It's a well-stocked, buffet style salad bar with pretty much anything you would expect to put on a salad: greens, veggies, fruits, nuts, protein (ham, tuna, tofu).
The owners and workers are Korean so expect to see some Korean influenced items thrown in the mix as well.
Everything, including the dressing, counts toward the weight of your salad which is metered out at a set price.
For a hearty lunch salad that will fill you up like no other, expect to pay $8-12.
For the price, I wish they had some more personal salad favorites like green onions or quinoa. Otherwise, it's hard to find a more comprehensive, fresh, or convenient lunch option in the immediate downtown area.
For first timers: don't worry about the occasional a**hole male patrons who will impatiently rush you through the line. Just politely crossover with them; I'm sure they're just really REALLY crazy for salad.. -

If I wasn't too lazy to make my own lunch I probably wouldn't frequent Salad Loop. Turns out though I'm incredibly lazy and find myself at the Loop more then I'd like to.
The buffet is well stocked and full of everything you need to make a healthy lunch. The problem is the price. I have yet to come out of there without spending $10 or more on a salad. I'm sorry, but $10+ for a salad that I make myself is just too rich for my blood, especially when I know I could have made a way better salad myself for half that price... if I weren't just so damn lazy.
