Defiantly one of the older sandmans I have stayed at. It doesn't smell, No view, + there is a Denny's, its close to the Vodka store, and if your lucky you might get one of the 2 smoking rooms.

Ugh, didn't like this place.
First off, no elevator. Sorry, I'm a girl and I pack too much stuff. Lugging my gigantour bag up flights of stairs automatically puts me in a bad mood about your property.
They did have free wifi. It was pretty weak in terms of signal, but sometimes worked well. They did have nice showers, too, with a rod that bent away from the shower so you don't have to touch the curtain (a bonus for anyone paranoid about germs for sure).
Location of this one is close enough for a walk to restaurants and shops, which is great. They also sell snacks there and if you're desperate there's a Denny's (gross) in the parking lot (for reals).
Also -- and they should fix this easily -- their sheets were absolutely terrible. That sounds weird to complain about but they were scratchy and just generally needing replacing. It kinda grossed me out.
Overall 2 stars. I highly, highly doubt I'll ever go back to Kamloops, but if I do, I'll probably seek elsewhere for a hotel. -

Wonderful staff and great location! The prices are good. The rooms are clean and well kept. We have stayed there a couple of times this summer. We were in town to do some mountain biking. The hotel had a spot for us to hose off our bikes before bringing them in. We will definitely be back!
