Really great food. I liked it a lot and the service was fast and friendly.
My only gripe is that although the restaurant was practically empty (early dinner on a Monday night) they sat us at a crappy small table. Not the best customer service. Will definitely be going back but I think I'll be a bit more direct with them about acceptable seating.
I had the Linguine with Prawns and my date had the Pesto Linguine. Can't wait to go back and try more of their menu. I think this will be the kind of place it's hard to pick a favorite. -

One restaurant with a long-standing gluten free menu is Sabatino's in South Surrey. Its been a long time coming, but I finally made it out there for lunch. There is an authentic italian feel to this place, and its a definite step above the italian chain restaurants. Their gfree menu is substantial, with appies, sides, pizza, pasta, and other mains.
Today I decided to deviate from my usual choice of pizza, to try their version of Alfredo pasta with shrimp. The meal was delicious, and the Arborio rice pasta was a nice change from the norm. I would definitely go back, and am eager to try more from their menu.
My only complaint was the price. I had a half order with shrimp add-on, and it came to 17 dollars. Thats a bit steep even for gluten free. Check them out if you're in the area. http://www.sabatinostr... -

My grandmother and her sister love to take the family out to lunch here (I think partially because of the convenient location and partially because they think it is "fancy"). They always insist on making a reservation, even though every single time we go the place is completely empty (I have a feeling it picks up in the evenings).
The staff here are lovely and friendly, and the food is actually pretty good. I've had consistently good service the three or so times we have been here. They have some good brunch options (a really good smoked salmon frittata) as well as some great pasta options. Full drink menu as well. I wouldn't say there is anything exceptional about this restaurant, but given what else is in the area, it's pretty good. -

Wonderful restaurant, the owners have managed to make it feel like home to a lot of their clientele who just keep coming back and back ( especially my wife and I ). The good sized menu allows you a change every time you go in. Staff are wonderful, too many to mention individually but nothing is ever too much for them. All the best.

Review from Katie F.
Friendly people but they're totally not used to hosting professional functions!
I'd been here previously for a regular dinner pre-yelp and it was an average experience. I can't remember anything about that meal.
Came here again recently where we booked out the private room and the servers clearly aren't experienced with that! They left the music on in the room even after being asked to turn it off several times. They would go in and out of the room during the presentation clanking dishes, leaving the door open (so the main restaurant noise kept drifting in) and talking quite loudly.
On the plus side, they have a pretty big menu and the food is inexpensive (most entrees are $20-25). Antipasti platter is fine but they could use better quality meats. The food is pretty average - I had the beef carpaccio (only ok) and one of their shrimp and salmon feature items. Nothing terrible, but not great. It's definitely skippable in my books, but if you're hosting an event, you'll need to prep the service staff first if you want it to go smoothly! -

This is a nice place and fairly low key and for the area, the food is good.
The menu here is solid and pizzas are very well made and tasty.
I was a big fan of their Caesar salad. The first time I thought it was the best I'd ever had. The second time - not so much. I don't know what I was so excited about the first time around. Consistency was lacking.
Our server RAVED about the Crispy Dry Ribs saying they have the BEST ones. Not so much. They're average. I've had better pub dry ribs.
I had the Linguini Pesto with Chicken and it was a little TOO rich, and I like rich. It's almost like they should have tossed in in 50% more pasta. I've had a linguni with prawns dish and that was done very well.
The portion sizes and prices leave a little to be desired. The pasta portions should be a little larger, prices a little less, unless they increase portions.
Overall, tucked away in a strip mallish area, it's kind of out of the way but it is a pretty good place to pick up a good meal. -

I paid $10 for 5 pieces of ravioli.. The waitress was clearly unhappy in my lack of tip, but I had to save my money to go eat somewhere else.

Nice place and friendly staff. I've been there a few times and the food has always been great. You can definitely tell the food is made fresh. Pricing is very reasonable. I would recommend.
