The food, location and service were all amazing.
I have lived in San Diego all my life and this is the first time my girlfriend and I have been here. We ordered the 8oz filet, 1 baked potato, lobster tail, chicken tortilla soup. Desert was chocolate sin cake and bread pudding with whiskey sauce. Everything was awesome!!!!!!!! Prices are kind of high, but this is an upper scale place. -

Best steak by far i've ever had. Always hot, always flavorful, always worth it. Rib eye and mashed potatoes is all you need and you can easily share that. Great ambiance and view overlooking the SD harbor.
Went to Donovan's earlier this year and it really made me appreciate Ruth's Chris. Donovan's is awful, and that's being generous. Still have a bad taste in my mouth. Bleh!!! -

Best steak I have ever had. It cuts like butter, no fat, completely delicious.. and likewise, everything I've had on the menu has made a name of itself. If price wasn't a factor for me, I'd go more often. BUT on occasion, It's well worth the pay. Plates are extremely hot, I made the mistake of touching mine immediately the first time I went. Reservations recommended!
Upscale, dim, intimate atmosphere..
Go & pamper your taste buds.. -

I love a good piece of beef. I love it so much that I usually have to just prepare it myself because restaurants usually can't hit my palate with flavor and quality. Well, Ruth Chris's just knocks it out of the park. I mean, obviously they are known for their hand selected steaks and premium prime quality, but the service, ambiance and food are just top notch. I ordered a filet, which was $40 and we had creamed spinach and asparagus for the sides. The creamed spinach was amazing! Very fresh! The entire experience was a little on the pricey, but the quality and service made it well worth my time and money. It was an excellent value for top quality food served by experienced servers. I will dine at any Ruth Chris's Steakhouse any time!

We had a reservation and still had to wait 45 minutes which was frustrating, and the waiter was a little on the slow side (I think it was just quite busy being Mother's day weekend) but steak and lobster made up for it all.

Service was really good.
Food was good too.
My three star rating is based on price.
For what I paid I would expect to be blown away on the food.
A $40+ rib eye should be amazingly delicious and mine was just good.
Same with the appetizers. -
Review from Nida K.
Holy buttery, goodness... this has the be the best steak I've ever had.
My boyfriend and I were celebrating V-day and he decided to take me here because he loved the steak so much when he tried it during Restaurant Week. It was a lovely night and I love how the restaurant is right on Harbor Dr. next to the water. We got seated after about 15 minutes due to the madness that is Valentine's Day. My boyfriend insisted that I had to get the Rib-Eye because it was the best tasting steak he's ever had. I couldn't believe it, but he was right. I have never tasted a steak with so much flavor. Although it was a generous portion and I was getting full, I knew I had to finish it or else I would regret it. Yes, it was that good.
Ruth's Chris is the perfect place to take a date or for a special occasion. I believe they have a permanent pre-fixe menu for under $50. Not too bad since the steak alone is usually about that price. It's a great place with amazing food. Even though it's a chain restaurant, the food hasn't been compromised. It's definitely one of the best steak restaurants in the country.Listed in: Date Night (SD), Carnivores Only (SD)

Im an in betweener on this place. Three stars because I neither loved it nor hated it. Sure it was delicious, sure it was fun to dress up and go out but did I walk away thinking-oh yes this I must eat again? No, unfortunately I did not.
The place itself has a great view of the water, but can get a bit bright and hot if your there before the sun sets. If you are taller than 5'10'' I would ask for a booth because I felt like a giant in my chair at our table. Our server certainly knew his stuff and was on time with everything as well as attentive to our table, however it felt very staged and one note. There was little personality and lots of rehearsed lines.
The food was one note as well; simple and classic (not a bad thing just not as exciting as I was expecting) and nothing new or out of the ordinary for a steak place. The flavors of the sides just did not pop to me. My Dad got the cowboy cut medium rare, and his was perfectly cooked, I got the filet and asked for it medium rare, it was definitely more on the medium side in comparison to my Dads meal and far over cooked for my preferences. The scallops were ever so slightly over cooked at our visit. Mashed potatoes are very very mashed and blended, the super smooth almost boxed kind but the flavors are there and they were good.
Overall for the price I was expecting a bit more of an experience. It felt like we were in and out in no time at all. I think a steak place should be a dining experience that lasts and with every bite you are excited about what new tastes and textures may appear. For me at least Ruth's Chris by the Harbor did not do it. I have not been to the location in Del Mar, but have heard it is a bit more enjoyable than this location. -

I enjoy dining at hole in the wall eateries more than I do fine dining places so it's difficult for me to rate a full 5 starts for a place that charges $50.00 for a slab of meat. Especially since my bf makes steak at home and to me it's just as good. Nonetheless, if you are looking for a romantic ambiance, good steaks, great customer service and dining with a view, RCSH is the way to go. Dining here makes any event special. Despite the $170.00 bill including tip I will dine here again.
Order:
Rib eye
Cowboy ribeye( bone in)
Spicy lobster appetizer
Ceasar Salad
Asparagus w/ Hollandaise sauce

AMAZING TASTE! GENEROUS PORTIONS! ALWAYS A NIGHT TO REMEMBER!
Looking to impress a date? Take her/him for a lunch or dinner date at Ruth's Chris! This downtown location has a great view of the harbor, the food is amazing, and though it can be on the pricey side, you get a good amount for what you pay. And they've got fixed price menus with a vast assortment of options so in case you're not in the mood for steak, you've got options for chicken and seafood as well. They also have a pretty good amount of options for wine, beer, and cocktails to go with your meal.
I got the fixed price menu and had the ceasar salad, the trio seafood option (lobster, shrimp, and scallops- uh huh DROOL), side of creamed spinach, and their chocolate cheesecake. All of that, and they are all generous portions (i could barely finish my trio seafood after that salad), for $45. Truth, it's not something I can spend 3 or 4 times a week on dinner but every once and a while it's nice to be wined and dined. :)
My date didn't go for the fixed price menu (was trying to show off I'm sure =p kidding). But his meal consisted of the crab cake appetizer (one of my faves!), the rib eye (which I totally wanted half off but sadly because this is what I gave up for lent, I could not), and a side of garlic mash potatoes. OMG it was an INDULGENT meal.
The waiter was extremely nice and was always checking up on us. He also made suggestions when asked and was very personable.
I've been to the Del Mar location before for Restaurant Week and it was just as great. The atmosphere I tend to prefer at the Harbor location but the food, service, and everything is excellent at both locations.

:( I'm disappointed.
My boyfriend and I are trying steak places because we fell in love with Flemings. But we have grown to realize that nothing can compare. I've been to this place before, once in high school, but it really felt like it was my first time.
We went on Valentine's Day, we should've expected that everyone was gonna try and eat here. We had a late reservation and there were still a lot of people around. Right when you get up the stairs, you're greeted by this awkward picture of who I believe is Ruth. LOL. hahah. Our waitress was kind of awkward, but friendly. We kind of forced ourselves to eat the chocolate explosion dessert, even though we were extremely full. I ordered the filet (it wasn't seasoned all that much). My boyfriend got the Cowboy Ribeye..let me just say that it was a giant piece of meat, I had a bite, his was better than mine, but better than Flemings. -

Would we go back? Likely, but not if it was up to me :-)
Sigh....I'm sure everyone has had the discussion of which high end chain steakhouse is best/worst. For me, Ruth Chris is typically on the bottom of the list. I've tried them out 3-4 times now, and have never been impressed. Last night, they failed me yet again.
I ordered up my favorite cut, the cowboy rib eye and the bf ordered up the regular rib eye. We also split a few appetizers between the group. I opted out of the butter on my cowboy, I know I know...that's like a cardinal sin for Ruth Chris fans, but seriously there's no point in rubbing butter on a flavorful cut like this. My meat temp was perfect (ordered med rare to med but more on red side) and the quality was as expected, however, I said hold the butter not hold the butter AND the salt. Not wanting to be a dick, I just applied the table side salt rather than sending it back. I tried the bf's rib eye which had butter, and it tasted much better, because they actually salted that piece of meat. He ordered up his rib eye medium-rare, but about 1/3 of the way in, the meat was rare and rib eye is just too marbled to be eaten rare unless you like chewing rubber. The sides are my biggest gripe with Ruth Chris, I have yet to find a dish I liked and we tried several last nite. The Au Gratin came out too firm and the broccoli n cheese is pretty much smothered in this pic as you can see. The best dish of the night for me were the lamp chops with fresh mint..mmmm mmm goooOD!
One of Ruth Chris selling point is that they cook your meat at 1800F then serve on a hot 500F plate. Now that we have a Big Green Egg, I can achieve the high temps that they use here if I choose to and just go to a local butcher shop to double up on my money. -

It was so easy to RSVP, I did it through my YELP APP - what a saver.
My Boyfriend & I came here during RESTAURANT WEEK, let me tell you- the prices were amazing on the menu.
I really like that MENU!
This was my first time here, I had an amazing time! Although even with RSVP we waited for a few minutes before being seating, I didn't mind at all! I really like the decor, the seating felt a bit tight though- maybe it was me?
Our servers were really nice & polite, even told us everything that was on the menu and what wine to drink the meal with. I ordered steak med. rare it was very delicious & you know how they tell you to not touch the plate? silly me, I did "oops" I'm just one of "those" ahahah. -

Thank god i went to this location at night on a thursday! I couldn't stand to venture to this place alone and have a ton of people eye balling the side of my face. It was slow and only one other patron at the bar.
The steak was nice and tender and the potatoes were ok. So0o0o 2 beers and the prix fix menu for around $55 + $10 tip. I needed to pamper myself and this was the spot!!! -

We enjoyed our dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in San Diego. The staff was very friendly, our waiter was the best. My only complaint is that there is no plate for the side dishes we ordered. The steak was on a small plate and there was no room for the sides. I suppose I could have asked for a plate but I think it should be offered with the sides. Other than that it was a delicious meal!

My fave. If you're a Paula Dean kinda person, a.k.a. you luuuuuuuh that butter!.... you will love Ruth's Chris.
I like my meat buttery so this place fits my bill to a T. Been here many, many times and the service has always been great with the exception of only ONE server who was just so hospitable and formal that it became kind of creepy and awkward! I kind of don't want my servers to be robotic, but better too much service than too little! No complaints.
Always made reservations and requested a booth each and every time, with each request being honored. I just like the booths more because you get more elbow room to pig out :p Telling them what you're there for i.e. birthday can often allow them to create some tiny surprise for you.... like happy birthday confetti's thrown all over your table upon arrival like a fairy (well, I thought it was cute haha).
I've been to the Del Mar location, and even though that one's much closer to home, I still prefer the Harbor Dr location because of the ambience. I don't like the stuffy too-quiet-I-must-whisper atmosphere of the Del Mar location. Maybe it's changed since I went a couple years ago, but I'm quite content with this place and it's awesome view!
Onto the food... I've only had the filet's as far as the meat is concerned so I can only speak for these. They are amazing, even after I've unsuccessfully attempted to find something to surpass them. Based on my personal experiences over the year, the cuts here just taste and look better than any other filet I've had and I love the way they are cooked to perfection in butter. I've never had an issue with my medium rare steaks either. I prefer Ruth's Chris over Donovan's and Fleming's still, and will go to great lengths to clean my plate here.
Pre fixe is a very nice feature, all of the appetizers and desserts I've had here were great also. One negative would just be the mashed potatoes--they disappoint and are often too mushy and bland for me, so I usually go with a different side, even though I'm normally a meat and potatoes kind of girl. The fries are decent, but nothing to die for. All in all, Ruth's Chris is still my go-to steakhouse. -

I went on the very last day of Restaurant Week and without reservations we got a table for two in under thirty minutes, which was just enough time to enjoy a nice glass of moscato at the bar.
My choices from the three-course menu was the crab stuffed mushrooms, ribeye served with mashed potatoes and the very heavenly, very decadent chocolate cake. Of the three courses, the steak was the best! As it should be as it is a steak house. It came out sizzling, juicy and savory with every bite. The mashed potatoes light and fluffy and drenched in butter (the best). The mushrooms were delicious and the chocolate cake had to be taken home to enjoy on a more empty stomach. Also, the bread basket was served warm which seems like a small detail but in fact, it's not! Nothing is worse than trying to smear cold butter on cold bread.
The food is divine. No question about it. The service was impeccable and the decor beautiful with a peek-a-boo view of the bay. However, due to the prices this is a special occasion place only - at least for my budget. Also, in regards to parking, I lapped the restaurant three times to park across the street so I didn't have to pay valet. I suggest you do the same. -

Ruth's-
Listen up: I want you to put your meat in my mouth.
Your steaks and burger meat, even your ricotta-stuffed chicken is awesome.
However, the burger BUN is made of something like tissue paper. It falls apart at the slightest touch. Toughen that up so it can be used as a sandwich-making device and we are good for 5-stars. As it was, bad bun got your meat juice on my skirt and that isn't cool at all. -

Ruth Chris is consistently good all across the U.S. from Alabama to Maui to San Diego... You are going to get good food with good services but will pay the price for what you get. I've never had a bad experience at this restaurant and have been here many times. I like the location in San Diego it's across from the bay and easy to get to.
The chocolate molten lava cake is awesome! My husband and I have stopped here after dinner just for dessert and wine at the bar! I recommend if you don't like butter or rich dishes ask them to put your steak on a separate plate. They cook it in butter and it'll be sitting in butter unless you ask for a separate plate. It taste great but I like it not too rich in butter! Also the side dishes are huge so split them.
If you want a good steak come here and you also get a good bay view without all the craziness of downtown! -

This is a decent location near the water. The service was nice and it was a great way to spend Christmas dinner. The temperature of the steaks were spot on!
The wine list is decent with a good mix of cheaper and expensive wines.
Overall, nothing bad to say about this Ruth's Chris location. I've been to about 4-5 other locations and the steaks are always pretty consistent. This time I had the bone in NY strip which was great with plenty of leftovers to make another nice steak meal at home. -

We went to Ruth's Chris on a Saturday night for a special before Christmas dinner. We arrived a little early & were told they would seat us as soon as possible. There were 4 other parties ahead of us so we thought we had time to step outside for a quick photo. We were outside for no more than two minutes & returned to the waiting area. At 5 minutes after our reservation time, the hostess asked if we had signed in. When we gave her our name, her response was 'I already seated you' . She did not apologize and let us sit there another 10 minutes before she could find us a table.
On a side note- who brings babies & small children to a restaurant like this? There must have been 6 or more groups with small children. One group dressed nicely in sweat pants & uggs. At these prices I did expect a better atmosphere. It is noisy & the tables are really close together. We had to listen to every phone call our neighbor took.
The food was excellent. We had the shellfish trio & new York strip. Service was just ok- I had to ask for another drink. Waitress took forever to come back to the table for everything. Bus boy was more helpful.
I might try another location of Ruth Chris , but this one seemed to be full of rude tourists. -
Review from Adrienne A.

Went for restaurant week, we were seated after about 5 minutes of waiting, but it kind of seemed like they didn't care if you had a reservation or not cause there was another party of two who got there at the same time as us who didn't have reservations yet was seated before us. I expected this place to be one of those restaurants where you come in and it would be like a classy business dressing atmosphere, considering the amount we have to pay. But there were numerous guests in just jeans and shirts, it's not that big of a deal but I guess I just expected more.
Our server was amazing she was so kind and constantly gave us her input when we had questions. She accidentally spilled my drink, but it was okay she felt really bad so she ended up giving us 2 extra free desserts since she felt bad.
For our appetizers we ordered the seared ahi tuna as well as the crab stuffed mushrooms, both was delicious I'm not a mushroom fan but when I tried it I couldn't stop eating it. We also ordered the calamari and it was really good. For our entree's I ordered the stuffed chicken with a side of garlic mashed potatoes and my friend ordered the 8oz rib eye with a side of mushrooms both were so good! The plates came out and the food was still sizzling. For desert I had the chocolate sin cake & my friend ordered the symphony duo. The sin cake was a little to rich for me but the symphony duo was delicious. I'm a fan, and would go back. -

Made a reservation for 730pm and we had to wait until 7:53pm, when they quoted a 10 minute wait.
Easy to find free parking on a Friday night, just walk a block.
This place is too packed and cramped with people especially the waiting area.
However... pay $40.95 for a starter, entree, 1 side, and dessert.
Best steak ever, best creme brulee ever.
The brulee did cost $4 extra, but we said it's our anniversary and they comped us both! Without that extra gesture, they would've got 3 stars.
I highly recommend the Del Mar location - less busy, less cramped. -

It was Thanksgiving and my family and relatives decided to go on a road trip. thats a road trip of almost a dozen people. knowing what id be getting into, i decided to pass on their invitation. So what I decided to do for thanksgiving was take my fiance to Ruth Chris for Thanksgiving Dinner.
The wait sucked. I had a reservation for 7pm and was seated around 7:30. Really disappointed as it seemed like they were trying to pack as many guests in as possible. being thanksgiving, i didnt make a deal about and just waited patiently.
Alot of people ordered the turkey prefixe dish which consisted of an appetizer, turkey, sides and a dessert for $35. GREAT DEAL, however, we arent turkey people.
I ordered the bone in filet mignon and my fiance ordered the filet and lobster. Both our dishes were ordered med-rare but both came out more on the rare side. So as a tip, if you order a THICK steak, and you like med rare, please order med-med rare. The waitress listened to my concern and did bring me back a fresh sizzling hot plate so the steak could be warmed up at my table.
In addition to our wonderful tasting steaks, we also had the crab cakes. I would say the crab cake would get a 7/10. its good but its no where near Brian Malarky's.
Wine and drink menus were very well put together and our waitress was really knowledgable about both. -

OMG, came here for Valentine's Day early dinner, AMAZING! although it was SUPER full...definitely a place to bring your date to impress them ;) there's a variety of options, if you're not into steak or red meat that night...Our waiter was weird, was a little tooooo attentive, kept repeating "Thank you for choosing Ruth Chris's steakhouse" over n over n over again, was actually pretty annoying when me and hubby were trying to have an intimate dinner...

Was just here last night with my boyfriend for our 3-year anniversary. Things started off a tad bit rocky cause we just missed the last table next to the windows, but the table we got still had a pretty nice view so we'll put that aside. To say the meal was excellent would be an understatement. It was absolutely perfect!
We both got the 3-course meal set with the 6-oz fillet & shrimp. We started off with some kind of chili soup w/ beans & it was actually really hearty & filling! Then, came the main course - sizzling on a plate w/ butter. YUM! Just the smell of it alone was enough to let me know that my taste buds were in for a treat :D I had garlic mashed potatoes as a side while the boyfriend had a sweet potato casserole as his side. I didn't get to try his, but we both loved my mashed potatoes. As for our steaks, we finished every last bite even though we were stuffed. The shrimp wasn't my favorite, but they were so juicy that even the boyfriend, who doesn't like shrimp at all, finished all of his :)
Now for the best ending to any meal I've ever had, we had the mini chocolate cheesecake w/ berries&cream and an upgraded dessert of cheesecake. Both were so heavenly.... even though we were both about to explode from fullness, we managed half of each dessert :D
Definitely worth a return trip, if not to this location, then to their Pasadena location, which is a lot closer to us. Along with excellent food, we also had an excellent waitress serving us (sadly, I can't remember her name :x) who recommended all the right things :) If the other location is as great as this one, we'll definitely be back for another meal at Ruth's Chris. -
Review from Jaimee H.
Ruth's Chris definitely sets the standard for fine dining and steak. I came here for Restaurant Week last week and I was very impressed with the service and most importantly, the food.
For $40, we were given a three course meal. I ended up ordering the seared ahi tuna for my appetizer, the 12oz prime rib for my main course, and the chocolate sin cake for dessert. The ahi tuna melted in my mouth. The prime rib was bigger than I expected. Each bite was flavorful and tender. I ended up taking the rest home and even when I ate it the next day, it was just as tender and delicious. The chocolate sin cake was so moist, rich and chocolatey. Honestly, one of the best chocolate cakes I've ever had. For restaurant week, they had a great wine pairing deal. Unfortunately, I was driving and couldn't take advantage. I had my meal with a house cabernet and even that was so smooth.
Service was 5-star. When we were taking pictures after dinner, the employees were kind enough to follow us around the restaurant looking for adequate lighting.
I only wish that the tables were not so close together.
Parking isn't too bad if you are coming here for dinner. There are a lot of metered parking slots across the street that are free at night.
I definitely recommend this place if you're craving steak and a fine dining experience. -

SD: Downtown
Friday September 16, 2011
Three Stars
It's Mexican Independent Day and we have a reservation at Ruth Chris for 12 at 9pm. We seated immediately in a back room with another huge party and a screaming baby.
Wine: Russian River Picket Fence Pinot Noir, Sonoma Cake Bread Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley Raymoud Cabernet Sauvignon, and Napa Rutherford Hill Merlot.
First Course: 8 Gazpacho Soups with Crab Meat, 3 Watermelon Salads, & 1 Cesar Salad.
Second Course: 2 Ribeyes, 8 Filets, Halibut, and a Stuffed Chicken
Sides: Garlic Mash Potatoes, Sauteed Mushrooms, Green Beans, Sweet Potato Casserole, Creamed Spinach.
Third Course: 2 Apple tarts, 2 Banana Cream, 2 Crème Brulee, a Cheesecake, Chocolate Explosion, a birthday dessert.
1. The Soup tasted like salsa and nobody finished it.
2. The Watermelon was juicy.
3. The Romaine lettuce and tomatoes on the cesar salad were fresh, crisp, and delicious.
4. The meat and Seafood were good but still overpriced.
5. The Garlic Green Beans were fantastic.
6. Creamed Spinach was inedible.
7. Sweet Potato Casserole was overly sweet but tasty nonetheless
8. The Cheesecake was house made and tasted more like thick sour cream than a dessert.
Overall this $1056 pre-tip meal was vastly underwhelming. -

The best meal i've had in a long time...
Even the salad was something special... It was just a mixed green/ dandelion salad, but it was so fresh... it was just amazing! I don't think i've ever raved about a house salad in my life...
We each got a steak and shrimp entree and we shared 3 sides because we both wanted veggies, but i really wanted to try the sweet potato caserole and he really wanted mashed potatoes... The sweet potatoes are something special... if you take a bite of those then a bite of steak it tastes just unreal, so so so good.
Our service was excellent! I hate when you get 3 star service from a 5 star establishment, it sours the meal a bit... If anything the service here made the meal even better! Much love to Pamela, she helped me pair a white wine with my steak and my husband to get a beer he would enjoy with his.
Next time i'm in SD i'll definitely be visiting this place again. -

My first time at Ruth Chris, my date really surprised me! We were seated within 5min, without reservations! The ambiance & romantic window table overlooking the bay was perfect! I ordered the most delicious HUGE ribeye...it was tender, juicy and savory with every bite, the sauteed mushrooms were to die for, and even the caesar salad was absolutely omg yummy! The service was impeccable and the food heavenly....I am so looking forward to coming back soon!

This is the first steakhouse that I've been to. Steak can get pretty expensive and out of my budget, so I've avoided steakhouses until now. I went because I've heard several of my friends rave about this place. I have two friends who don't normally like steak fall in love with Ruth's Chris!
I ordered the fixed menu including appetizer, side, entree, and dessert.
The waiters were on top of it! They always made sure that we had enough water. I was about to order the gazpacho, but our waiter said it wasn't very good, so I went with the caesar salad instead.
Caesar salad was fine (I'm not a huge salad person though). I got the sauteed mushrooms as a side, and it was not bad. I tried some of my friend's mashed potatoes, and those were great!
For the entree, I got the shrimp and filet mignon cooked medium rare. It came out on a hot plate :). The steak was juicy and tender and the shrimp was marinaded just right.
For dessert, we got the pecan chocolate truffles with the strawberry shortcake. It was the perfect dish to end our meal with! -

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday. We've always wanted to try it.
The location is a little odd because it's in between all these office buildings. I have yet to try the bay view location. The service was wonderful. Our waitress was very friendly and answered any questions we had. Our back waiter was adorable. So polite. We both got the 3-course meal set. The caeser salad had slices of cheese and was very tasty. I got the filet and he got the rib-eye. Wow, it really does come on a 500 degree plate. It stayed hot for like 20 minutes. That's good because I hate when my food gets cold. I love the feel. Definitely romantic and a good date location. Thank you boyfriend!
Wish I could come more often, but let's face it. I ain't ballin out of control haha. -

I've been to this joint before, but I didn't remember the steak being so darn dericious.
We were a party of 10 for restaurant week and sorry buds for half of our party arrived a good 45 mins late. At least we had fresh bread to sustain our veracious appetite! We also got a nice waiter at first.
When our party finally settled in, a new waitress lady came to take our orders. For such a fancy smancy restaurant, I was baffled to be treated like a punk/kid/teenager by our waitress. She wasn't outright rude or offending, but it was quite obvious by the way she talked to us that she thought we were immature. I've been so less classy places where the waiters treated us respectfully, but this lady totally left a nice stain in our otherwise awesome dinner.
Yeah yeah, I know we're late, but for a party with a bill of $450, you would've thought we'd get treated a little better, don't you say, Ruth Chris?
But moving on past the stale waitress, I literally melted into my petite filet, cooked to a perfect medium rare. Literally melt in your mouth. Oh. sorry, was that my stomach grumbling at 12:40am? Perhaps.
Dessert was also fantastic--we all got the cheesecake and the vanilla ice cream. Sigh. Too bad it was probably a good 700 calories for that little piece, but well worth it. And it didn't taste like they brought it out of the freezer to thaw while they cooked our steak, which is good I suppose.
I'll come back, because I do believe that Ruth Chris has better service than this lady-monster brought to the table, but I'd stay clear of anyone that might be this lady. I don't know her name, fortunately. . -

Went here for my birthday. Made reservations stating it was a birthday, was greeted by hostess and waiter who all said happy birthday - but wasn't comped a drink or given free dessert or anything. 200 dollars later we enjoyed our meal (bone-in filet) and a bunch of tasty beverages but overall wasn't very impressed. Waiter was great but prefer Morton's for special occasions.
