"You know you have some cleaning here." I was absent mindedly taking the escalator past the Sameday Depot in Purdy's Wharf when the clerk recognized me and hollered out a friendly reminder. Now that's service. When I picked up the cleaning, she apologized for hollering the reminder and said you can't wear the clothes if they're stuck at the cleaners. How true.
As the laundry wrangler in my house, my duties include dry cleaning. I've tried another less expensive dry cleaner, but the results weren't as good--suits grew shiny and shirt collars frayed over time. The worst was the non-stain removal.
The Purdys Wharf location is a depot for the Young Street location where the cleaning is actually done.
Sameday is more expensive, but the results are impressive. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you need something back the same day, drop it off early enough and it'll be there before closing time. And, best of all for me who is prone to spots and stains on clothes, if necessary each stain is treated twice, pretty much ensuring its removal. You get what you pay for!
