I certainly need to update my review of Scotiabank!  I'm a fan. Oh yes, I am.  So, the disappointments felt in my first review (note: reviewed 7 months ago) were registered online by the scotiabank twitter account.  Ever since that, I've noticed a lot of positive changes.

Firstly, a lot of the staff that were on training have finally finished training.  The man, the dude who floats around this small branch (sorry, don't know his name) is the knower of all things and is quick to respond to any request/help that another teller might have.  Having said that, the tellers have also become incredibly knowledgeable and friendly over the last six months and coming here has been a smooth and relaxing deal.  It surely feels like a community bank in a small town because the staff don't change, they recognize you and it's all very homely.

One of the main reasons for a pull up to 5 stars is that when I went down to open a TFSA, the personal banking officer Chris, was so kind to take down my email address and get in touch with me with reminders of the paperwork I had to bring in for our next appointment etc.  I also wanted to open the account after a couple of months and he informed me that he would call me as a reminder when the time came... and sure enough, he stuck to his word.   This kind of service is something I'm not entirely used to (maybe it's a Canadian thing, I don't know?).

They've surpassed all my expectations and I'm sure to stick with them.  Oh and also, their new mobile app is pretty good and the new website is really functional!
