This was our go-to pizza place on Lonsdale. Their New York-style pies were huge and tasty, made with quality ingredients. The service wasn't always amazing, but the food always made up for it.
Unfortuately, the last time we tried to go order dinner, we found out they were closed and a kebab/donair place was coming soon. How very, very sad. -

* Pizza place with a Middle Eastern twist *
This is a new spot in the old Karla's Brooklyn Pizzeria location.
They have some nice Middle Eastern twists on the menu including lahmajun and donairs. Sadly they were out of lahmajun when I was there, but I definitely want to try their version on a future visit!
I ended up having the lamb donair. It was surprisingly good for a pizza place! The generous amount of lamb slices actually had a nice strong lamb flavour. There was a very nice yogurt based sauce, and the veggies (lettuce, tomato, onion) were all fresh. The nice touch is that they took the pita and heated it in the pizza oven making it wonderfully hot and tasting very fresh - delicious use of a pizza oven!
Service was VERY friendly as well, making for a wonderful quick lunch.
