I 100% adore the Royal Board Shop. It's only a year old, and I'm hoping it starts to give the established shops a run for their money. It is owned and operated by riders and specializes in snowboards, longboards and surfboards. You can pretty much procure any kind of equipment or gear related to those sports here. There is so much selection, and they keep the interior both classy and contemporary and really, really showcase everything.
I was first drawn in by the surfboards. I don't actually surf, what with being landlocked and every time I'm by an ocean I've lacked either the time or the waves to get things started. But it is pretty much #1 on my list of projects so I figure I had better keep informed. The guys in this store know a hell of a lot.
They give a lot of the better snowboard shops a run for their money in terms of gear and merch. They have a ton of great retail brands and clothes in addition to some really sweet jackets for girls and guys. And don't get me started on the hoody selection. Also: shoes... I love skate shoes, and man oh man it is like hitting gold here. Seriously drool worthy.
I was just in the store today, and they were in the process of getting a ton of new merch on the shelves. The sales guy still took the time to stop and help us, and chat about the upcoming season. Thumbs up on service!
I also spied some tres cute toques. It must be my Canadian coming out, because I am pretty much crazy for toques. I have a growing collection, and I spied some very worthy additions. There was also a green balaklava with changeable velcro mustaches. This level of awesome earns a whole lotta love from me. -

No matter what kind of board sport you're in to - be it skateboarding, snowboarding, longboarding or even surfing - Royal Board Shop has the goods to deck you out like a king or queen.
I went in looking for a belated birthday gift for my little sister, and was assisted immediately by the dude at the front counter in my quest. They have a great selection of boarding lifestyle apparel neatly displayed in the upstairs portion of the store.
Downstairs, you will not be "board" (yawn) by their selection of the various board types they offer. I'd say definitely check out this store if you want to be treated like royalty. Who knows - maybe one day you'll end up Chairman of the Board!
