There's that group of cashiers there that follow common sense and read your name on credit cards or you're Safeway card and they call you by name and they ask EVERYONE if they need help out to your car ....kudos to the service

This would definitely be the best grocery store that Burien has to offer. While, that's not saying a whole lot it's definitely great to have this store around. If only it had a gas station. Ehhh one can dream.
+Selection.

+Customer service is adequate.
+Safeway card deals.
+Cleanliness of store.
-Parking lot is often cramped & full.
-Lines can be long occasionally.
-It'll never have a Safeway gas station due to the small parking lot. -

WOW. Worst....bathroom....ever!!!!!
Disclaimer: This review is only for the men's restroom at this particular Safeway.
I came in at 7:30a on Saturday to get coffee at Starbucks. After placing the order, I decided to remove the stored coffee from the drive up from Portland.
I am pretty sure the men's restroom had not been cleaned since the Nixon administration. This was not a simple case of some paper towels on the floor. This was black grease caked sinks, urinials which hadn't cleaned in forever, rubbish can overflowing (at 7;30am remember) and the floor was a mess. The paper towel machine was open and appeared broken. I wasn't going near the stall, but from afar it looked the aftermath of a ticker tape parade in NYC.
I did not look at the sign off sheet to see who claimed to have serviced the restroom last...if ever.
I believe Safeway to be a proud company and I will copy and paste this to whatever "feedback" area I can find on the corporate website.

Even though I pass it daily, I avoid this store. The staff is slow and rude, and the store is poorly lighted. There are creepy panhandlers outside all of the time, and the entrance smells strongly of stinky cigarette butts.
Every other time I did go there, I would witness some sort of crime in the parking lot: someone going car to car seeing if the doors were unlocked, drug trades, vandalism.
Don't leave your dog in the car when shopping at this place. Dogs get stolen out of cars here.
The parking lot is cramped and full.
I would like to shop at Mudd Bay, but also avoid all of the other stores in that shopping center. -

My home grocery store, the best in burien, hands down.
Its not whole foods, but compared to the Albertsons on 128th this is the Taj Mahal. I come here so often I know all the cashiers. Reasonable pricing, good selection, well stocked.
My wish list: Wider Craft Beer Selection. -
