The upside: The best haircuts I and my friends have ever gotten. Patty is a master of layers and shapes, and she has a great sense of style. The reason this salon can survive in a neighborhood where little else exists is because Patty has a dedicated base of clients that won't go anywhere else. She's great with men's hair too. Definitely worth trying.
The downside: Ever since Avalon moved from the center of the Drive, where rents were going up, to off the beaten track, their decor, atmosphere, and energy has suffered a little bit. Still very much worth it, though!
You can get a walkin haircut, but to get a haircut from Patty you usually need an appointment.
