Was throwing an event recently and needed catering for a couple hundred people. A friend of a friend recommended Savoury Chef, and while they might not be as pop culture of a name as glowbal catering, their list of past clients blew me away. The vogue, gm place, major speaking events, Olympic pavillions, orpheum... And were talking major events here like the Conan O'brien tour. Their prices were average but honestly the clear cut value was in the quality of service their team provides across the board and the quality of the food. We were able to feed, serve, rent materials, and provide specialized menus for a great price. The head server and chef are exceptional. The only knock I could say is that the food was so good that they stole the show by everyone more focussed on the food than the show!

Meet the Business Owner: Taryn W.
The roots of Taryn Wa's passion for cooking can be easily traced: growing up around two amazing cooks, her mother and grandmother, instilled an early love of food within Taryn.
It came as little surprise, then, that Taryn decided to forge a career path out of her love of cooking. A graduate of the Northwest Culinary Academy of Vancouver, Taryn received classical training in both the Culinary and Pastry Programs before receiving a scholarship from the renowned organization Les Dames D'Escoffier.
Taryn represented her school at the 2005 British Columbia Chef's Association "Hot! Competition Live," where she earned a gold medal after only ten weeks of schooling. Her win can be attributed to the drive, determination and dedication to her craft, qualities that have led her to excel in every endeavor she pursues.
