A little piece of paradise in the mountains.
I stayed here with a group of friends for a wedding this weekend - more of a condo rental service than a hotel, and one of the minority that didn't require a 5-day minimum stay.
With our group's size, I got to see two different three-bedroom units. Ours was a corner unit on the third (top) floor that had two huge patios with terrific mountain views (how could you not? they're right there!) complete with a Broil King BBQ. The interiors are all modern log cabin, with granite surfaces, a fireplace, and stainless steel appliances everywhere you look. The iPod docking station gets the party started. And when you finally do get to bed, the bedrooms are relatively minimalist but as comfortable as any premium chain hotel.
No complaints about the facilities. Shared outdoor hot tub, billiards room, fitness room: all nice things in theory but we were so busy with Canmore itself we never quite got to it!
Service at check-in was a bit gruff, particularly in explaining the damage deposit (a bit disconcerting to a group of professionals...) Also inconvenient is no wireless internet in one room, and wireless not working in the other. I was kicking myself for not bringing my AirPort Express along.
Overall a relaxing stay with only minor inconveniences. Rally your friends together for this small luxury. About $900 for two nights in a three-bedroom unit.
