Its the new wave of dental offices, with atmospheric effect as its preliminary feature. Beyond Scotia Dental's frosted doorway, lies a serene bout of symmetry created by dual reception desks and clear glass backdrops. A waterfall softly trickles behind the desk, and the seating arrangement is spacious. Transforming the detested dentist experience, its clear that Scotia Dental hopes to ease the apprehension by providing a soothing environment.
Scotia is the place I've gone to get my teeth done since living in Halifax. Its a far cry from my dentist's office from home, with its crammed wait-room and aged pile of magazines.
The staff seem very friendly. From reception to the final teeth inspector, they are all quite chipper and do their best to make the most out of this un-ideal situation. I've had quite a bit of work done here, and they always explain things to me in real people terms. Thats cool. I've had a few issues through the years, and they've always had an ideal solution. Hooray.
Classical music plays, and you get a great view! I haven't been to other dental offices in the city, but I'd give this one an A++.
