The woman behind Salts is very inspiring.
Shop here if you want support a local who's doing things just right. With her West Coast inspired collection, the Salts line has earned a special space in my carefully packed suitcase. Two Salts skirts have been a staple for local and tropical travel for almost three years, and have held up to the tried and true test of this roaming nomad. With amazing fabrics like hemp, bamboo and organic cotton, they dry easy, wear fabulously, and are very lightweight.
They recently moved from their Sooke location, and the staff in this new shop is super friendly and fashionably dressed with a keen eye for getting you that way too. The shop is filled from top to bottom with great wardrobe pieces, most of which are designed by Jen. They carry shoes from Simple and some great stuff from Livity, alongside a selection of local jewelry designers and other items like cards and wallets. The line of baby gear is adorable and makes a great gift for the little ones or moms-to-be. Since it seems like everyone I know is having a baby this year, this is very helpful. They also have great men's shirts, hoodies, and pants.
So glad they made the move into town from Sooke, I've already opened my wallet a few times since they opened, looking forward to the warmer weather to wear my newest Salts additions.
