This is just a fabulous little neighborhood joint with honest to goodness, unpretentious food.
Try as they might they just can't seem to get a pleasing atmosphere, but the latest reno (these seem to begin and end on a 2-3 year cycle) has drastically improved the place.
Renowned for the pizzas, don't overlook the pastas. I've enjoyed the ravioli and lasagna but my favorite is the baked spaghetti which can admittedly be hit or miss. When it's a hit it's awesome. A stick to your gills crust of melted mozzarella envelopes a dense layer of pasta that swims in a super savoury, slightly sweet and wonderfully spiced tomato meat sauce. On off nights, it's lacking flavour, and either dry or watery.
Souvlaki is precisely what you'd expect, a Greek staple, and the Gyros are great. If the spaghetti wasn't so darn good I'd have them all the time. Available as both lamb or beef, they once brought me wrong kind and comped the corrected order and threw in free lemon potatoes.
That kind of customer service really speaks to the friendliness of the staff and the fact that they are a true neighborhood joint...not to be overlooked in an ocean of high flying concepts.
Just about everything on the menu is available for dine in, pick up or delivery and they've got a great point of sale system that caller IDs your number and automatically pulls your name address and order history.
In short they know who you are, what you like and exactly where its going so theres no time wasting repeating that info and no screw ups on the delivery. Just the way a neighbourhood place should operate.

So my local colleagues told me that this was the best pizza in town. There was only 1 way to find out. Sure enough, the pizza here is pretty freaking good.
I had the luxury of trying the Royal Sampler today, as we ordered Pepperoni, Vegetarian, and Meat Lovers. They are so popular, we ended up waiting almost 2h for our order (they let us know up front though)
The pizzas are all served on thin crusts, and are cut into squares. unlike most other places.
Pepperoni - giant slices of meat. Crust was crispy.
Vegearian - lots of olives. Not bad at all.
Meat Lovers - this was super-greasy. Meat was spilling out all over the place. Awesome!
Probably one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. Recommended.
