I had a gift card to spend. This was my first visit to this store. They were having a one day, store wide sale. 30% off everything. It was really busy in there.
I lined up behind 4 women for change rooms. The line moved quickly and I was able to purchase my items right away.
The clothing is just O.K. I wish they had a petite section as most regular clothing is too long for me. The racks were amazingly well managed even on this busy day. What impressed me the most was the staff. These young men and women were very well trained, extremely friendly, fast and helpful. I was asked several times how I was doing. I was thanked three times upon leaving.
They don't act like they're on commission. I'll probably go back. -

RW & Co is basically the reason I love Southgate. They sell clothing that ranges from casual to very classy, and it's a perfect stop for someone in their early 20s just getting into the job market. They sell a lot of detailed tops and dresses that are very figure-flattering, as well as loose and casual items that can be worn just about anywhere. And the prices don't really cross over than line into needlessly expensive, like some designer shops offering similar items.
Their color schemes, as stated by other reviewers, may seem bland to some. They focus a lot on jewel tones and grey tones, so if you're looking for something super bright this place might not satisfy. The good thing about their color schemes is that just about everything goes with just about everything else... after buying a couple outfits from this store, you don't really have to worry about matching. This is great for a business wardrobe.
I am, most importantly, impressed with the quality of the items sold here. The construction is solid and I have not had any problems whatsoever with the various items I have purchased here over the years. I've bought items from lower-priced stores to have them fall apart or wear out. And most higher priced stores are just not worth the money for what you get (and even then, I've had things fall apart.) RW & Co reaches that happy medium between quality and price.
If you're looking for something to wear to work, out at night, or even just around town during the day, RW & Co has it. -

I love love love this store! I can't say it enough how much I adore this place. I discovered RW & Co. in Vancouver, and didn't think we had one here in Edmonton. I figured if there wasn't one at West Ed, where else would it be? Lo and behold, there was one at Southgate all this time!
RW & Co. carries beautiful quality clothing for men and women. Their style is modern, sophisticated, and very classy. It mostly suits business-people, I would say; those who need something professional yet fashionable for the office. But hey, it's nice for the rest of us to look good too. Their selection for women is always feminine yet simple, never overdone. I think it's what keeps me coming back.
I won't lie to you, RW & Co. can be pretty expensive, but I still think it's a good deal for the excellent quality you're getting. And it's still more affordable than other high-end places like Tommy Hilfiger or Guess. And when they have a sale here, oh man, is it a sale! Go and get, I say, or you'll regret it. I haven't seen too many sales at this particular location yet, although I'm sure it's only a matter of timing.
They also have a sitting/lounge area with CD listening stations, if you're bringing your partner along but they get bored. They sell bottled water here too, although I'm not sure why. In case shopping makes you thirsty? They call it their "aqua bar", but really it's just a cooler with bottled water, nothing fancy.
I've bought a lot of gifts from here, and my family always loves what I pick out for them. I have a thing for skirts, and I usually get them from here on sale. I even managed to find a skirt for $5 once, I couldn't believe it. I would never have thought I could get quality like this for a thrift store price.
I don't usually go to Southgate for my shopping, so RW is the only reason I go back. They really should consider opening a location at West Ed, they'd get so much more business there. -

I really love this clothing store. It is very conservative - great for working women or men. Some of their stuff is a little pricey, but they often have great sale items.
I bought the cutest dress from here. It is now my favourite little black dress. The staff are really helpful and friendly as well.
The quality of the clothing is also really good. I bought a shirt from them years and years ago and it still looks like new.
They also have some accessories available, but they don't have a great selection which is unfortunate. I hope they expand on this because what I have seen so far is fabulous! -

I come to this store whenever I just need a regular work shirt or polo.
But that leads me to my problem with this store: I only come here when I need boring clothes. The clothes seem so bland and conservative. Everything just looks so plain and nothing really stands out. All the colors look the same. I'm sure that's why a lot people like it, though, but for me that's a negative point.
On the plus side, their prices are pretty fair. They hover around the Gap's prices, I would say.
