Put this little shop on your route for dress shopping. They carry a variety of dresses from every day glam to cocktail party threads. They also have a large number of accessories made by local designers (yay!) that help support Vancouver entrepreneurs.
While sometimes it can be difficult to find a size because the dresses get snapped up quickly, you can keep in the loop by following them on Twitter, as they update when new stock arrives and they are good about ordering in if you simply HAVE to have it (which you will).
Scout also puts on customer appreciation nights that have fashion shows as well which is a nice little 'thank you' for being a client and a good chance to see new items and meet other well-dressed folks.
Approved.
PS: Also has couch for friends/escorts to sit on while you try on items and give private fashion shows. Win. -

Scout is another on my list of places to hit when looking for a nice new outfit. Located on 8th at Main they have a great selection of local, fun, funky clothing and the ladies are always more than willing to help you find something if you've got a specific piece in mind.
One of the things that keeps me coming back is that they cater to women of all sizes, so even if you're having an off day but have that perfect idea in mind then they can help you out.

I love the beautiful clothes here, most fabulous pinup wear ever. charming staff, beautiful location. Whenever I wear their clothes everyone is always asking where I got that fabulous dress/bathing suit. Definitely my favorite shopping destination.

Ladies, if you want to wear a dress to the party that everyone will be talking about the next day, this is the place to get it. Scout carries labels like Melissa Mae-Harlingten, Sweetsoul and Covet. Fashion designer Cara Long recently joined the boutique as co-owner so it's going to get sexy for sure. She is the brains behind some of Burlesque's most sought after lingerie-nipple tassle-gear. Back to the dresses" They're feminine and sexy and hug the curves the right places.

Scout is another great independent clothing boutique that is found tucked away on 8th near Main. Many of the labels carried here are local designers, and everything here is creative, feminine, and unlikely to be being worn by everyone else. Scout carries lots of pretty dresses, evening wear, some casuals, but mostly the clothing here is dressy and sexy. The prices are, mostly, pretty reasonable, although I managed to pick out a gorgeous little dress that was $520 - eek! That, however, was considerably more than most of what I saw here. And, I got a sneak peak at the spring selection (spring? It's only late November!), and it is lovely! So next time you need a special occasion dress, check out Scout.
