness
dessert was a lemon tart which was a huge portion.. like a piece of pie.. it had a caramelized sugar top layer and a nice thick crust.. not the biggest fan of lemon but this was fantastical
the sauvignon blanc (probably the house wine) we had was nothing special
service is always good here as well!
these guys are usually part of Dine Out Vancouver so defo check them out if you haven't already!
The view is great. Sitting on the patio on a summer evening with a view towards downtown is a great experience. This place is close to my home so I have tried it a few times. Each time I have been there, while the food has been decent, there has always been a service gaffe. Perhaps I have been unlucky. I was brought the wrong wine once and the staff were trying to convince me to keep the one that they had opened and I didn't order. Although it was rectified in the end. On another visit, we had to wait in the lounge for over an hour even though we had long-standing reservations as the weather had turned and they were trying to move people from off the patio into the restaurant so we kept getting pushed. We would have left but we had out-of-town guests that really wanted to go here. It's a nice place to take out-of-town guests for the view but the service is not the greatest, in my experience. Vancouver has a lot of stellar restaurants--there's better for this price point.
My first impression with this restaurant was wowwww!!!
It was my first time coming to this restaurant, we came here on a March Friday evening, outside still a bit chill. The moment we walked into the restaurant, we were welcomed by the cozy and warm air, several fireplaces were near the foyer, the smell is fab!!
Restaurant itself is situated in an undefeatable location with unobstructed and breath-taking view of downtown Vancouver, and surrounding is tranquility and peaceful. (Just this point already worth 5 stars!)
Service was good! Food is pretty good, we had order antipesto and muscle for appertizer. The anitpesto dish was a bit disappointing, not as good, I think it's missing figs and warm cheese with some baby argula, that would complete the dish; as for muscle, it's very tasty just as expected, great with dipping bread. Main course is NY steak, soft and tender, fat distribution is even, I think it's better than Keg's (the Keg in downtown Calgary, their beef was a bit hard, maybe cooked for too long), we also order seafood fettucini, rich taste just like any other seafood fettucini with creme sauce; I think they could improve the taste a bit, seafood itself is fairly rich, and with the creme sauce makes it even richer, i felt full after a few bites, so maybe add a twist to neutralize the richness. As for dessert, we were in a rush, so we didn't get a chance to have dessert, next time then!!
Overall, food is good and venue is awesome, and view is fabulous!! Cozy place, great for family gathering, worth to go if you are in Vancouver!! 4 Stars for food, 5 star for venue!!!
The food is amazing but I want to talk about the view. Everyone talks about the amazing view from Seasons in the Park but the last time I was there it was so foggy you couldn't se two inches out the window. You might think this would ruin the dining experience but just the contrary. The illuminating glow of the fog covered windows added an almost magic touch to a great evening. Point of the review being even if the weather isn't 100% Seasons in the Park still has some magic up its sleeve.
We had a friend visting so we decided to take her someplace with amazing views. Though we had never been to Seasons we had heard compliments about it and decided to go. This restuarant is AMAZING! The view itself makes it worthwhile as no matter where you are seated you can see the skyline of Vancouver and the beautiful garden area of Queen Elizabeth Park as well. The SERVICE was friendly and helpful, the FOOD was amazing and well worth the money you pay ( i would highly recommend the "green eggs and ham" frittata) and there was also a good variety of selections. We had a vegetarian and meat lover in my group who both found and loved the meal they chose. Perfect for entertaining visitors, romantic dinners, or family brunches.
One of my favorite restaurants for the scenery alone. I would say the good food and the view are a 2-in-1 deal. The spinach salad will always stick in my mind, as it was the first time I have had dried fruit and goat cheese and nuts all in salad, delicious. The ambience is romantic, excellent for an anniversary or other special occasion. Breathtaking!
Had dinner here on Wednesday night...
Came str8 to Seaons when arriving from the airport... eatting dinner here was my one and only experience in Vancouver.
my bff and I had dinner reservations at 945pm, right before closing... so we had the whole place to ourselves! which was great.
we had an amazing view of the city... enjoyed the apps, main dishes and dessert. I had the salmon and my bff had the porkchops. we shared the crab cakes and ribs. yumm.
only negative: valet sucks. he didn't move the car, stopped by our table half way through dinner and gave our keys back and charged us the valet fee. Luckily, the waitress was kind enough to take the valet fee off of our bill.
Customer service was great, maybe too the fact that it was just us.
Wish I could experience Seasons in the Park again.
Love the enterance with the fire place and christmas tree... very warm and inviting.
If you're visiting Vancouver, looking to have dinner for a special occasion... check out seasons!
Indulge in picturesque Vancouver scenery on a bright morning for brunch or cozy-up with blankets and the fireplace on their heated patio for drinks after dinner.
Atmosphere & Service: Splurge and impress a date, gather the troops and empty out your company's expense account or anniversarize any event at Season's. Attentive and well-trained wait staff - I expect nothing less!
Food: Fanciful but tasty. Dishes offer West Coast cuisine with hints of global flair. Portions are fair and presentation is as expected.

Such a find! President Clinton dined here back in the day!! The views from the dinning area are truly wonderful, the park below, the city lights of Vancouver and the mountains in the background, talk about a picture perfect postcard!
A trip to the Queen Elizabeth gardens would not be complete without a stop here to dine. Brunch, lunch, or dinner, the menu is a prime example of fine Canadian foods, whatever that is! ;-)
Peppercorn Crusted Rack of Lamb was to DIE for, the star anise infused demi-glace did not over power the lamb and the garlic mashed potatoes accompanied nicely, yet didn't warrant warnings to our other party members or day-walkers....
The Mrs. had the Wild Mushroom Filo Pastry, served with a
porcini cream sauce and a hint of black truffle oil. It must have been good, as I didn't get a taste and it was Hoovered off the plate in fine style.
Brunch/lunch was wonderful as in the daylight hours you can see for miles! Check these snapshots from their website! http://www.vancouverdi...

The view from Seasons especially at night, is outstanding but this should not overshadow the food, the meat and fish is great but the poor vegetables are abused souls hopelessly thown to hungry diners with nary a care.
There was 16 of us for a special event.. so a little challenging as we were spread across 2 tables.
The service was attentive not quick but cordial and familiar. Nothing to it ,it is just a big place
I ordered the tuna for the starter and the two ducks for mains. Togarashi Crusted Pacific Albacore Tuna chilled edamame salad, soy mustard vinaigrette
The tuna came with a lovely sweet savoury taste with the soy coming through the was strong and was in danger of overwhelming the tuna. The edamme beans were strewn across my plate some which does not bother me but from a taste point of view were not a contrast or useful taste addition. The sushi gari on taop was an irrelevance. Overall, good tasting tuna but everything else did not work.
The two ducks was an interesting choice.. I order duck from restaurants for two reasons
1) I am too damn lazy to make it myself
2) making duck in a restaurant is hard.. duck is unfriendly to reheating, etc
Duck 2 Ways
hoisin glazed 5 spice duck breast, leg confit, fig cinnamon demi-glace, shiitake mushroom rostï
The hoisin duck was stunning tender, consistency of a loley staeak, amazing texture that demanded to be eaten. The leg confit was great texture as well not stringy or buried in sauce and again demanded to be attacked.. it came apart with ease. Very good show.
Again the vegetables, have no idea abiout the mushroom rosti. I did have some asparagus on the side. If the front of house does not know what the kitchen is doing... err oops... I like to know what I am getting... it is not a one actor play it is an ensemble.
Skipped desert and coffee but had two glassed of wine.. as always the cheap one on the list is always too weak to go for and I would say the Pinot Noir was washed out tannins, falvours soft you could miss them.
The Cabernet Sauvignon was full kicking out flavour big fruit, - strwderries and cherries tannins non existent and at $12 a glass it was expensive but for $3 more than the Pinot well worth it.
Worth going for the view alone.. the meat fish just add to the equation.
Vancouver is a city of views, and this restaurant in Queen Elizabeth Park is one of the best places to enjoy the vista.
The park is on a hill several kilometers from the city, and the restaurant takes full advantage of the height and distance, offering patrons patio seating or inside dining with large windows. Either location provides a great view.
To top it off, Seasons has great food with reasonable prices.
Check out Sunday brunch, with most entrees $12 to $15.
There's no denying the view from Seasons, it truly is amazing! My boyfriend took me to this lovely spot perched atop a hill in Queen Elizabeth park for V-Day last year and it was definitely a treat. We ordered from a 3-course set menu along with a bottle of white and soaked up our beautiful surroundings. Seasons is huge, large enough for wedding receptions (Vancouverite Sarah McLachlan had hers here), Presidential meet and greets (Yeltsin and Clinton) and EVEN International Olympic Committee meetings...! I truly enjoyed the atmosphere here, very romantic and natural, although I wasn't as impressed with the food as I thought I would be...save for dessert. I had a special Valentine's Day lemon tart, A-MAZING!
This was one of my all time FAVORITE restaurant for any occasions and they have the best rack of lamb and some chocolate cake....freaking decadent!!!!
Fab fab views! bring your out of town guests here on a clear night ...the only location that you can see Downtown and the Mountains clearly! We attended a Company Party in December and had one of those very cold crisp evenings that let us see forever!
The food was great, hot and the service was friendly, attentive and professional. A good time was had by all. We will be back to take in the view during the day / night a few more times!
