Went back today for another meeting...  Fantastic! Had the special again today which was a chicken quesadilla (huge chucks of chicken and really good quality cheddar!) and the buffalo dip that came with it was very good as was the caesar salad. The salad was crisp and cool, bite sized and not over-dressed.
My friend ordered the beef stew and she really loved it. The portion size was very large and we both had doggy bags to take home. The pub was busier today being a Friday but still very laid back and pub-like with a good late afternoon vibe.
    Service was spot on.
    BUT
I had a vodka/tonic and trust me, for $1.50 more, ask for the "good" vodka to make a better drink. Otherwise you can close your eyes and imagine you are in Las Vegas drinking bad alcohol. A good tip I would say as there is nothing worse than bad vodka.

As my neighbourhood pub I frequent it fairly regularly and often enjoy myself here.  I was there about 2 weeks ago and enjoyed myself.  We usually go after a ball game or for a quick drink and chat.  I like the nachos, quesadilla and poutine, but bare in mind that it is typical pub food and nothing spectacular.

It's clean with an old Irish pub ambience.  Last ball season they had a piano man singing Lady Gaga.  It was quite entertaining.  There's usually a game on the TVs.

We have servers that we prefer and try to sit in their section if it's not full and if they are working.  Not all the staff are as friendly as others.  I've never had horrible service, but at times I've felt like an inconvenience.

Would I go back?  For sure... as long as I live in the hood.

My boyfriend and I decided to stop at Scotsman's Well for a pre-movie bite to eat last weekend, since it was on the way to the theatre. I had been here previously, once just for drinks and once for a Christmas party, so this was the first time I was actually checking out the menu and trying the food. The place was busy but not packed, so we seated ourselves at a table near the back. The specials were burgers (although it did not state the "special"' price) and caesars. Our server was quick and attentive, we ordered drinks and burgers and they seemed to come out pretty quickly. The food was typical pub food - good but not amazing. I did really enjoy the onion rings though. I've heard their wing nights and rib nights (Monday's) are really good. Our bill came to about $30 for our meals & drinks - all in all it was decent, but nothing to write home about. I might be back if I'm in the area, but I'd probably check out some other restaurants in the Creekside area first.

Dry ribs - HUGE but quite fatty

Monday Night Football - drink coors light for an entry to win a jersey, draw takes place at half time every MNF game.

Location - perfect for me, always lots of parking

Other food? I had a pizza, chose my own ingredients, and it was great.

I'd definitely go back. I would give 4* but the server was a bit slow. A-OK!

Have been there twice. I find it overpriced and the second time 4 of us all complained of our food being too salty. I emailed the manager to complain and was told the cooks don't use salt. Yeah what kitchen doesn't use salt. So since they lied and the food is not very good and over priced. I will never go back

On any summer Tuesday evening in Calgary you'll find me playing Ultimate Frisbee.  The sport takes me to different locations all throughout Calgary, and the socializing afterward has me visiting some pubs I may never otherwise get to.

This evening, I found myself at Scotsman's Well Pub.  A spacious venue with ample seating and a couple of pool tables, the pub easily accommodated the 6 players from my team that came out.  It could have very easily held the entire 14 players on our roster without any trouble.

The first question we always ask after a frisbee game is "Do you guys have any team specials?"  To a team that just spent the previous 2 hours running around, team specials are gold.  Many places have deals on wings or discounts on jugs of beer if you show up in your team jersey with at least 6 players or so.  Scotman's did not.  The lack of the team special cost them a star in my rating and the potential for going somewhere else the next time we're playing up north.

On a positive note, they do have daily specials.  The Tuesday special was an 8" two topping pizza for $7.50 ($12.00 regular price).  The pizza was made fresh to order, and adequately cheesy.  Three pizzas and a full platter of appetizers seemed to quiet the rumbling stomachs of my teammates.

The service met my expectations, although I felt our server went above and beyond when she recommended going with a schooner of domestic beer rather than a pitcher as it ended up being less expensive overall (weird!).

The calamari included in the platter was also decent.  Some places can't make calamari to save their lives.  Scotsman's can.

Overall, I didn't find anything to set this pub apart from every other pub in Calgary, nor was there any deterrent to going back on a non-frisbee evening if I were in the neighbourhood.

This place is kind of interesting tucked away in the corner of a strip mall in Kincora.  I would have never gone to this place if one of my friends didn't go there often.  Boy, was I happy they suggested it.

The place is extremely large and has tons of seating, both booth and table.  The ceilings are high which means you don't have that cramped, caved-in feeling.  The bar is conveniently located so that it's never too far of a walk.

The prices at Scotsman's Well are pretty much what I expected.  It's the typical pub prices for food and drinks, but with specials on different nights.  I wouldn't say that it was a super awesome deal, but I also wouldn't go as far as to say we were being ripped off.  It was just right.

Another great thing about this place is the pool tables.  They have a couple so that a few different groups can enjoy a game at the same time.  There are TV's around the place playing whichever sports game is on at the time.  I never really care, but it's nice to have something to direct your attention to when there's a lull in the conversation.

If this place weren't so far away from me and everywhere I usually go, I think it could become a favourite new pub.  Sadly, it's a little too much in the boonies for me to enjoy on a regular basis.

We love it. Upperscale pub, decent service, great wings, onion rings, beef dip. I would not recommend anything served on their kaiser bun as the bun sucks. Be ready to wait a while on wing nights for a refill of Kokanee gold though!

Staff were pretty friendly. They offer discounts for signing up to receive texts. Food is pretty good. Would go back here. A cleaner pub to go to.
