    *THREE AND A HALF STARS*

Wandered in here one weekend looking for brunch/lunch.   We'd come here thinking it was going to be a Cafe, which it was for years.  When we saw it had changed we first wandered away thinking we wanted a more traditional breakfast.   After sitting at a table at another local cafe for some 15 minutes or so without even offer of a coffee, we left and came back here, and we are so glad we did.

This location was also a 'north american cafe' from way back when but extensive renovations have turned this into a beautifully appointed room . High ceilings, warm colours.  Was impressive to walk into.

Service was prompt and eager.  Food was delicious.  It was one of those times when I think fate guided us.  I'm going to have to re-bookmark this so we visit again soon.

I took a potential mate I had just met to this place. It was new (in February) and thought 'what the heck', let's have an adventure.
    Whoops.
It looks nice inside. The food is not inspiring. It's Thai for those that don't like Thai food.
Ordered a Phad Thai and some other noodle dish.
The Phad Thai was made with regular spaghetti(!) noodles and was bland-o-rama. I think they're doing that trick where they spoof the Pad Thai sauce using ketchup. The other noodle dish was a runny bland affair using Catelli noodles..
We joked that it was like Thaitalian food, but at least it wasn't another bridal dress store.
If you like real Thai food keep walking.
