As a local having grown up in Victoria, this is my favorite tourist attraction.  The figures are beautiful, the staff is very knowledgeable about the history of the figures displayed, and it is a great place to really feel connected to both history and myth, and feel like it is standing right in front of you.

I have very fond memories as a child visiting the museum, and remember everything from first getting interested in the scandalous history of the monarchy, to the horrendous and amazing torture room, and being dazzled by childhood stories come to life.

As an adult I have brought my younger sisters and had the opportunity to regale them with stories and historic facts as well as spiritual discussions all the way through, with friendly staff to fill in my knowledge gaps.

On my last visit to Victoria I heard this place was closing for good and being turned into a pub.  I really wish it weren't true, they are destroying one of Victoria's best gems.  It will be painfully missed.

Really groovy...spooky groovy...the accuracy of these displays are *ASTOUNDING*

I was particularly drawn to the Tudor Family section as they have been an unknown preoccupation of mine since childhood and I was excellently suprised to see one of Lady Jane Grey.

So much more here than just wax people to look at. It's a great spot of fun right near the water

Yeah! Our very own version of Madame Tussaud's! The wax museum is another one of those places that never seem to change much, except perhaps to periodically update the gallery of famous faces in the upstairs gallery. And even then, the famous faces therein tend to be more historical than current, so they don't even have to do that too often.

My favourite part is still the Chamber of Horrors (oooh) in the downstairs of the museum, where you get to see all kinds of beheadings and torturous stuff. Nightmares in wax... I've always liked the Franklin expedition stuff, which mostly consists of a wax reproduction of young John Torrington, the way archaeologists found him preserved when the dug up his grave back in the 1980s. It's kind of a live version of the creepy-but-fascinating famous photograph.

I've been here many many times, so I probably won't go again until something new and cool goes on exhibit, but if you haven't been, it's a entertaining museum and a lot of fun.

The Royal London Wax Museum was the first place I stopped after entering Canada from the ferry. This museum is i-ight, eh! You pay for admission at the entrance and walk through past several notable figures including Queen Anne, the Pope, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, John F. Kennedy, Napoleon Bonaparte, Mickey Mouse, Walt Disney, Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, and many more, just to name a few. At the exit, you'll walk right into a strategically placed gift shop stocked with souvenirs and collectibles.

I'd say bring the kids, but for myself, it would be a while before I'd return here. I continue to check out other wax museums for fun.

    Photographs are allowed.

I only have one wax museum to compare this to, and that would be one in the Dallas area. I will certainly say that this one was better than that! There was a very heavy British theme to it (which makes sense) and one of the highlights for me was the depiction of Henry VIII and his wives.

The horror section of the museum impressed as well, with depictions not of fantastic horror (with some small exceptions), but of real implements of torture such as the rack and the guillotine.

My only complaint was that it seemed somewhat small. One of the best things was that we went late in the evening, around 8:30 pm and were some of only a handful of people there. Definitely made it more enjoyable.

What a waste of money! it only takes 30 mins or less to do the whole walk through.

For about the cost of a movie, you can wander this museum.  To determine if this is a good deal, you'd need to ask if you're interested in looking at wax museums for 2 hours.

While I was the one who picked this place, and dragged two friends, I did have some second thoughts.  My conclusion is that this is a funny place to go, and it's interesting, but you should only go once.  That's enough, you've seen it all!

This is one of those places that you always hear about, and you should experience at least once in your lifetime. Especially if you are interested in British royalty. Some of the wax figures are incredibly lifelike, and are uncanny resemblances of the real people, others... not so much. It's a fun way to spend a couple of hours. A plus is that you are allowed to take photographs!

As with Miniature World, the wax museum was a great place to see historic figures.  The figures are creepy at times, but the "hall of horror" definitely was the kicker for me, trying to keep me nieces eyes covered while tripping in the dark...
