My boyfriend and I went here during the day on our anniversary to play mini-golf. It was a beautiful day and the mini-golf was really fun, even though I sucked at it!
This park also has paddleboats and day sites that you can rent for large or small parties and (my personal favorite) Frisbee golf!! The idea is that you are throwing the Frisbee into nets, just like trying to putt a golf ball into a hole. It seems like a ton of fun, but I have yet to try it.
There are also some nice trails out of the park and a great bridge to walk down.
I am also pretty sure you are allowed to bring dogs here, but I am not 100% sure.

I grew up in the north east so Rundle Park has always been a part of my life.

Over the years, Rundle has kind of morphed from the typical river valley park into sports/active persons dream come true.

What can you do in Rundle Park? How about:

Play football, baseball, mini golf, paddle boats, frisbie golf, kayaking, kayak basketball, run. walk, bike ride, toboggan, cross country ski and ice skating just to name a few.

They also have the ACT Recreation Centre located in the park. ACT has a swimming pool open to the public and although I haven't been there in years, I believe they still have billiard tables you can rent inside.

Of course Rundle is also a good park just to veg out and take a nap or read while lying on the grass because it is so big and less conjested than other river valley parks.

The only downside to Rundle Park is the so-called "playground" located behind the ACT rec centre. Back in the day when I was a kid growing up in the 80s Rundle Park had one of the coolest playgrounds in town. It was filled with great slides, monkey bars, swings, climbing equipment, you name it.

That great playground has been torn down and replaced by a pathetic theme park called "Canada's Forest". It is nothing but a weed infested piece of garbage. Cheesy signs that say "Beware of bears" hang there(as if pre schoolers can read). It has almost no playground equipment and is almost empty even on weekends, when the old playground would be crawling with kids on a hot day.

Crap like this really makes me wonder who runs this city at times. The person who decided to tear down that awesome playground and replace it with that stupid theme park should get a good hard slap across the face.

Other than that injustice, Rundle Park is one of the best parks in the city. Check it out sometime, especially if you are a sports nut or you have energy to burn.

Rundle Park is a really nice park.

I will often go here if Hawrelak Park is busy on a nice summer day.

I love walking around and just enjoying the peace and quiet, enjoying nature and the fresh air.

    And don't forget a little bit of mini-golf!  Who doesn't love mini-golf?!

I like to think of this place as an understudy to Hawrelak.  It's also a great place for frisbee, soccer, enjoying the big fountain, just going for walks, and don't forget tanning!.  It's a really nice place to hang out.

I really do like Rundle Park.  It's a great place to go with friends and spend a warm summer afternoon.

Rundle Park has outdoor miniature golf! I don't know why, but I don't like indoor mini golf. Is it just me, or does indoor just feel wrong? Okay, I guess it's just me. I remember coming here as a kid and winning a free game. That was very exciting.

I still come to this park every so often. It's a really beautiful place to take a walk, play frisbee, or have a picnic. There's a few really nice man-made ponds here and very large fountains. I like going up to the shore and skipping rocks. You can rent a paddle boat and travel across the pond. It's actually pretty fun and good exercise too. When the ponds freeze over in the winter, you can go skating. There's rentals available if you don't have skates. There's an 18-hole golf courses here too, which I've been to once. It's pretty nice, but I totally suck at golf.

Rundle Park is also a great place to go biking. You can just bike on trails around the park, or continue on to other adjoining parks. I like to go down to the river too, where's there's dirt trails, if you're more adventurous.

Rundle Park has tennis, swimming, and outdoor tents for large get-togethers too. There's just so much to do here; it's definitely a great place to relax or to keep active.

Rundle Park gets over shadowed by Hawrelak Park in the summer but it is a nice alternative. It is as good a place as any to walk around and take in the fresh air and get a feeling of calm.

It's not uncommon to find people playing soccer or throwing a frisbee around here, even a few water fights go down. Most of the time you will spot people tanning or friends just hanging out and taking it easy.
